Lorcan, accustomed to waking early when he hasn't been drinking the evening before, wakes up shortly after Raine and, after a shower, heads into the main living area of the vheh'yaim. Ruffling Raine's hair as he passes the couch, Lorcan says, "Morning, ad'ika, cheerily, and then asks, How are you feeling? You hungry? Is your brother up yet? Groaning as he realizes that Faelan and Telarial are not around to make breakfast, he mutters, Maybe I should invest in one of those nanny droids, before, clapping his hands, saying, Well, let's see what there is to make that doesn't require much in the way of cooking ability, huh?"

*Eimhin rubbed tired eyes with his fists as he shuffled into the kitchen. He yawns and smiles when he sees Lorcan*
"Buir!!"

*Adonias enters through the fort gate of Norg Bral and slows his land-speeder. It only takes him roughly 10 minutes to locate Faelan Bralor's home. He parks nearby and hops out. Still suited up in his Beskar'gam, Adonias boldly strides up to the front door and knocks. He releases a nervous sigh. It had been a long time since he'd last seen his sister. He felt a bit awkward...Faelan seemed alright the first time they met but the man still intimidated him.*

*Raine scarcely grumbled when her buir ruffled her hair. She wasn't a big fan of it, but she didn't feel like fighting back.* "Still a little sore. Yeah I'm hungry." *She turned to see Eimhin enter the room.* "There he is."
*She began to struggle again with her hair as Lorcan went on about cooking and needing a nanny droid. Speaking of needing things.* "Buir, I need to get my hair cut. Do you think Fee will go with me? Since, you know, it might turn into a boring girl thing."

Turning around and spotting Eimhin as he shuffles sleepily into the kitchen as Raine is announcing his arrival, Lorcan walks over and scoops his son up, cheerily declaring, "Good morning, verd'ika! Placing his son on his shoulders, Lorcan heads to the pantry to search for something requiring little to no effort to make as he bawls out to Raine, I'll have something whipped up in a jiffy! And, uh, yeah, sure, Fee would probably be happy to do boring girl things with you," Lorcan says as he sniffs a container of pungent gihaal, recoils, and then holds it up for Eimhin to smell to see if his son might want the dried fishmeal, which has the benefits of requiring no work on his part and lasting for years meaning he doesn't need to worry about it being off.
Jogging over to look into the living area to emphasize his point after he recalls Fionnuala's unique taste in hairstyles, piercings, and tattoos, "No dreadlocks, no piercings anywhere other than your ears, and no tattoos allowed even if Fee has a momentary lapse of reason and says otherwise, got it?"
Looking towards the door after hearing knocking, Lorcan rolls his eyes, "That's probably her and Ro now, checking to see if we all managed to survive the night with me in charge. Nodding his chin towards the door, he tells Raine, Go let them in, will you? Bouncing back towards the kitchen to make Eimhin laugh, Lorcan ducks into the pantry and begins searching through it as he says, C'mon verd'ika, we better get something on the table fast or I'll get a lecture about nutritional needs and daily caloric requirements needed to sustain healthy growth rates."

*Raine watched her buir search the kitchen for breakfast. She let out an exaggerated sigh when he laid down some ground rules for going over town with Fee.* "So I can't even get my nose pierced?" *She asked as she tapped the left side of her nose. The tattoo part she could understand though. Getting one of those was still a few years away.*
*The knock at the door drew her attention. She hopped off her chair and went to see who it was, when her buir a asked her to, all the while believing that her buir wasn't giving himself enough credit for keeping them alive overnight. Raine opened the door expecting Fee and Ro. To her surprise, it was neither, instead it was Adonias. Only she recognized him as the guy from the Oyu'baat, the one she had followed. She had almost completely forgotten about him and the fact that he was Telarial brother. Raine took half a step back at the sight of him.* "H..hi." *She turned slightly towards the kitchen without taking her eyes off Adonias.* "Buir, I..I think it's for you."

