So that's how it was. He had to relinquish a small sigh of dissapointment rather than the cry of frustration that sprung in him when the words "not completely successful" hit. He quickly leashed himself. He HAD to get a handle on his emotions.
He listened hard and to every word that Master Dante spoke to him. He was correct. There was a lot of fear in him, and maybe in his own master, as bold a claim as that would be.
Then he related himself to Leomax, and that peeked his interest. Master Dante, who practically bled force, was once like Leomax... that really hot home. Everyone had beginnings. These were his. Soon, in a few years maybe, he would be strong enough to start comparing himself to his Masters. But first, he would have to follow his lessons, and hopefully, the lessons of the Zeison Sha. Telekinetic powers seemed to be most powerful, he had to personally admit.
He nodded to Master Dante. "Yes Master Dante. Thank you for the opportunity and the lesson." He would give the smallest and briefest of smiles, then turn and walk out of the room, taking that as his leave.
Expanding his reach through the force, to 'see', where his Master was. There, he picked her signature up. And towards her he would find his way. It was funny seeing the general layout of a building that was falling apart and completely new to him.

Leo felt it.. comply? or, something. It called all of it's worms back, so, perhaps he had done it? Had he?? He started to smile, proud of himself for pulling something like that off and succeeding! Maybe he had more control than he thought over his powers.
He felt the shield disperse and Master Dante clap. He told everyone that they did well, and to trust in the force, and to keep a look out for any worms. Their first lesson... over! And it was a success! Leo stood up with everyone else, Shafa as well. He could feel Shafa felt dejected a little, a little childishly grumpy. But Leo was too proud to let that weigh him down right now. He had had so many failures in the past that he had to really embrace the good times. Then, he was asked to stay a moment. Instantly a small twinge of fear spiked. Did he not do right after all? Did he-... no. Cool it. He was fine. No fear. Whatever Dante had to say would be for the betterment of all, so no point to be fearful of something good. He took a deep breath and stayed where he was while the rest of the padawans and the two younglings left, the two children keeping their eyes on Leo and Dante until they left the room fully. Nessin gave Leo a small squeeze on the shoulder and Leo could tell she thought he did well too.
Whatever Dante had to say about Leo's performace, he was ready to hear it.

"But," Shafa countered. "What if they are Sith, and have no intentions other than to kill us? What if there is no way to change their minds? No way peace can come?"
Leomax was still a little confused. He had been concentrating for more than Nessin claims he had been. He had examined the whole mind of that thing, picked out emotions and functions then did what was necessary. How had that taken so little time? He just turned his head from Nessin to Master Dante, unsure of what to say or how to proceed. Eventually he spoke up, challenging Leo with a test. "Yes, Master Dante, I have sensed the nest below. But, I... I don't know if I can do something like that... I-" Nessin interrupted him. "You can do it Leo, there's a reason Master Kadea keeps you separate from us whenever she can." He could feel her smile a sad smile, then stop and concentrate on the worm. Shafa was still resigned to have this discussion with Dante right then it seemed...
Nervous and a little afraid of what he may do to the Queen on accident, Leo began to reach out, then stopped himself. No. No fear, he had to remember that. Whenever he feared something while using his force abilities, someone always got hurt. Breathing deeply, he let it go. It was hard, as he didn't want to accidentally anger the Queen further, or maybe even break her mind with a wrong twist. Neither would be good. He had to let it go. If something went wrong, it would be dealt with. It took a bit, but he had a feeling of chains being lifted from him, and then probed down into the ground, deep towards the nest.
Master Dante was right. She was much more active in her brain, a lot more complex thoughts swirling around and changing. Like normal people. Not entirely, but much more than her underlings. Hesitant, he reached out towards her like a hand, and touched her with his mind. She mentally snapped back at him, but he pulled back quickly enough. He let out his breath, then took in another great breath of air. She wasn't going to just let him in. He would have to push his way in. After a moment of preparing himself, he no longer reached out, but enveloped the Queen, and shoved himself into her mind to help read her thoughts. She thrashed, and dejected him, but he kept his hold. It was difficult not to squeeze her harder. He could do it, he really could. But, he wouldn't. Just like with the other one, he almost reached into her brain itself and scooped it out, analyzing the anger and pain and mentality it had.
Leomax took in Master Dante's words he had spoken to Shafa. He didn't need to bend it to his will. Just persuade it. It may not be happy about it, and it may still be angry, but it wouldn't attack anymore. He now had to be gentle. Like a complicated switch that turned and moved just to turn lights on in a room, he started to alter it's mindset. He hoped he was doing this right.

