This changes things then... Kent said to her self. She began going over all the details of this place in her head. It was clear Na'an and Leigh knew this girl, and the were not friendly. She noted Na'an reaching for the cylindrical bulge in her back pocket, her lightsaber. She also noted that Leigh's face was gone. The power it took to run it being switched to more tactical needs. This wasn't her fight, and if the night so far told her anything, it was that something that would cause her new friends this much worry may be out of her league. But that didn't mean she shouldn't find a way to help. She thought about earlier when Gavin had gotten into her mind, If she was force sensitive maybe she could pass what she was seeing to Na'an. She focused really hard on Na'an and began to think. You have a thick wroshyr tree table 5 feet to your left. If you need cover it will hold up. The is a light panel 2 feet in front of your target, overloading it should cause her visor to darken very quickly or temporarily blinding her if it doesn't have an auto darken, either way she won't be able to see well. The stools are sturdy but light, not much use as weapons, but valuable distractions. Non else seems to be interested in joining the fight, content to just watch.

That is not what I was trying to do! Kent shows true offense to that statement! Had she manipulated people before? Yes, but in this case she was kind of afraid to do it. The Force was in play now, and that was one thing know one, not even Kent, could predict with any accuracy. She knew this and was ready to admit it. She begins to replay everything she had said. And it did seem like she was pushing for Na'an to train her. Kent had never thought that out, never made that choice. She just kind of spoke... I see how that could come out that way. But I promise that was not my intention. I was only trying to state the truth about my self. This has to be a record for her. She had never been caught off guard this many times, among the same people, in one night. She cant help but blush a little. I am sorry.
Kent notices the new comer. She froze. Not because she new the girl, but she knew her face. The visor made them nearly identical. She speaks now in a softer voice, not wanting to be overheard. Liegh? That's your name right? I don't mean to change the subject, but there is a girl that just came in with your face. I don't mean kinda looks like you, or there is resemblance. I mean she has your face!

Kent's gaze locks on Gavin. She begins to fiddle with her blaster on her hip. There was no overt threat, but her read on him still rang true. Amplified even, with her realization that she was Force sensitive. Logically nothing he had done made any sense as a "protectorate" and knowing that the Force was also pulling her not to trust him.
She says in a low voice so only those at her table can hear. He is in my head, or did you hear it too Eyes still drilling into Gavin.

Yeah... That's the other thing. I am not exactly great with authority... Authorities in my life have always wanted something from me. To use me for their own ends... The ghosts of her past fill her eyes. Her eyes and attitude in the Force end debate. She would never go to an official school. But there is also a clear desire to learn.
I do want to know though. Who i am capable of being...
You have made it clear to me, my head isn't enough. You did enough to show me that. Against you, I couldn't get everything I get from most people, same with him. She indicts Cao But you must understand, I would never work at an academy.

There is something you dont know about me. I dont do class rooms, i dont do large groups. I... I kinda missed the opportunity for traditional school. I have been on my own for most of my life, and before that i was a pirate's slave.
I know most things, thats not me bragging, its just a fact. But one thing i dont know is how to be student sister.
It didnt seem like much, but Kent had just really opened up to Na'an. KEnt couldn't say why, but she knew she could trust this one eyes woman. She opened up more that she had... well to anyone. Ever.

Kent starts thinking about her past. Every moment. She realized it was true. Thinking about it, it fit. She was Force sensitive. And in that moment her life changed. The look of shock and realization evident on her face. Emperor's Black Bones... This fits. Woha...
For the first time in a long time, Kent was truly left speechless. She hasn't been in shock like this for almost a decade.

Kent bursts out laughing.
A force school! HAHAHA, yeah I am not really, into a group structure sister. And i am still not really convinced about this me being one of you Forcies.
Oh and the sexual tension was just a guess... Looks like I hit the nail on the head though.

