*Raine gave a shrug when her buir asked if everything was good.* "For the most part." *Luckily Ro explained everything in more detail so Raine didn't have to. She pocketed the medicine and gave Ro a quick thank you hug before darting off to where she left he rucksack. The thought of going to Yavin 4 was starting to make her anxious to get going. When Lorcan mentioned, quite subtly, to empty the rocks out of said bag, she couldn't help but be glad about it. Picking up the heavy bag, she figured she empty out of Roisin's eyesight. She rolled her eyes when her buir started saying that they were going to take plenty of breaks and for her not to push herself.* "Okay, I got it."

True to his word, Lorcan sets an easy pace for the walk back to Faelan's vheh'yaim, stopping frequently to let Eimhin explore areas or examine things that catch the lad's attention so that Raine can get some rest while Lorcan follows or sometimes chases her brother around to keep him from getting into anything he should not.
Once they reach the vheh'yaim, Lorcan, an old hand at packing in a matter of moments given the frequent need to deploy with only a moment's notice, has Raine and Eimhin get whatever they want to bring for the trip together and, once they have done so, herds them back out to get underway for Norg Bral's small starport where Fionnuala's ship is waiting for them.
Never having been a fan of the Pursuer-class enforcement ship's design, which seems awkward and lop-sided to him with its lone stabilizer brace, Lorcan scowls as they make their way aboard through the entry hatch, muttering, "At least it has decent firepower and shields, not that we'll need either of them, and then tells Raine and Eimhin, Auntie Fee has modified this ugly heap of junk so it is more passenger friendly. All of the prisoner detainment areas are either cabins, the galley or the common area now, so at least we'll comfortable. Leading the way forward, passing through the bridge, Lorcan shows his children where the common area is and then where they can bunk, tossing his duffle on the bed in what he will use for his quarters when they have completed the tour. Meeting Raine's eyes and pointing from his eyes to Eimhin to silently ask that she keep an eye on her brother to make sure that the lad's curiosity does not result in any permanent harm to himself or to the ship, Lorcan explains, Auntie Fee usually keeps this thing pretty well stocked, so grab some grub if you get hungry. Hooking a thumb over his shoulder to indicate he will be heading aft to the bridge, Lorcan says, I'm going to do the pre-flight junk and then get us going. I think there's a hologame table in the common area if you guys get bored, so, uh, have fun, eat healthy, don't stay up too late and all that. Mind your sister," Lorcan concludes, patting Eimhin on the head as he waits to see if either of his children have any questions before he starts heading back to the bridge.

*The walk back to their vheh'yaim was uneventful. Raine, to her great relief, had dumped the rocks in her rucksack some distance back. She spent most of the walk watching her brother explore, and her buirs attempts to keep him out of trouble.*
*Once home, Raine only packed what she needed. A survival knife, her besker'gam gauntlets and a few other small things. She was used to traveling light and only with what she needed. *
*The ship in front of her could only be described in one word, ugly. At least that was Raine's take on it. She followed her buir through the bridge and deeper into the vessel. The ship didn't look much better on the inside. She agreed with her buir, though, that she didn't want to have to use the ships defenses. Raine tossed her bag onto an empty bunk and glanced around for a second. At least this thing didn't look like a prison ship anymore. Her gaze went from her buir to Eimhin as her buir signaled for her to keep an eye on him.* "How long does it take to get to Yavin 4?"

Lorcan, grinning cheerfully as he shrugs his shoulders and admits freely, "No idea, buddy. Guess we'll find out together," and then turns about and continues on towards the bridge. Faelan and Raicheal usually handle the piloting duties, and though Lorcan is confident in his ability to pilot Fionnuala's ship, he has never paid much attention to things like maps of the universe.
After managing to bring the Pursuer's systems online, Lorcan eventually also figures out how to plot their course in the navcomputer, leading him to shout out to anyone that might be listening, "It's really not that far at all! Practically next door really. Leaning over to get a closer look at the route the computer has plotted so that he can sound even more like he knows what he is talking about, Lorcan adds, Yeah, we just hop on to the Daragon Trail, follow that a bit, and then swing right onto the Gordian Reach to get to Yavin. Easy," Lorcan concludes, and then gets to work on figuring out how to close the boarding ramp and get the Pursuer up into the air.