Hello Sorii! I'm Leomax, the only PC padawan at the moment. I also have the same vision for my character as you. Start from nothing, build up from there. I'd love to get some Rping going, so it's not just us four. xD Whever you would like to be found/discovered/stumble into, we'll make it work.

Even if Leo was blind, and literally lacked the organs to detect light and make a picture out of it, he could still see Shafa rolling his eyes as Master Dante scratched the back of his head. Leo subtly chuckled to himself at the two younglings and the the Master's reaction. Children. Sometimes they possessed almost infinite wisdom and imagination. Others, just about none. His attention was immediately peaked when he felt the barrier open, and one of the worms squirming through. No way this would have happened unless the Master let it happen, there was a reason he let it come through.
As the worm breached the surface and into the air, Shafa was ready to spring into action and use the force on it, but a judgement call by Leomax in the form of snatching Shafa's outstretching hand forced him to sit back down. The children squealed in surprise and fell back onto Nessin who wrapped her arms and tail around the two, guarding them and keeping the from falling down at the same time. "Calm down, Master Dante has everything under control, ok?" She would whisper between both of them so they would both hear. Shafa glared at Leo for his interruption, and he could feel it. His response was turning his head and putting a finger to his lips, then turning back to the Master as he began to speak.
Master Dante began speaking of the core lesson. To understand the enemy by thinking like them. What he said before, Empathy. But this lesson was also learning a new force power in the process, while dealing with an actual problem they would have to deal with when renovating this Sanctuary! Brilliant! If Leomax had eyes, they would be sparkling, and Nessin could tell as she glanced over. She would smile to herself, then look back to the Master.
They all did what Dante said, even the younglings (however scared they were to get any closer to one), and concentrating on the worm's mind. Leomax had an easy time doing this, as he was already doing an much lesser kind of thing on the ones surrounding them. But, with the barrier up, he was able to drop his guard and focus completely on this one. He almost adopted it's mindset. Eat, protect the Hive, fight off intruders. He could feel just how it felt. And then, something changed in it's thought process, and he could feel that same bright light that was Master Dante probe the mind. Given what he had just said, it wasn't that much of a leap to tell what he had done.
Now they could try themselves! Nessin was almost as excited as Leomax was about this. Shafa spoke up as another worm was brought up for practice. "I understand the lesson, and like the idea of making the worms think we are friendly to them so that they may become a natural barricade against invaders here, but you expect us to use this on others who wish to kill and harm us? Just use the force to change their mind?"
Leomax and Nessin would ignore Shafa, letting the Master answer that question and focus on the worm. Nessin caught that Leomax was also concentrating, and released her focus. "Go ahead Leo, I'll get the next one." She would smile brightly at him, even though he could not see, she knew he could see it in other ways. Leo would nod a thanks and smile back, then stretch out a hand towards the new worm.
This one felt very similar in thought process and directives. Eat, Protect, and Fight. But the "Protect from" and "Fight against" included the padawans and Masters... With a tweak of the force, he simply included them as friendly people and the Hive to include the walls of this Sanctuary. As he let go, satisfied that he may have done the right thing, he realized he was holding his breath. He let it go slowly, and felt a questioning look from Nessin. "You give up that quickly?" And Leo looked at her with a tilt of his head. "What do you mean?" He would reply, confused. Then it was Nessin's turn to feel confused. "You were concentrating on it for only a moment, your hand was up for the space of one breath."

Shafa crossed his arms and looked slightly away as Master Dante explained the story to the younglings. Nessin just stared onward, completely enthralled by the older Jedi as he told his tale and looked down at the younglings. Leomax kept his composure, his face forward, as he couldn't look or stare anywhere, really. As the story was being told, he kept his awareness below them, to the worms constantly prodding at the barrier and their growing frustration and anger at the creatures near their nest. It was understandable. They just wanted to do their duty, to protect their home and Queen and fellows.
Tamlen spoke up in his young voice when Dante asked how to apply the story to the current situation. "We gotta get these worms a bunch of fruit and put it somewhere else? But aren't we in the desert?" Then Sorocas butted in. "Noooo! We just gotta find them a new home! ...RIght?" The young Cerean looked back at Dante for confirmation.