Kent sized him up. You would like it if I "did" she added a little sensuality on the did you. But even on Nar Shaddaa you would get in trouble for that. She smiles as she gets ready to read him
Born on Dantooine, northern province. The accent gives that away. Heterochromia iridium, rare in humans. She looks closer Genetic, not caused by trauma due to a uniformity of the eye tissue around it. That was a tough call with the scar, but the cut doesn't seem to go to the eye. The scar. Received in battle, obviously, but not a conventional weapon. No signs of burn repair, not a lightsaber. Not enough trauma for even a glancing blow with a vibro weapon, and even more unlikely given the light weapons on your hip... At the same time it is almost jagged, so not a regular thrown blade... She goes through all of the thrown bladed weapons she had read of. None seemed to fit, until. Razor bug! Only a living thing could give those vibrations.
Your hands... one shows more , wear, then the other... And nails... Your left hand is artificial.
You know her. Points to Na'an. And her. Points to Liegh, and turns to her for a moment. Yes, I notice actual personality in you. A true AI, interesting, but yes i called you her. Turns back to Cao You know them. Well it seams. You used to be very friendly, but something happened. Now there is a good deal of hurt, but still an element of trust.
She knew there was more but she couldn't get it. It was just not on display. He was either good at hiding it, or it was berried deep. She searched and searched for more but couldn't find it. She couldn't end on that. Then she came up with an idea, this part my be true or may not be, but it should get a rise out of one if not both of them.
I am interested in the story of the sexual tension between you two? Or is it you three?
True or not it should cause a reaction she could read into, for all of them.

Kent nervously acknowledges Gavin. I told you, I am breaking my norm here. She starts to get angry. I am not using that portion of my head, nothing I am doing now makes sense. You want a show then! She looks around the small dimly lit place for a second.
Fine! See that Togruta there? He is left handed, and is carrying a DL-44 under his tunic. The Twi'lek to my right? This is her first night cheating on her husband. He is a a gambler that has lost to many times. The human she is talking too? Looks like a hot shot smuggler and pilot, he has never left Nar Shadaa.
She pauses to let her statements sink in.
The Togruta. It would be easy to guess his handedness if he had a drink, but he hasn't ordered one yet. How could I know? His left shoe is scuffed at the heal more than his right, indicating his dominate foot is left, most beings the dominate side is the same for feet as it is hands. The blaster? The tunic is very lose to the point it would bunch and cause chafing, indicating something hidden. Something big and powerful, but he isn't that big of a being some nothing over the top. The dark brown color would hide if the handle came out a little, And finally there is a rounded fold that doesn't move or change shape where the scope has been wrapped up.
The Twi'lek. She keeps rubbing her finger where there is a slight discoloration the entire way around, there is something that is normally there but isn't now. She has expensive ear rings, a gift from her husband after a big win. But her cloths are cheap indicating times are tough right now. Her giggle when the man flirts is genuine, she is interested. But she keeps looking at the door wondering if someone will come in.
The man flirting with her. He looks the part. Slick back hair, the jacket, tools in the sleeve pocket, combat pants, and shinny boots. Let's go backwards this time. The boots have a perfect shine not scuffs, no stains things that happen on a star ship. So they are new you may say, not they are creased prenatally at the toes, so they are well worn. The pants, well folded and creased, you can see where the metal hanger rubs right above his knee. Hangers are not a space efficient storage option one would need on a freighter. The jacket... Ok that I will give him looks good, but the tools in is pocket sparkle. Not blemish or scratch, they have never touched a bulkhead, yet he moves as if he knows their weight by instinct so not one falls out. And finally his hair. Long and slick. Spacers are likely to have a helmet or a headset to communicate. No indentations at his temples and the long part in the back doesn't flip up as it would if under a headset most of the time. So yes he is lying.
Should I go on or do you get the point.
She looks at Na'an like she is annoyed, still angry.

I must be feeling though blows to the head! I swear i can hear voices that sound like you She points at Cao. in my head. One Bright like another dark... Wow. She shakes her head to clear it before responding to them.
This was the first time I couldn't think my way out of trouble. I have been through things, believe me, here. Dealt with Huts, gangsters, swoop leaders, junkies, pushers, pimps, i have seen it and beat it all. Until now i had no need to think i couldn't handle a situation. I have been lucky. I am generally lucky yes, but i don't rely on it. I out think people. I remember everything I see, and I can notice the changes. She got quite, as she added everything that had happened tonight. She should be dead, logically she should be. One of, even most of, the people she had encountered tonight could have ended her, and there was nothing her mind could do about it. It was only through help or through luck that she was saved. She thought of the times she was lucky, the trash, and the facade falling. She had wanted those things to happen didn't she? At the time she either needed it or was so terrified and wanted everything close. She thought back to other times when the same thing happened. The was one solution that fit. These people were right, she was Force sensitive. She was more than just a mind. In awe of this realization she takes the shot. Gags that it is nasty and spits it out. That is awful! How do you drink that stuff!

