Yet again the smile dropped as she seemed to accept the bargain proposed by her walking companion. Perhaps someone new, an outsider, would offer her a new perspective and help with the healing and grieving. Her name was Aurora. She was a loyal vassal, a mighty warrior, but most of all, a dear friend. Abi withdrew a handkerchief in anticipation of her own emotional response, though still holding onto composure for now, she continued. My family had been usurped and our lands stolen when I was a child. When I returned to reclaim my birthright and free my people from the oppressors', Aurora answered the call without hesitation. If it weren't for her wisdom and bravery I would have fallen down a dark path. Sniffle. I owe her my life and more than I could have ever repaid. When our order relocated here, we fell out of touch, our duties kept us apart as I oversaw reconstruction of the capital and she took the more martial roles. And recently, she had led an attack against one of our enemies. Ultimately the mission was a success, but it cost us... dearly. She was now making use of the cloth in her hands, dabbing away the tears in the corners of her eyes. To her it all seemed so pointless, but at the same time she understood that dislodging the Dark Jedi Order was a great triumph for the Light. She just couldn't appreciate that right now, and probably wouldn't for some time.

If there was one skill Drauchir was good at, it was walking stoically in silence. A skill he put to use now as he listened to the Countess talk of her friend Aurora as they continued along the path back towards the Hangar. It reminded him a lot of the way he spoke of Runya and Eryneth. While he could not relate to how it must be to be born into a position of status, he could relate to how one loved and cared about another. He could also, to some extent, understand how this Aurora may have felt about the Countess Sacrifice... A feeling I'm rather familiar with. It is not a pain that dulls easily, nor is it one we should allow to consume us. There are few words I could use to help comfort the pain you feel, in part because it is a pain I feel all too well now. He felt that pain of the last few days, or weeks rather, creeping back up upon him The world feels a lot less bright without her, does it not? Everything I knew felt as if it fell into darkness when the lands I knew died. In the end, a Witch named Runya, whom I loved more than anyone or any thing else, sacrificed herself to ensure I escaped alongside Eryneth, the girl whom I now search for. I couldn't help but feel lost and wonder what the point of it all was... In truth, some part of him still wondered that same question. Such a hallowing feeling eliciting a grunt However, I have come to the understanding, even if not fully, that those that we lose... that sacrifice themselves for us, that they believed in us. We now carry the light they once shone upon the world, because they entrusted us with it, to carry it on and do something for the living that they could not themselves do... It could have been just as easy for Eryneth and myself to have just died upon Acron, to have burned with Runya. After all, what point was there to saving two of our people? We could not, ourselves, manage to populate a whole new home. But that was not the goal for which Runya gave her life. It was so that we could fight on and protect others... He did his best to suppress the rising tide of emotions he felt threatening to break the dam. But he managed to hold the line This Aurora... I suspect she made a similar such sacrifice. Gave up her life so that you might carry on with the good you do... Mourn her loss, but remember to also celebrate the life she lived. She rests now with her ancestors and yours and will eagerly await your arrival there when your time comes. All that matters now, is the story you live to tell her...