Leomax smiled as the man introduced himself as Dante Deveaux, Jedi Master. He was also happy that Nessin or any of the young ones were harmed. Leo and Shafa both did as told, and joined everyone in the middle of the room, where a force barrier was created by the Master. Shafa was feeling a little disappointed, and only those who knew him for a long while would be able to tell why. Like Leomax. He was disappointed in himself that he hadn't killed that worm with his blast. With it's wound and this feeling... He was trying to kill the worm. Shafa had always been that student, bordering on slipping to the Dark Side. It was always for good reasons though, like protecting his fellow students from threats, or to accomplish tasks easier. Nothing too serious, and so far had just barely managed to go by without a talking to from Master Amlu and Master Kadea.
Kneeling down with everyone inside the barrier, Leo could feel more below and around them. It was getting a little difficult to tell the exact numbers, or their emotions and intentions. But inside this sphere, they should be alright... Leo got out of his own head and began to listen to Master Dante.
The first students... That was right. They were the first ones! The first generation of future Jedi Knights and possibly Masters from Vandelhelm. That was something to be excited about. When Master Dante asked them to introduce themselves, Nessin was the first to speak up. "I am Nessin Dreemut, a Falleen. I am 15 years old, Master Dante." She couldn't stop the smile and shine in her eyes when introducing herself to the new and interesting Jedi Master. "And these are Tamlen and Sorocas." She would pipe back in, eager to speak more and introduce the Rodian and Cerean respectively. "I'm Shafa Windfile, 16 years old and a Mirialan." He stated. Leo was the last one up, and so he straightened his back and spoke, "My name is Leomax Dustrig, 15 years of age and a Miraluka, Master Dante." He would bow a little from his cross-legged position.

Leo felt another presence come in the room, outrageously strong in the Light. The same he had felt before, the same that had entered the ship and kept him distracted from fixing his saber. Right! His saber... His hand felt the pieces through the fabric of the pouch at his side. It was embarrassing that he hadn't been able to put it back together the whole trip here. "W-who are you?" Shafa stepped forward towards the man as the two younglings hurriedly gathered directly behind Leo and Nessin, but Leo put up an arm and blocked his way, his head tilted slightly downward, then up towards where the man's face would be, "Don't worry Shafa, he's alright. He's who we picked up, the one who owns this place." There wasn't a questioning tone, or a doubt in his speech as the sightless boy looked up at the older man. Leomax was sure, he could feel it.
Once again, he was distracted by his own thoughts, keeping him from viewing what was around him, and he didn't even see the creature come through the hole in the wall. The screech that it let out snapped him back and into reality. He turned around quickly, the younglings crying out in sudden fear and running around Leo and Nessin towards the unknown man. Sand worms, the man explained. They made their nest here? Carnivores? This sounded like a bad situation to be in, but the man remained calm and collected. In fact, he even directed everyone to move to the middle of the room and watch out for the worms. Were they not that dangerous? Or were they, and worthy of their first lesson?
Nessin almost jumped up and down with excitement, hearing of their first class being in session. She hurried to the training floor, hopping on her feet like the floor was hot or something, which Leo was sure wasn't. Shafa was the last to move into the middle, still not trusting of the older unknown man and letting the younglings go first. They were scared, not taking their eyes from the ground in case something came up. "Oh, don't be scared guys, don't worry. We got Leo and Shafa to protect you from the squirmy baddies!" [/font]Nessin spoke up towards the younglings, who almost immediately brightened up and ran over to the female Falleen. She was always good with them, or any child for that matter.
Leo was just glad that he said to keep sabers as a last resort, because he obviously didn't have his ready. Hopefully his force powers would be fine. Could he control them though? He felt multiple lifeforms scurrying underground, and 'saw' one coming up next to Nessin as she gathered the two younglings. "Careful! On your left!" He called out, but Shafa already raised his hand as the worm popped it's head out. With a force push, the worm was knocked back and out of it's hole, a visible tear in it's side from the sudden wrenching it had endured. It fell about five feet away and it withered on the sandy ground in pain and panic before digging into the ground and dissipating once more.