"Nope, not even your nose, Lorcan confirms, reiterating in his very best voice of absolute parental authority not to ignored upon peril of severe and swift punishment, Ears or nothing where the piercings are concerned. Handing EImhin, riding on his shoulders, a bag of bas neral, Lorcan says, That'll be our last resort, verd'ika, I promise, and then resumes his search through his brother's pantry for something easy to make for breakfast. Just as he spots a bag of varos beside a container of haarshun bread, which are both preferable to the bas neral, Lorcan hears Raine calling out that she thinks whoever was at the door, obviously not Fionnuala and Roisin, is there to see him, and calls back to her cheerily, Be right there, ad'ika!"
Eimhin still riding on his shoulders, Lorcan chucks the bas neral back into the pantry, tosses the varos and haarshun bread onto the table, and then makes his way to the vheh'yaim's living area. Nodding his chin to greet their visitor, Lorcan arches an eyebrow inquisitively as he says with commingled hearty cheerfulness and curiosity since he does not recognize the beskar'gam, build or comportment of the man that has, if Raine is as right as rain in assuming he has come to see Lorcan, come to see him, "Su cuy'gar, vod! Me'copaani?"

*Raine watched Adonais almost hesitantly as she shifted from one barefoot to the other. When he buir showed up, she sidestepped behind him as if using him as a shield. She really wasn't sure why she was hesitant around him, maybe the because their first meeting wasn't the greatest. Hopefully Fee and Ro would show, then she could escape the house.*

The sound of intermittent blaster fire from the back yard of Faelan's vheh'yaim leads Fionnuala and Raine, after they have disembarked from the airspeeder, to head around to investigate. Lifting a hand to cover her eyes with a sigh when, having reached the back yard, she sees that Lorcan has decided to start teaching Eimhin the basics of handling a blaster by allowing his son to use a replica of a blaster pistol that fires relatively harmless small metal pellets to fire at a series of paper targets affixed to trees while he himself uses a real blaster, Fionnuala says, "At least he was smart enough not to let Em use a real blaster, huh?"
As she and Raine begin heading for the practice range Eimhin and Lorcan have set up, Fionnuala pauses to read a holonet message the dinging of her datapad alerts her has just been received. Patting Raine on a shoulder, a somewhat distracted expression on her face, Fionnuala says, "You go on ahead, I just need to check in with Ro quick," and then nods with a smile towards Lorcan and Em before walking a short distance away and taking her comlink from a pouch on her belt to comm Roisin.

*The sound of blaster fire caught Raine's attention when she first stepped out of the speeder. She paused momentarily at the sound before following after Fee. The source of said commotion turned out to be nothing more then her buir, who appeared to be teaching Em how to shoot a blaster pistol. She gave a small grin at the sight, knowing that shebwas right about what happens when they get bored.*
*Raine could see how distracted Fee seemed to be when she patted her on the shoulder and went to find Ro. She simply gave the older woman a nod and wondered over to her buir and younger brother. Raine clasped her hands behind her back and slowly stepped up behind her buir and Em, watching the two for a minute before speaking.* "Getting some target practice in?"

Turning around only after he puts two blaster bolts into the chest of one of the humanoid torso shaped paper targets, and a third into it's head, Lorcan smiles and cheerfully confirms the obvious, "Yep, I figured it's never too soon for Em to learn how to safely bear arms, or, he kneels down and adjusts Eimhin's grip on the pellet gun slightly, to use them. Ruffling Eimhin's hair after his son hits the abdominal area of the target he had been aiming for, Lorcan reminds his son, Remember, adjust your aim based on where your shot landed, verd'ika," and then stands up, taking a few steps backwards to be nearer to Raine.
Crossing his arms over his chest and watching Eimhin continue with his practice for a moment, Lorcan tells Raine, "Your hair looks really nice, ad'ika. He tilts his head to the side and looks more closely at his daughter before adding, Earrings too. Looking past Raine to where Fionnuala is speaking on her comlink, Lorcan asks, Did you and auntie Fee have some good, uh, girl time together?"

*She watched her buir fire off several well placed shots before giving Eimhin some advice. Her buir was right, in a way, that it was never to early to learn how to use a blaster.*
*Raine gave a small smile when her buir complemented her hair, before she leaned up against him.* "Thanks. I like it better now, it's more manageable." *She gave a glance back at Fee when asked about their trip. * "Yeah, we had fun. Seems like you guys had fun also." *Raine looked up at her buir.* "And, yes. I got my ears pierced, and only my ears."