*Well at least they knew where they were going, just not how long. As her buir headed to the bridge, Raine lead Eimhin into the ships common area. She began to look for something to her and her brother to snack on during the flight. Her search was interrupted by her buirs voice yelling that it wasn't that far. Then he started throwing out places she didn't know.* "I don't know what any of those places are." *She suddenly had a feeling that this might be a rougjer ride than necessary. Heading over to Eimhin, she strapped her brother in just in case her feeling was right.*
*Looked towards the front of the ship and could just barely make out the open loading ramp. She nervously called out to Lorcan.* "Ummm...buir, isn't the loading ramp supposed to be closed now?"

"Yeah, I don't either, Lorcan mutters to himself with a chuckle, and then, thinking he has found the boarding ramp controls, closes one eye while stabbing at it with an index finger. The Pursuer's repulsorlifts roar to life, the ship lurching upward unsteadily. Oops, Lorcan mutters, hitting the button again, causing the ship to drop down gracelessly. Yeah, yeah, I'll close it in a minute, Lorcan shouts over his shoulder to Raine, pursing his lips in thought as he lies, I just have to check some things first, you know, pre-flight tests and all."
"There you are you schutta, Lorcan mutters as he finally finds the right button to close the boarding ramp. See, he calls out to Raine triumphantly, all good. After a few more scans of the control board, Lorcan concludes that he has the gist of things, and after saying a mental prayer, brings the repulsorlifts back online and takes the ship up. Now where was that landing gear thing again?" Lorcan mutters as he adjusts their heading and begins making for orbit.

*Eimhin stopped short when his sister gave him a warning growl, telling him to disregard Lorcan's instruction to help her. Feeling bored and a bit curious, he went up to cockpit. He grunted in an effort to haul himself into the copilot's seat.*

Norg Bral Starport
"Nice landing lil' buddy, Lorcan cheerfully tells his son, Eimhin, once the Pursuer-class enforcement ship has touched down. Ruffling Eimhin's hair, Lorcan says, Why don't you and JARVIS do whatever post-flight stuff needs to be done, while I go and wake your sister? As he is about to leave the cockpit, Lorcan lifts an index finger as he remembers something important, turning around and telling Eimhin, Remember, no need to mention anything to Fee about the minor, he holds his index finger and thumb a few centimeters apart to convey how small a thing he thinks the damage to the ship's exterior hull is, damage to her ship. No need at all, nope, none, really," he concludes, heading aft to check in on his daughter.
Gently shaking Raine's shoulder to wake her, Lorcan says, "Ad'ika? Time to wake up. We're home. You feel up to walking to the speeder so we can head to Auntie Fee's to have whatshername check your arm? I can carry you if you feel woozy."

*Raine had finally started falling into a peaceful sleep. That was until something shook her awak. She started and instinctively clutched her right arm as if protecting it. Her eyes quickly turned to the source of abrupt awakening to see her buir. She slowly relaxed as she realized who it was. Letting out a soft breath, she carefully sat up.* "I think I can walk. It's not that far."
*She stood with grate care and waited till she was sure she had her footing. Her injured arm still wouldn't move on its own. This worried her as she stared at the injured arm. Looking from her arm to her buir, she gave him a nod.* "Okay, I'm ready, I think. Although how ready I am to face Auntie Fee....I'm not sure about that."

Laughing a bit nervously, Lorcan tries to sound cheerful as he says, "Oh, no need to worry. I have a plan. We don't tell her about the damage to her ship. Rubbing a hand down his stubbled cheek, Lorcan moans, I'm going to be in enough trouble as it is when she sees your arm."
Lorcan's worry proves, when they arrive at Fionnuala and Rosin's vheh'yaim, to have been founded, and he is glad that he put on his buy'ce before they exit the airspeeder and head inside, where Fionnuala takes one look at Raine and immediately starts shouting at him while slapping him upside the head.
Roisin, sighing with a roll of her eyes as Fionnuala backs Lorcan into a corner while angrily yelling at him, smiles and tells Raine, "Let's go and take a look at that arm, not liking the way that the girl is holding her arm, which is either too swollen for her to move or has suffered nerve damage that prevents her from moving it freely. After entering the room where she had examined Raine prior to the apparently ill-fated trip to Yavin, Roisin collects her medkit and handheld medisensor as she asks, So, what happened?"