Everything about this place was devoid, and crawling with life at the same time. He could feel that the place was once clean and structured and built. But since then it had fallen into disrepair. From the sounds coming from their feet and everyone's reactions, looking around and following along. The small gasps and mutterings between themselves described the place in greater detail for Leo. Sand and debris covered most of the ground, while still having the majority of the structure remain. It was a change from the Gardens on Yavin, but with a bit of work, it could probably be even better. And more in lines of their philosophy concerning the Light Side and Jedi's in general. The Jedi's they wanted to be.
Even though nobody remained here, and hadn't been for sometime, other things of life had taken over. Critters of all sorts. They weren't present, but Leomax could feel them around. Strange lifeforms he hadn't encountered previously. Eventually he came to an intact doorway, although ajar. Leo and the group entered in, exploring out of curiosity.
"Looks like a... a Training Room?" Leo heard come from Nessin. And indeed, after her insight, he saw it was indeed a training room. It was a round empty room, two chairs for mentors or other individuals stationed at corners in this circular area. There were four Cylindrical metal pillars sitting around, one tipped over, all for the purposes of telekinetic practice. One wall had broken down a little, letting sand and rock pour in.

Leomax was tasked with gathering the younglings and other padawans to disembark into their new home. With his awareness being in a sphere almost, rather than a cone of sight, it was pretty easy to track everyone down. Nessin Dreemut, the female Falleen padawan, was taking a nap in her room to pass the time as they traveled. She seemed happy to that Leo was there and that their trip was over. Along with the other padawan besides Leomax, there was Shafa, the male Mirialan padawan who was eager to prove himself. The younglings were also ushered out of the ship, a Male Rodian and a male Cerean. They trotted along and followed Leo like good little troopers.
The hanger was a normal size, as much as Leo could tell through the force. All the Knights and his Master were already out, talking among themselves. He was told not to eavesdrop, as it was very easy for him to do, but he did sometimes anyway. When he caught Rav speaking about how strange this planet was. Leo had to agree, but past that it felt odd... He chalked it up to him not being experienced enough, and it would be better to leave it to his peers.
He walked with everyone inside, letting the adults talk among themselves, beginning his search for the quarters and get everyone assigned.

Leomax sat on his bed, his saber almost completely restructured. There was just the outer shell to piece back together. This was where it got tricky. He almost always rushed this part, wanting it to be over with and succeed. He had to keep breathing deeply, no, steady... steady and slow, but still deep... One more piece clicked into place, and he let out his pent up air through his nose. More even breathing, what was he doing?!
Then.. He felt someone. Some strong in the force almost instantly come into his sphere. His head jerked up, and his concentration broke. His saber fluttered and shook before flying across the room in pieces. He shouted a little. Partly in surprise, mostly in anger at himself. What was that presence he just felt? Was that the reason they came here?
He got up from his bed, and crawled around on all fours, picking up all of the pieces and setting them on the bed. He growled in anger at himself. He shouldn't have let something like that do that to him...

//On Yavin's Surface\\ "I-I'm sorry, Mast Almu. And, yes Master Kadea. I'll remember that." He bowed slightly to each of them. If he had eyes, they would be turned away in embarrassment and a tad bit of shame. He went on with his assigned duties, telling everyone else to pack up, that they were moving out.
//In Vandelhelms Orbit\\ Leo sat in his room, meditating, as they slowly made their way through the asteroids. He was expanding his 'vision', in a sense. He could almost feel the asteroids and their proximity to the ship they were in. It was terrifying, knowing all those rocks out there could tear right into the ship if they weren't careful enough. And worst of all, Leo couldn't do anything but tense up as they closed in on mile-wide boulders after boulders, hoping the captain was capable enough to navigate them through.
Eventually, He did feel the last of the asteroids fall away from them as they neared to the planet's atmosphere. He let go of his meditation, letting his senses come back to his surroundings. They had did it. They made it through. His head moved down to his lightsaber, laying on his bed in pieces. He had taken it apart with the force. Now to put it back together. He had done it several times, but it was always good practice. Practice practice practice...
Leo took a deep breath and began meditating once more, the pieces of his saber floating up peacefully.

Kadea.. Kadea.. Where did she go? He jogged through the gardens, searching for his Master. It wasn't long until he picked up her signature, his abilities as a Miraluka transcending normal sight. He held his datapad in one hand and his saber hung on his belt as he quickly adjusted his path towards Kadea.
He caught up to her and Amlu Eerkerk speaking of Vandelhelm, and it being apparently protected by an asteroid field. "I'm sorry for being late Kadea..." his breathing was just the least bit labored as his heart had to slow down. "What is this talk about Vandelhelm and how protected it is? Are we unsafe here?"
