Fleet Admiral Arcavius was alerted to an incoming transmission, indicating the impending arrival of the Supreme Commander from the Yaga Minor shipyards. The origins of his travel made him very much aware of why the needed detour was noted. His eyes look up, just in time to see the blur of the First Order's newly christened flagship, the Sovereign-class Super Star Destroyer, Sol Invictus, exit out of hyperspace. Having been repaired and refurbished to meet standards within the Imperial navy, the ship looked proud and fearsome among the cluster of warships awaiting outside of Bilbringi's asteroid field.
Upon the bridge of the Sol Invictus, the crew worked tirelessly with the Supreme Commander overlooking them from his command chair. A flurry of notes came up, indicating the presence of various Imperial fleets; Aurel Pellaeon and the Warlord Command, the Knights of Ren members, Soku and Harnan, and the Lictor-class ship utilized by Major Marcos. Surely more would come once the operation was underway. He leans over, quickly reviewing what was at his disposal. The Super Star Destroyer carried a bulk of their forces; two corps, numbering 40,000 soldiers, as well as plenty of reserve squadrons for combat. Overall, the Sol Invictus would not be the frontline ship for this operation, but rather situated for reserve and massive troop carrier. Nicademus already mapped out the planned invasion routes while on his way to Bilbringi. Their first destination would be Corulag.
He rose from his command chair, ordering an open frequency to the entire fleet present.
Today, we, the First Order, embark on the greatest series of campaigns not seen since the founding days of our nation. The Core has remained lawless and without guidance. Local governments have become despots, the people cry for order, for safety, for security. Former Imperial worlds have fallen to warlords and chaff under their extortion. Now is the time for us to bring them the light, to bring them stability they desire! To reclaim worlds that are rightfully ours! Let us be the heralds of order, the bringers of law, the nightmare of our foes! Forward, to Corulag!
The frequency was cut as the Sol Invictus, lining up with the Teutates Command, moves away from Bilbringi, heading in the direction of the galactic center. A series of hyperdrives warm up and, within a blink of an eye, the fleets launch for the Core Worlds region.

Tokin Herr felt the reversion from dark space in his stomach as the living vessel arrived at its destination. The pilot, Dromin Rag, murmured something under his cognition hood, confirming their arrival. The Seer looked about the control chamber of his Yorik Strohna, The Redeemer, and placed a scarred hand on the nearest wall. It was warm to the touch, but as hard as the exoskeleton the ship was encased in. It responded to his touch, turning translucent and presenting Tokin with a great view.
He hissed. A globe sat in the distance, and the taint of machines swarmed over it like a virus. This was why he was here. At his Gods' behest, the Yuuzhan Vong were to cleanse this galaxy of all synthetic machine creations. His small ship, grown rather than built, was designed perfectly by shapers to be a spy vessel. It looked remarkably similar to a normal asteroid, and would not give out any signals that the infidels would be looking for. Though there were ways of discovering the Yuuzhan Vong, Tokin felt the risk worth taking. He would start his galaxy-wide cleanse, and it would start soon. "Begin gathering information," he ordered. "This world is riddled with mechanical abominations, and the Gods will be pleased with information we can provide that will lead to their utter destruction."
He removed his hand from the wall which quickly become opaque. His orders were relayed by thought via the pilot, who used the brown-yellow sack encasing his head to commune directly with the creature that was the ship. Through that connection, Dromin used the sensory abilities of the Yorik Strohna to begin accumulating data that would be useful to an invasion.

Tokin was still in the 'brain' of his vessel but instead of looking through transparent coral walls, he now directed his attention towards a table before him. Like all great things of the Yuuzhan Vong, the table before him was actually a living creature. Shapers had created a creature which maintained perfect balance and had great tolerance of different weights. Its four insectoid legs were segmented three times. On it was another creature, a kind of jelly, that molded and shifted fluidly, creating different shapes. It depicted what the ship could 'see' in its periphery; it was showing Tokin what mechanical abominations were in orbit around the planet. Tokin was not familiar with many of the types of vessel that appeared in the jelly, but that was why he was there. To gather data.

An 'expert' on mechanical abominations had been satisfied that the Redeemer had saw all it could from this distance. Though it was a professional that the seer completely disagreed with, the Yorik-Strohna turned about and re-entered Dark Space.