*Eimhin glances around to be sure there are no eavesdroppers and then tugs on his father's right hand*
"Buir? You know that mistake I made?"
*Eimhin whispers in a soft hiss and when stressed, his already high pitched boyish voice manages to hit another octave. His face pales*
"Aunt Fee is going to KILL me! When I activated JARVIS...well...the AI only recognizes ME as the pilot of Aunt Fee's ship! The only way to get rid of JARVIS is to blow up her ship!"
*Under normal circumstances, the young lad would have been affronted that his voice sounded so girlish in that moment*

*Raine couldn't help but feel bad for her buir as Fee backed him into a corner. His besker'gam would protect him, but Raine wondered for how long. She didn't have much time to think on this before Roisin led her away. The room was exactly how she remembered it, at least in the one time she had been there. Raine sat on the edge of the bed and watched Roisin for a moment while she thought on how to tell her.* "Well...I was attacked by a Nexu. The thing bit my arm really hard, and now I can't move my arm."
*She hesitated for a moment before deciding to go further into detail.* "But that was after I was taken captive by pirates and escaped. Don't blame my buir! He left us locked in the ship while he went to a village. The pirates broke into the ship. I hid Eimhin, but I wasn't fast enough to find a hiding spot." *She paused for a moment to catch her breath.* "After I escaped, I took refuge in a shipping container. That's where I was attacked by the nexu and my buir saved me."

After Fionnuala has finished berating and hitting him, after which she stormed outside to cool off, Lorcan kneels down in front of his son as the boy reveals the mistake he had mentioned before. Nodding after Eimhin has finished speaking, Lorcan lifts a hand to rub his temples as he shakes his head and tells his son, "No, buddy, you are not the one she is going to kill when she finds out, and then moans in a resigned tone, I'm the only dead man walking here."
Putting a hand on EImhin's shoulder and grinning cheerfully as a thought occurs to him, Lorcan says, "Actually, I have an idea that might just work. Nodding, Lorcan says with a grin, Don't worry lil' dude, no one will die and nothing will be blown up if my plan works."
Roisin tries her best not to look too annoyed, or too amused when Raine suggests Lorcan is not to blame, as Raine recounts the events that led to her injury, instead focusing on removing the dressing covering the arm in question so that she can get a better look at the wound. Unable to refrain from muttering, "The di'kut wouldn't have had to save you if he had left you and your brother here with us, Roisin reluctantly admits after muttering, At least he did a decent job cleaning your wound and dressing it. Reaching for her medisensor, Roisin explains, The swelling and inflammation that is causing the stiffness and difficulty moving the arm is probably nothing too concerning, just a normal reaction to injury, and the fact there does not seem to be any external sign of infection yet is promising, but this, she waggles the medisensor, will let us know if there is any underlying muscle or tendon damage that could require surgical or therapeutic intervention to restore full use of the arm. Slowly passing the medisensor over the injured area of Raine's arm, Roisin says, I'll prescribe some antibiotics and something for pain, and then sets the medisensor down to await the results as she begins cleaning and redressing Raine's injured arm and asks, How are you feeling other than the arm? Any dizziness or chills? Shortness of breath? Tingling in your fingers or toes?"

*Raine almost narrowed her eyes at Roisin's comment.* "I can't be protected all the time." *Just stiff or nerve damage, that's exactly what her buir said. Her arm didn't feel right for that though. The pain was starting to leave, but it was still injured badly. She contemplated this while Roisin scanned it with the medisensor.* "No, none of that stuff. Just the stupid breathing thing, but that's getting better." *Raine looked down at her arm and tried to move her fingers. On Yavin she could get her pinky to move, now she couldn't get any response at all.* "Is it normal to lose all function and feeling to my arm? I really can't feel much now, and before we left Yavin, I could get my pinky to move but it won't now."