"Good, Lorcan tells Raine with a smile, putting an arm around her shoulders when she leans up against him. I'm glad you had fun. Arching an eyebrow when she says that only her ears were pierced, Lorcan tells her in his best sternly parental tone, It better have only been the ears, ad'ika."
Chuckling and dropping the stern act, Lorcan says, "Come on, I have a surprise for you inside. After telling Eimhin to take a last shot, Lorcan has his son holster the pellet gun along with a firm reminder that he needs to keep it holstered unless they are practicing shooting or cleaning it, Lorcan whistles to get Fionnuala's attention and uses hand signals to let her know to come inside the vheh'yaim when she has finished yammering. Once inside the vheh'yaim, Lorcan has Raine wait in the living room while he gets the surprise he spoke of. Returning to the karyai, or main living area of the vheh'yaim, Lorcan displays the HattMark Derringer he cleaned for her earlier in the day, We'll hold off on the target practice until your arm is more fully healed, he explains while handing the blaster pistol out to Raine, handle first and barrel pointed at the floor, his trigger finger resting outside of the trigger guard with the pistols gas cartridge and power cell in his other hand. Explaining why he had handled the pistol as he had while passing it to her as Raine's first lesson in the safe handling of a blaster pistol, Lorcan then demonstrates how the gas cartridge and power cell are assembled so that the blaster is operational, allowing her to try for herself before removing the power cell and gas cartridge once more and pocketing both for the time being. Now, Lorcan says with a grin, you just need to decide how you want to carry it, ad'ika. Are you feeling more like a shoulder, thigh or hip holster?"

*Raine rolled her eyes in typical teenager fashion, when her buir put on a stern act.* "Yes, it's the only thing I got pierced. I promise."
"A surprise?" *Raine asked as she arched an eyebrow. This definitely made her curious as to what it could be. She followed her buir into the house and waited, almost, patiently in the livingroom. Her eyes widened at the sight of the HattMark derringer that Lorcan brought out. She could barely contain her excitement as she listened to her buirs instructions on how to properly hold the blaster. Carefully, she imitated the way her buir was holding the weapon when he handed it to her. Keeping it pointed at the floor, and her finger away from the trigger, she gave her buir a hug.* "Thank you!" *Raine carefully took the power cell and gas cartridge. She assembled the blaster before handing the cell and cartridge back to Lorcan. She was disappointed that her arm still needed healing, but knew she couldn't rush it.* "Ummm...I think a hip holster would be good. I'm not really sure how well I'd do with the other two."

Returning the hug, Lorcan says, "You're welcome, ad'ika, and then says, Hip holster it is then, motioning for her to follow as he goes to Faelan's combined office, workshop and armory. Rooting around for a few moments until he finds what he is looking for, Lorcan eventually finds a hip holster that will fit Raine, most likely from one of his nephew's when they were younger. As he is showing Raine how to adjust the holster to a comfortable fit, Fionnuala leans in the doorway, watching them with a smile, still finding it odd to see Lorcan in the role of a father. Patting Raine on the shoulder once the holster has been adjusted, Lorcan says, Start wearing the blaster holstered all the time, get used to the feel of it on your hip, and then asks Fionnuala, What was the comm about?"
"Ro and I are being activated. A battalion is being sent to Agamar."
Arching an eyebrow, Lorcan asks, "What for? When do you deploy?"
Shrugging a shoulder, Fionnuala says, "Don't know yet. Operational details are to be revealed at a later point. We leave ASAP."
Nodding, Lorcan grins and says, "Well, since I didn't get the call, I assume I'm still on family leave, so I won't be there to watch your back. Oya!"
"Oya! Fionnuala echoes, and winks as she tells Raine, Make sure he remembers to feed you and your vod, and keep him in line while I'm gone, yeah?"
"Funny, Lorcan says, going over and giving Fionnuala a punch on the shoulder followed by a hug, saying without his usual sarcasm, Ret'urcye mhi."

*Raine fiddled with the holster to make it fit just right, at least until she heard the conversation between her buir and Fee. She looked up from her fidgeting and listened to what the adults said. Fee and Ro were leaving for Agamar and they weren't entirely sure what for, but they had to leave soon. Her stomach tightened some at the thought of them leaving, and she really wasn't sure why. Maybe because her uncle amd cousin were still gone? Or it seemed like the circle of people she knew was being cast across the galaxy every day.*
*She hurried over and joined the hug between her buir and Fee. Raine merely gave a nod at Fee's instructions.* "I'll make sure we don't starve. I'm kinda good at that actually." *She turned her grey eyes up to Fee.* "Be safe, please."