After the events that transpired over Mustafar, High Admiral and Sith Lord Viox Savage had gathered up the candidate to become his successor for the position of High Admiral within the First Order. Savage's Sith Infiltrator exited hyperspace near the edges of the asteroid field that held the Bilbringi Shipyards. Following the recently updated astrogation drift charts, Savage plotted a course for the main shipyards. Speaking to the man seated in the co-pilot's seat, he expertly continued to pilot the craft.
"You have proven youself worthy, Harlan. Capable of commanding ships, leading men and following orders. You are also loyal and unflinching in the face of daunting odds. As a reward for your loyalty to both the First Order and myself, I have acquired a gift to show you my gratitude. Something that I believe you will be able to make the most of..."
Savage trailed off as the shipyards came into view, giving both occupants their first view of the newly constructed Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer...

Listening to his superior, Petrovsky swelled with pride inside. He had spent years training to join the Empire, only to join during its collapse. Spending the subsequent years commanding a small flotilla, Harlan heard of the invasion of Iridonia and the rise of Lord Savage to Sith'ari status. Digging deeper, Harlan learned that Savage was the High Admiral of the rising Imperial faction known as the First Order. Studying them from afar, analyzing tactics and strategy, Harlan spent the next several months running exercises within the Unknown Regions, preparing to join the First Order. Unfortunately, suffering defeat above Dantooine left him without a command. At least, that was until the High Admiral himself took note. Upon his recruitment by the Zabrak, Harlan spend the next few months commanding his forces. While seemingly odd at first, Harlan learned that the Zabrak was actually grooming him to be his replacement as High Admiral. From then on, Harlan did his absolute best when it came to his assignments. And then came the order to join Lord Savage as part of his Sith faction, the Blackguard Reborn, on a mission to Mustafar. Learning the details of the assignment, Harlan accepted without hesitation. Which proved to be fortuitus for him. It was a final test. One that he had passed, apparently. And now, looking out at the massive Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer, Harlan was left speechless for the first time in his career.
"My Lord...I do not know what to say...but I humbly accept this gift. I shall put it to good use."
It was all a little overwhelming. But there wasn't really much time to bask in it and process the situation, as he had a feeling that their visit to Bilbringi would be brief at best.

Bilbringi was a heavily guarded world, considered a part of the Imperial Core Territories, attaching it officially to the Imperial Sector and the heartland of the Empire. As a result, traffic along the routes that came to and from Bilbingri were heavily guarded. Even the presence of the Emperor's personal fleets were seen from time to time doing patrol alongside Grand Admiral Needa's ships.

With Coruscant's acquisition, the Namadii Corridor, the vital hyperlane, that the asteroid field sat upon, had exploded overnight. Trade flowed along the route, especially as it was routed through the Celanon Spur, at Dorin, and onto the Entralla Route at Ord Mantell. These three lanes connected trade between the former capital of Muunilinst, and the economic power of the Imperial Sector, with the resurgent Coruscant economy and the Core Worlds. As a result, Bilbringi saw heavy trade traffic coming in and out of its system. Despite the boon, trade was still heavy monitored by the military presence at the vital shipyard. Prosperity made the Empire a tempting target for pirates after all.

With the opening of the Namadii corridor, and corresponding increase in trade, the FO increased protective patrols to dissuade pirates or others seeking to prey on cargo vessels.
Two TIE FO space superiority fighters buzzed along the hyperspace route. The pair were nearing the end of their Pirate Combat spAce Patrol (PiCAP), having flown a route that took them out along the hyperspace corridor and around a fraction of the massive asteroid field that was the Bilbringi System.
"Trident-patrol, we are finishing up our PiCAP, rounding Temdore Point, and the Aussie Wake. No signs of Pi, and local instruments and sensors are not showing any gas or ion trails or gravity disturbances in the drift charts. All Clear."
"Bilbringi-VII, We read you, and copy. Trident 4 and 5, Completing patrol, All Clear. Your relief Patrol, Spear, is on station. Transmitting orbital asteroid drift charts. Return to base."
The Orbital drift charts were updated charts, to the minute, showing the clear paths through the whirling maze of tumbling, crushing, space rocks of the Bilbringi System. They were only good for a specified period of time, before a more updated version would have to be re-transmitted.
First Lieutenant Faust grinned inside his helmet, and turned off the comlink with Bilbringi-VII. "You hear that Trident 5? They are sending drift charts to help guide your sorry ass home!"
"Suck it, Trident 4, I'll race you back, see who gets there first!"
*The pilots hooted and hollered, gabbing on their short range transmitters, confident that they weren't interfering with any official operations, as they raced their fighters back along the outside of the asteroid field until they got to the winding corridor that would give them safe passage back to Bilbringi-VII and the shipyards.