Policing her tone and expression so that her true degree of concern for the possibilities presented by the results of the scan is not evident, Roisin reluctantly concedes Raine's point about the realism that Lorcan can always protect her, saying, "Fair enough, and then sets the scanner aside as she answers her question to the best of her ability, It's not out of the realm of expectation for a mauling injury such as you've sustained, but I think you are going to need more than stitches and antibiotics. I don't want you to worry, but we need to get you to a medcenter to be treated. Redressing Raine's arm quickly, Roisin says, Let's get you to the medcenter, I'll comm on the way to make sure that you are admitted right away."
Moments later, having informed Lorcan, Fionnuala, and Eimhin of her thoughts on the matter, Roisin helps Raine to the airspeeder and, with a concerned Lorcan at the wheel, they are all soon bound for Norg Bral's medcenter. Insisting on carrying Raine once they have arrived, Lorcan takes her into his arms and carries her inside the medcenter's emergency room, where the medical and surgical team that Roisin notified are on hand to meet her and, getting her onto a stretcher, take her to the pre-operative unit to be prepped for exploratory surgery.
Lorcan, dropping into a chair in the waiting area after Raine has been taken away, gives Eimhin a reassuring smile despite his own worries, and then gets back on his feet to begin pacing as they begin the wait to hear from the doctors.

*Raine didn't like the sudden tone change in Roisin's voice, or what she said about going to the medcenter. This was something she hadn't expected, then again she really didn't know what to expect anyway. She tried not to show any signs of worry as Roisin redressed her arm and lead her to the speeder.*
*There was much grumbling as Lorcan carried Raine into the medcenter, about how it was her arm that was injured and not her leg. The grumbling quickly stopped when they entered the building and she was put on a stretcher. She gave her buir one last nervous look before she was carried off to the pre-op unit.*
*Raine wasn't in there long before a nurse accompanied by a medical droid entered the room. Quickly, they set to work by removing the dressing on her arm. Then the procedure began. Raine's injured arm was poked, prodded and scanned multiple times by various machines for what seemed like an hour. Finally, the nurse took all the data to the doctor before going to fetch Lorcan and co.*
-Nurse- "Mr. Bralor? If you'd come with me the doctor would like to go over the test results with you and your daughter."

Lorcan nods when the nurse asks him to come with her to the doctor, turning to Eimhin and telling his son in a cheerful, confident tone even though he truly feels apprehensive and almost frightened to hear what the doctor has to say, "Stay here with auntie Fee and Roisin, alright lil' buddy? I'll be right back." Giving Fionnula, who has not yet forgiven him for ignoring her advice to leave Raine and Eimhin with her while he went to Yavin but who has decided to set that fact aside for now, a grateful smile when she goes over to sit beside Eimhin and speaks softly to him, Lorcan follows the nurse to Raine's room where the doctor is waiting.
Doctor Oilbhreis Varad of House Bralor, a tall, muscular red haired near human that looks as though he would be more at home on a battlefield than here in a medcenter, says a lot of things that Lorcan finds he can barely follow after the red head starts by saying that bones in Raine's arm were crushed, along with muscle, nerve and tissue damage that will require further treatment and which could result in the loss of the arm if they do not decide on the course of treatment and initiate it soon enough.
Fortunately for Lorcan, Oilbhreis recognizes the fact that he is so overwhelmed that he has not been following along, and so says in a rumbling basso voice that would be perfect for shouting commands on a battlefield, "I know this is a lot to take in, vod. Trust me when I tell you that Raine is in very capable hands here, and can make a full recovery. There are two ways we proceed from this point that would result in a relatively swift, and more than full recovery period, he shifts his gaze from Lorcan to Raine as he speaks to include her in the discussion of the decisions that need to be made. The first option is the more drastic of the two, and would entail amputation of the forearm and replacement with a cybernetic prosthetic. The second treatment route offering a quick and more than complete recovery would involve replacement of the fractured bone with bonemer, and supplementation or replacement of the damaged muscle tissue with rybocoarse."
Giving Lorcan and Raine a moment to take in all that he has said, Oilbhreis swings his stethoscope around in a circle in his left hand and, after he gauges from their expressions that they are ready to move on, pockets the stethoscope and says, "The third option, avoiding the use of cybernetic or synthetic replacements, is not only slower than the others, but also does not have the same odds of resulting in a complete recovery. Essentially, the final option would be to wait for the swelling to go down enough to facilitate the ideal conditions for traditional surgical repair. We would use pins and plates to fix the fractured bones in place to allow them to mend, after which extensive physical therapy would be required to recover as much use of the arm as possible. I'll be right outside in the hall if you have any questions after you've discussed which way you would like to proceed."
Lorcan thanks Doctor Varad, and then, sitting on the edge of Raine's bed and gently punching her on the shoulder, cheerily jokes, "Looks like that trip to Yavin is gonna end up costing at least an arm, huh? Could have been worse, right? See, it could have been an arm and a leg, get it? Shaking his head, Lorcan says, Sorry, not really funny. So, he sighs, having formed his own opinion about the way he would want things to go, but wanting to get Raine's opinion first to avoid influencing what he believes is ultimately her decision to make, what do you want to do, ad'ika?"

