*Telarial was nearly finished cleaning and reassembling her sniper rifle when both Lorcan and Raine returned. With a raised brow, she silently ascertained, based upon their body language, that the news was promising. When Raine handed her the paper, her eyes skimmed over it and she nodded with a faint smile*
"I'm happy for you Raine. Congratulations."
*She turned to look at Lorcan, her cheerful demeanor vanishing. She looked away, still slightly hurt from their explosive fight earlier that evening. Looking at Raine, she gestured towards the kitchen.*
"I baked an Uj cake. Help yourself."
*With a final twist accompanied by a click, the barrel of her rifle was at last reassembled. Her eyes darted from Raine to Lorcan, then back again. Figuring it would be best to give them some time alone, she made a decision. Having already suited up in her beskar'gam, she hefted the rifle up, slinging the strap over her chest and shoulder so that the gun was resting comfortably against her back. With determined strides, she headed for the front door. Her eyes turned cold as her expression hardened, directing the look mainly at Lorcan.*
"I'm going out. Don't wait up for me...and don't tell Faelan."
After pulling on her buy'ce, she partially turned to give them one last glance as she growled out a warning.*
::And If I catch anyone following me...I will shoot to kill::
*Telarial walked out of Faelan's home and began to walk north towards the hunting grounds. Faelan didn't know that she knew about it...Telarial wouldn't have known about it at all herself if she hadn't found a map laying innocently in Faelan's workshop. Ignoring whatever pain or discomfort she might have been feeling, Telarial continued to march on...and she never glanced back.*

*Raine was somewhat surprised at Telarials actions, then her behavior. She gave a low growl of agitated growl, before dropping the paper on the coffee table. Her attention turned back to Lorcan.* "What's with her?"

*Once Telarial was a good distance away from Faelan's home and the bright lights dimmed the further she walked, she activated her HUD within her buy'ce and turned on the night-vision setting. There was a forest nearby and while Telarial's temper was a driving factor that led her out into the wilderness, alone in the middle of the night, she paused when she realized that her grieving heart had been the sole reason why she had left to begin with. Sure, Lorcan was a jerk and brushed her aside, acting as though he wanted nothing to do with her...made her feel like an outcast rather than family.
Her heart ached for her twin brother...why couldn't he have stayed? He was the last living, blood relative she had left. Shaking her head as though to rid herself of unwanted, intrusive thoughts, Telarial continued on until she found a suitable tree in which to climb and make perch. After settling down on a high branch, she pulled her rifle into her hands and waited for her prey.*

*Raine didn't have time to dwell on Telarials sudden mood change. She had to tell Faelan the news, and her little brother. The sound of voices drew her in the direction of Faelans room. She quickly entered the room and hugged Eimhin from behind.* "Guess what! I really am your big vod!"

*Eimhin screamed at the sudden intrusion, his sleep fogged mind unable to process exactly what was really happening when the bigger girl unexpectedly picked him up from behind. Fearing he was being attacked by the monster from his dreams he began crying*
"Ba'vodu!...help! The monster is trying to eat me!!!"

*Raine was startled by Eimhins sudden crying at the thought that he was being attacked by a monster. Diffinitly not the best first impression. She quickly set him down and began to reassure him that she wasn't a monster.* "I'm not a monster Emm. I'm just me, Raine. I won't let any monster hurt you."

*The little boy stopped crying and sniffled. He wiped the tears from his eyes and looked up at Raine from where he sat on the bed. He tilted his head when the words she had previously spoken returned to the forefront of his mind. His confusion was quite evident and his blue eyes sparkled with childish curiosity.*
"What's a sister?"

*Raine gave a smile when Eimhin calmed down and asked what a sister was* "It means we're family, Lorcan is our dad. That makes us siblings. I'm older than you, so that makes me the older sibling, and you my little brother. Since I'm older it means that it's my duty to protect you, even from monsters."

*Eimhin looked from Raine to Faelan then back to Raine. His eyes went wide and just like any young adiik his age, began to babble innocently away.*
"So...ba'vodu Faelan...is your ba'vodu too? He promised to protect me from the monsters too. I had a scary dream that a rancor was trying to eat me!! And then I heard a noise under my bed...I think there is a baby rancor under there."

*Raine nodded her head.* "Elek, Faelan is my ba'vodu also." *She raised an eyebrow at what he said about the rancor.* "Rancors are terrible monsters. I don't think there are any one Mandalore." *Grabbing him by the hand, she started to lead him towards his room.* "Come on. I'll check to see if there's a baby rancor under your bed."

*Tears began to well up in his eyes and he began to protest. He hid behind her and began to shake.*

*Raine stopped pulling when Eimhin protested. She wasn't going to force him to go. Kneeling down beside him, she stared straight into his eyes with absolute confidence.* "If I find one, then it won't know what hit it. If you know what you're doing. Then there is no enemy to big to conquer, no task to hard to solve. Baby rancor or no, I'm going to find out."

*His eyes widened as he grabbed her wrist to prevent her from taking another step and lightly tugged.*
"Wait!! I don't want it to eat you...so...I'll just..."
*He inched his way forward and took a step in front of Raine and puffed his chest out and put on a brave face. As soon as they entered the room and a creaking sound came from the other side of the room he let out a high pitched scream and clung to Raine's leg, refusing to let go.*
"Don't go Raine! You heard it didn't you?!"

*Raine let out a sigh and ruffled Eimhins hair. She thought it was funny how hard he was trying to keep from going to investigate.* "It won't eat me, and yes I did hear that noise, it's probably just the floor boards or the heater. Besides rancors are really big, baby rancors are big. Your bed is small and really close to the ground, so I don't believe a rancor is going to fit under there."

*Eimhin reluctantly released his hold on his elder vod although he held a fistful of her shirt as she led them into Lorcan's room where the little lad had previously been sleeping. He hid behind his sister while she checked under his bed.*

*Raine walked over to the bed with Eimhin in tow. She peeked beneath the bed and scanned around. Sitting back up she turned to Emm.* "See, nothing under there. It was all just from your bad dream."

*The three year old boy twiddled his thumbs nervously and blushed with embarrassment. He murmurs softly to her.*
"Thanks for looking....But I don't want to go back to sleep. I don't want to have another scary dream....And the room is too dark. My mama used to give me a night light. And I always slept with Alastair, my stuffed strill. His name means "defender". Mama said he protects me when I sleep but I lost him after...After....Mama went away."
*Eimhin sniffled sadly and lowered his head.*
"I miss Alastair....But I miss mama more."

*Raine knelt down to be eye level with Eimhin. She wasn't exactly sure how to comfort him on the part about his mother, but she knew how he felt.* "I know what you're going through. My mom is gone also, and I miss her a lot. Bit...we're here now, with family. Our family."
*She placed her hand on his shoulder and tried to put a convincing smile on.* "How about we try and get buir to run us over town. See if we can't get you a new night light and guardian.*"
*standing up, she held out her hand for him to take.* "Now come on. Let's go find our dad. He was in the living room last I knew."