Trident-5 was the first to reach the ingress point marked in the drift charts. His fighter pulled a celebratory loop-de-loop. "Booyah! Take that T4!"
Trident-4 followed closely behind him, keeping Trident-5 in his targeting reticule. "Your loop was loose T5. I could have shot you down 3 or 4 times."
"That's BS."
"I keep telling you, you have the ability to do it faster. Try the maneuver again. Keep it tight."
Trident 4 and 5 loitered, practicing turns for several minutes, before heading in.
"Lets go in together. Form up on me."
"Roger"
The TIE fighters paired up and entered the asteroid channel. The two pilots had flown plenty of patrols. They knew better than to muck around in the channel. Prime way to lose your wings.
FO commanders understood the need for young men to blow off steam, and most turned a blind eye to harmless "spontaneous maneuvers" and mock dogfights that fighter pilots engaged in in the clear space around Bilbringi. It raised morale, gave pilots an opportunity to pit their skills against a live opponent, and instilled trust and confidence in their squadmates. However, NO foolery was allowed in the confines of the several channels large enough for the massive capital ships to approach the docks. Spinning out and hitting an asteroid wouldn't make for a lousy day, but it might also halt traffic, which was unacceptable.

Trident 4 and 5, proceeded through the asteroid channel, following the drift charts.
The Drift charts were not military or tactical maps. Their purpose was to track safe navigable routes, not mark the location of every asteroid in the system. The drift chart when transmitted is tailored to the user's position; there is just ONE course marked as safe, and a timer counting down until the route is closed by asteroid drift. Enough of the asteroids are marked to provide a ship navigational references, and some of the channels are marked with navigational buoys controlled by Bilbringi. None of the smart mines were marked on civilian maps. The Order of the Eye, the prior imperial faction that occupied the system, also conducted hyper-accurate military surveys of the asteroid belt and had super computers tracking the positions of all objects deemed able to cause damage to starships. Their military maps reflected the strong strategic importance of the asteroid belt in protecting the Bilbringi platform and shipyards.
The TIE pilots passed several asteroid-tugs using tractor beams and their armored notched prows to nudge asteroids out of the channel.
Bilbringi had asteroid-tug ships that prevented any rocks from straying into hyperspace lanes and occasionally cleared additional channels through the asteroids. The tugs widened channels, or allowed them to shrink depending on security needs. The First Order, the heirs to many of the NOE's holdings, were the benefactors of much that the NOE had accomplished here.
The TIE fighters exited the channel into the wide cleared region around the Bilbringi platform and shipyards.
"Trident 4 and 5, incoming PiCAP, requesting permission to proceed to TIE Bay 3 for landing."
"B-VII, traffic control: Trident 4 and 5, Permission granted. Proceed to to TIE bay 3. Switch comms to local Deck Officer for further instructions. Welcome home."
The TIEs banked and headed for TIE Bay 3, the home for Trident Squadron, before slowing into a holding pattern outside the bay. 1st Lt. Faust switched the Comms to Bay 3's Deck Officer transmissions. "Trident 4 and 5, incoming TIEs: requesting permission to enter Bay 3."
Through the view port of the command office at the bay, Faust could see an officer turn from his hanger console and peer out for a visual scan. "Bay 3, Deck Officer Chames to Incoming Tridents: Permission to enter Bay 3 is granted, steer for berths 26 and 28 respectively, no further instructions. Over."
"Trident 4 and 5, incoming: we copy, Berths 26 and 28." The TIEs broke their holding pattern and headed into the Bay. They docked with the receiver clamps for TIE fight berths 26 and 28 holding the Fighters high above the bay deck. "Trident 4, Signing off." "Trident 5, Signing off."

Once secure in the docking clamps, the docking skirt lowered over the TIE fighters. Faust performed the post-flight check list to power down his TIE, before unbuckling his flight restraints. He popped the dorsal hatch and climbed up the service ladder to the gantry way.
"Good patrol! I live for this stuff! And to get to do it for the First Order no less! What a beautiful day!" Cheeks, aka Trident 5, was already waiting for Faust with his flightsuit helmet off. "So what are you planning on doing, Verge?"
"I don't know yet. Ideas, but nothing set yet. What are you planning on doing, Cheeks?" Faust deliberately took his time unhooking his life-support hoses from his helmet, before undoing the neck fastener and lifting his own helmet off.
"Well, I am going to take the R'n'R and find some broad on some planet and fornicate like I was under the emperor's orders." Cheeks gave a good hip thrust for emphasis.
"Yeah? And then what?"
"And then re-enlist. They offered me a bonus. I would have done it for free, but my parents could use the credits."
"Not going to spend it all on twi'lek ladyboys?" Faust had laughter in his eyes.
"HA,! You know me too well." Punched Faust in the arm. They walked on the gantry way towards the squadron ready room, high above the flight deck of hanger bay 3.