"Of course, Fionnuala says with a smile when Raine tells her to be safe, hugging her tight before stepping back and pointing to Lorcan and telling him sternly, Take good care of them, di'kut."
Waiting until Fee is out of earshot, making her way to her airspeeder, Lorcan says in a high pitched imitation of her voice, "Of course, and then shakes his head and asks Raine indignantly, I mean, I've done pretty good so far, right? Except for your arm, and that time that Em . . . Ok, I've done an okay job anyway, and besides, I'm new to this, so . . . Laughing and waving his concerns aside, Lorcan says, Ah, you're both fine, we'll be fine. Clapping his hands together, he says, Okay then, so I was thinking we'd go through some of the bits and pieces of beskar'gam in ba'vodu Faelan's armory and see if we can't scrounge up enough for some starter sets for you two. Sound fun? Having spotted a few sets of plastoid beskar'gam from Faelan's sons when they were younger, Lorcan believes that there should be enough for Raine and Eim to cobble together almost full sets. With a bit of tinkering and adjusting, they should both have comfortable enough fits that will enable them to begin learning how to care for armor and get accustomed to wearing it. Start thinking about color schemes, Lorcan says as he leads the way to Faelan's armory, and then asks, You guys do know about the meanings of the different colors, right? Or do we need to have a lesson while we have a look around?"

*Raine shook her head and gave a sigh at her buirs imitation of Fee.* "No, you haven't done to bad of a job so far. Besides, almost losing my arm wasn't the first near death experience I've had."
*What her buir said next got both her attention and her excitement. She skipped after him, almost unable to keep her enthusiasm contained.* "Really! I can make my own set?" *She followed Lorcan into the armory and began to look around. There was a lot of different pieces tucked away in storage or hanging from racks. Raine picked up a buy'ce and turned to her buir.* "I know a little about what the colors mean. Maybe...not very well though."

Lorcan grins, pleased to see Raine and Em's enthusiasm for his suggestion, and confirms for Raine, "Yeah, I mean, you know, assuming we can find everything you need in your size. Shrugging a shoulder as he begins searching through a closet for flight suits that will fit his son and daughter well enough until he can purchase properly fitted ones for them, Lorcan says, And, if we can't cobble together a full set from what we find, we can always pay a visit to the smith. Holding up a black flight suit in decent shape that looks as though it will fit Raine, Lorcan sets it aside as he holds out his hand to check out the buy'ce his daughter has picked up, checking out it's systems as he explains, Well, you have some time to think about what colors you want, and you can always change them if your values or personality changes over time too."
Frowning as he notes that the rangefinder on the old buy'ce is damaged, Lorcan sets it on Faelan's workbench and begins looking for a replacement as he continues, "Gray is worn in mourning for a lost love, so, he chuckles, I don't guess either of you will be picking that color for your first set, huh? Red is to honor a parent, so, he grins and makes a frame with his fingers in front of his face, I'd totally understand why you're both probably thinking of what shade of red you want already. Chuckling at his own joke, Lorcan sets a second buy'ce with a working rangefinder beside the first and begins searching for the tools he will need to replace the one on the buy'ce Raine had picked up, Black is for justice, gold for vengeance, green for duty, blue for reliability, and orange for a lust for life. Pursing his lips in thought, he begins working on removing the working rangefinder as he says, Those are the traditional options, but there are some non-traditional color choices that have come to be associated with certain things too. Let's see, there's purple for luck, pink for respecting someone, white for purity, brown for valor, and, uh, maroon for power."

*Raine handed the helmet to her buir before picking up the flight suit. She held it up and gaze it a look over before turning to her buir.* "Finding the right size in here maybe...difficult. I'm small for my age, so I'll have to find a smaller size." *What her buir did find for her seemed about right though. With flight suit in hand, she went into a side room to change into it. She could still hear her buir...even his jokes. As he explained the colors, she began to wonder what color she would chose. She started changing as she called out to her buir.* "Maybe I'll go with orange."
*She came out fully dressed in the flight suit, which fit surprisingly well. Her barefeet padded softly across the floor as she went to stand back beside her buir.* "Well, it fits. So now what?"