*Raine gave her buir a small nervous smile when he entered the room. The smile quickly faded away at the news of how bad her arm actually was. Had the nexu really do that much damage? Her stomach squirmed at the thought.*
*She narrowed her eyes and let out a groan at her buirs joke. Closing her eyes, she leaned back on the bed and let the information sink in. Just like her buir, Raine had trouble taking it all in, especially all the options to treat her. She didn't want to completely lose her arm, that sounded terrible. The last option sounded the worst and it didn't seem very successful. That only left one choice in her mind.* "I think I'd rather have the second one. Losing my arm doesn't sound fun. And the thought of all those surgeries makes my stomach crawl."

Lorcan gives Raine a cheery grin accompanied by a thumbs up to show his eager support for her decision, and then turns to Doctor Varad, asking, "What happens next, doc?"
Oilbhreis motions toward the nurse waiting near the room's door, explaining to Lorcan, "We'll need you to sign a consent for the procedure, and then we will take Raine to the OR and get started. As the nurse brings up the consent form on a datapad, Oilbhreis asks if Lorcan and Raine have any questions about the procedure, answering them as simply and plainly as he can if there are any and then, as Lorcan pretends to read the consent form more thoroughly than he actually does before signing it quickly so as not to delay things any longer, says to Raine, I'll see you down in the OR Miss Bralor, and then, clapping Lorcan on the shoulder, tells him, Relax Dad, your daughter is in excellent hands. The procedure is one I've done more times than I can count. I could practically do it in my sleep at this point. I'll see you in the waiting room once I've completed the surgery."
After the nurse heads out, telling Lorcan and Raine that a transporter will be along shortly to take her to the OR, Lorcan jokes, "So, that nurse is kinda hot, huh? Maybe I should ask her out after they take you to the OR, eh? Running a hand through his hair, Lorcan tries to be serious for a moment, telling his daughter, The doc sounds like he knows what he's doing, so, you know, relax and don't worry. Giving Raine a hug, careful to avoid her injured arm, when the transporter arrives to take her to the OR, Lorcan kisses the top of her head and grins cheerily as he says, See you when you get back out with the new and improved arm, ad'ika."

*The decision was made, now all that was left was to get it over with. As the consent forms were finalized, Raine couldn't help but start to feel a little nervous. She tried her best to give a small smile as the doctor gave his reassuringwords before him and the nurse left the room.*
*Her attention turned to her buir when he made mention of the nurse. Even though it was a joke, she couldn't help but sigh and roll her eyes. She then burried her face into her buir chest as he hugged her. Raine gave her buir one final look before she was taken to the OR.*
*Raine found herself in a well lit sterile room, after she had changed into a patient's gown. She was laying on the operating table, starring up at the ceiling. The waiting was starting to make her more anxious then ever. Finally, the nurse came back in with the doctor. After final preparations, the nurse administered the anaesthetic. Within moments, the world grew dark and Raine was out cold.*
*Heavy, that's how her body felt when she began to wake. Her head felt like it was in a fog, everything seemed distant and muffled. Slowly, things began to get clearer. With some effort, she got her eyelids to open. After glancingaround the room slowly, she realized that she was no longer in the OR, but in a small recovery room. Her entire body felt odd, especially her right arm. Letting out a slow breath, she looked down at her arm laying across her stomach. Her arm was completelybandaged and held in place by several braces. She let out a sigh of relief, her arm was still there so they didn't have to amputate, and there was no sign of pins or plates, also good news. All in all, it seemed like the surgery was a success.*