*A Transport departed from the main Hanger of Bilbringi-VII. It successfully navigated the asteroid field using the drift charts and channel beacons. Once in open space, it made its way to the hyperspace lanes and made the jump to hyperspace, following the Namadii Corridor to Corescant.*

A Lambda Class shuttle drops from Hyperspace and enters the system. It stops at the outskirts of the asteroid field. The shuttle bears the markings of the Blackguard Imperium.
Shuttle BGI-1232, from Pzob, requesting orbital drift charts. Bound for the Bilbringi Platform. We request you inform the Platform commander that Lord Havok is returning home.
The shuttle specifically mentioned a derelict structure, the Bilbringi platform, that had last been used when the Bilbringi system was occupied by the NOE, prior to the rise of the First Order.

After what seemed like a suspiciously long delay...
Shuttle BGI-1232, Bilbringi traffice control: Transmitting drift charts. Proceed to Bilbringi VII main hanger.
The shuttle ended its holding pattern and headed into the asteroid field. Two FO TIE fighters formed up behind the shuttle and escorted it in.

A military shuttle emerged from the Bilbingi station and docked with an FO Corvette. The Corvette was joined by a military escort of two Gozanti cruisers with TIE complements. The group made their way through the asteroid field into the hyperspace lanes, before jumping to hyperspace. They rode the Namadii all the way to Corescant.

A Victory III SD emerged from the asteroid field, guided by support vessels and space tugs. Now in open space, the ship was free to go anywhere. Nearby, the Namadii Corridor would be the route in or out of the system.
The Ship's master oversaw the space tugs casting off their tractorbeams.
The Belphagor engaged its sub-space drive and picked up speed, leaving the tugs and support vessels behind. The vessels flashed their lights and fired flares in fanfare.
"Admiral Sykes, Perhaps a demonstration of this ships maneuverability is in order? See how this crew handles her." Captain Gagarin was eager to show off his well drilled crew for the Admiral. "Make it so." "Hard to starboard, Bring her about!"
The crew executed the turn well. The ship pulled the tight right turn, with excellent response. The inertial dampeners kept everything level. "Hard to port! Reverse port engine! Engage thrusters!" Engineering engaged reverse thrust vectors on the port engine as a break, and swung the ship around, with her remaining engines and assisted by starboard thrusters. The ship underwent the extreme turn, which stressed the engines and keel of the ship.
The ship rapidly turned, faster than one would think possible for a 900 meter ship.
Captain Gargarin was pleased by his crew's performance so far. He continued turns in the ship, Up, down, left, right; at various speeds and angles until benchmark performance for the ship was confirmed to be in accordance with its design specifications.
Admiral Sykes nodded to the Captain. Now that the ship was confirmed to be operational they would move on. The captain spoke to the officer of the watch. "Mr. Trille, You have the bridge, we are observers at this point." "Aye Sir! I have the Bridge!" Lt. Trille took his place.
The captain and admiral slowly walked about the Bridge observing the crew. "Ships log, 1415 hours, commencing drills" The captain then spoke into a comlink with the Ship's Loadmaster.
An alarm sounded. "Man and cargo adrift!" The Officer of the Watch looked surprised before quickly reacting. "All stop!" The crew jumped into action at their stations. "Bring us around, deploy search and rescue!" "Damage control, report: do we have a hull breach?" "Negative." "Whats the story then?" "An environmental shield failed in the hanger, and men and cargo got spaced." "How many missing?" "Unknown, 1-10." The Hanger bay commander would have an exact number soon.
The ship stopped and slowly rotated around its Y-axis. The ship deployed shuttles with airlocks and crew in sealed environmental suits.
Within minutes the dummies in stormtrooper armor, and empty cargo containers would be recovered on the shuttles, and enroute to the hanger again. "Have a medical team standing by!"
"Well done, Mr. Trille. You are relieved. Ms. Lamper, You have the bridge." "AYE sir! I have the bridge." The ensign took her place over the bridge, as the captain debriefed Lt. Trille.
The Admiral looked out the view port but was still listening. "Excellent work, Lieutenant, but a finer point would be to deploy at minimum a pair of fighters for each rescue shuttle. This would allow for a quick response and protect the shuttles if the rescue operation was an ambush. You won't find that in procedure, but it is almost always a good idea." "Excellent advice." The lieutenant looked to the admiral, who spoke. "That is all, return to your post." The Captain finished. "Yes, sir. Thank you sir!" Lt. Trille was one of the crew fresh from the academy, and this was his first posting. The Captain would make sure he got his space-legs quickly.

The SD Belphagor continued practice drills in the open space around the Bilbringi Asteroid field.
FIRE FIRE FIRE! The most dangerous emergency on a space-faring vessel. A fire could eat up all the oxygen in an area in minutes, and the ships ventilation system would literally fan the flames. The Officer of the Watch: "Damage control! Report on location! "In hanger maintenance." "Deploy fire suppression teams!" <"Aye aye! "> The maintenance area of the hanger was where damaged TIE fighters, and their parts were repaired or received their mandatory inspections as they racked up the flight hours. It was also next to the Hanger Magazine with its ordinance storage for TIE bombers... "Fire suppression teams deployed. Ship's fire suppression system non-responsive." The ship's fire response system primarily operated by sealing bulkheads in the area of a fire, and pumping compressed inert gasses to smother the fire. "Confirm the fire has not spread to the Hanger magazine and seal the bulkheads." <"AYE AYE!"> The seasoned officer turned to Environmental Control. "Shut off ventilation to the hanger magazine. Prepare to vent the magazine." "Confirmed, no Fire in the hanger magazine." "Evacuate crew in the Hanger magazine and seal blast doors, Standby to vent." The officer was focusing on the magazine because a fire their could detonate munitions and destroy the ship.
"Damage control reports Fire has spread from maintenance into the Hanger Bay. Fire is not contained." "Prepare to emergency vent in the Hangerbay, Maintenance bay, and Magazine." "Aye Aye, Withdrawing all non-environmentally shielded crews." *The officer did not predict the fire might spread to the hanger bay and now he was playing catch-up. But She was preparing a proven defense.* "All crew withdrawn, except environmentally shielded fire teams. Standing by to vent." "Vent the atmosphere of Hanger Bay 1, Hanger Bay Maintenance, and Hanger Bay magazine." "Aye aye, Venting." The Officer of the Watch stood by the holo-display of the ventral side of the ship. If the ship was actually venting, she would see smoke and fire ejected from the ship as all the air in those rooms was vented to the vacuum of space. The fires and smoke would dissipate and the fire crews would then be able to spray fire suppressant foam anywhere there was fire damage, and smother the fire. "Damage control? Report!" "Venting was effective. Fire is extinguished, damage is under control."
>>>> When the officer of the watch was debriefed, the feedback consisted of the need to trust damage control and give them more time to work. She sealed off the magazine too early, when no fire had spread there. This was an issue if the fire occurred during a battle or military operation. Shutting the magazine down prematurely could cause fighter operations to grind to a halt. During a battle, the survival of the ship, was sometimes secondary to greater vital military operation and timing could make the difference between victory and defeat. Otherwise, in a peaceful setting, she did act with appropriate caution, with due regard for the safety of the ship and crew.

On the Belphagor: The ship was on the second week of exercises and drills. Captain Gagarin was going to make sure the officers and crew were ready for the rigors of service on his ship. It was almost time for the next drill...
The ship was moving and then suddenly jerked. The collision alarm sounded. "COLLISION!" The officer of the watch was ready. "Environmental! Report any areas showing negative or dropping atmospheric pressure, Damage Control: assess damage and prepare collision mats. Where were we hit?" Multiple choruses of "Aye Aye!" Rang out as the officer gave orders. Reports started coming in on the ship's intercom. "Sensor's indicate we were hit amid ships, Abaft the weapons targeting systems." "We are showing loss of atmosphere in the crew berths!" "Use tractor beams to hold the Asteroid steady to prevent secondary collisions!" <Aye Aye!> "Sir, Artificial Gravity failing!" "All crew follow zero gravity protocals!" The orders were relayed and crews belted themselves to their chairs, put on magnetic boots, or hooked their feet into deck stirups by their work stations. The Officer of the watch took his place on the bridge by the tactical readout and pinned the toe of his boot into the deck stirups there. The artificial gravity turned off and he felt his stomach rise as he went weightless. The Bridge crew, and the crew through out the ship, similarly anchored themselves and continued the drill.
With coordination, the "asteroid" was removed from the ship, as rescue crews rushed into the crew space to rescue "casualties" there. Externally, a repair shuttle deployed mock collision mats to protect the area that would have had a gaping hole from the asteroid collision. Damage control teams repaired the environmental systems and brought the ships gravit generators back online.
In the Bilbringi system, the Asteroid collision drill was hardcore drilled into every crew. This was the first time the Belphagor did the drill, but it would not be the last.
The Admiral and Captain commended the Officer of the Watch for successfully completing the drill.