I...I... I don't know why I came. This makes no sense. I don't know you, I know nothing about you, I don't know what you plan. Being here does not make any sense. I should have gone to another one of my places. But i feel like i should be here, like you have answers, like I belong here. I have never done this before, I only do things that make sense, things I can explain. Yet I am here... She takes a deep breath. What happened? There was to much going on there. None of it made any sense.

Kent made a b-line for the table and sat without a word. What could she say? That she just felt that she was supposed to be with them? That though it made no sense this was what she knew she had to do? This was a very different place and state of mind for Kent. She was always so sure of things, now it was just different. In the first time in a long time she didnt scan the room. She had no idea who else was here, all her attention was on her companions.

Kent followed at a distance always out of site. She watches as they go into the bar. It was a hidden gem of a place nestled between two massive casinos. This was the Corellian Sector, with all of its glitz and glamor. Each casino had a breathtaking light display or fountain. One building had a laser show timed to music that played on a loop. Each place did its best to outdo one another. Kent had made a lot of what little money she had counting cards at some of the smaller venues where security was a little lacking, normally she made it out before she was caught. Normally. Kent rubs a formally broken rib that didn't quite heal correctly. As she remembers that encounter. That was the night she met the waitress from Palecki's.
That was the part that people tended to forget about the Corellian Sector. All the lights, all the fountains, exotic food, luxury, and glamor of this place was at its very core a cover up. It covered up the undercurrent of slime that filled this part of the smugglers moon. The Hutts still controlled this area with an iron fist, and they cared about making money however they could. When one was observant you could see past the glamorous facade and into the dark underbelly of the area. You could see the man that just lost his ship get tossed out the back with a broken arm because he couldn't pay his debts. The poor workers that can barely afford food for there families after a long day of cleaning rooms. That was the real Corellian Sector. Palecki's somehow stood in contrast to this. It was a true bright spot. Funny it was almost the opposite of the rest of the Sector. Everyplace else used bright lights and flash to cover up the darkness that lay just under the surface. The bar had a simple sign, and the interior was kept dim, lit by candles. Darkness that hid something almost bright. Kent was tempted to use the word classy.
She quickly looked around to be sure that know one was followed. When she was sure she dropped down and walked toward Na'an, Leigh, and Cao. She didn't say anything she didn't really feel like she needed too.

Kent continues to follow, out of site. Not even really hiding from Na'an, the droid, and Cao. But this was where the pirate had been last. This was where she actually had felt vulnerable, for the first time in a long time. She got a little closer to the group in hiding then she had been holding. It was worth the risk of being seen.

Kent didn't know why, but she trusted Na'an. What was going on with her! There was no logical reason to trust this woman, they had just met. Her super brain was all but screaming this to her instincts but the feeling wouldn't go away. Kent was supposed to trust her. She made a deal with herself, she new the city better than anyone, she could follow Na'an there without being seen. Keeping to the roofs and hiding spots she began following Na'an, never more that 20 feet away. Her skills, agility, and knowledge of the area would insure that she not be seen. She noticed a man from earlier begin talking with Na'an. It was clear they knew each other, and if nothing else there was a trust between them. She listened and observed.

Paleki's, Kent knew the place. Kinda a dive, but nice enough. One of the cooks had given her food before. She felt like she should follow. It wasn't like she had anything left here. Kent made her was out of the sector. Quickly she scurries off.

Well i don't exactly have a home anymore she looked over at the now facadeless building that was once her home. And no they are long gone... This was silly wasn't it? Following the rules of people that had been dead for way past the majority of her life. Was she really this sentimental? This wasnt logical. But she still had to obey them didn't she? It's um... complicated

I am just 15 i am not supposed... This was a rule she held onto, and she never really understood why. Its was one of her memories of her parents. Telling, well she guesses it was her brother at 20 was too young to drink. All this time on her own she had never broken it. It seemed like nature to her. I... i... just can't.

As he vanishes Kent begins to come too.
You... you... you are letting him go! He will trap me again! I... I'm sorry. I am Kent, Kent Austin...
She nervously looks around waiting for the trap. But some how it looks like nothing is coming. She starts to get confused.
This... This doesn't make sense!

It can't be that easy. No one would go through all that trouble and walk away. It made no sense to Kent's mind. It didn't make sense. It had to be a trick, a trap to lull her and this new person into thinking it safe and then he would go after them both.
Kent began to struggle to free her blaster hand.
Its a trick! Its a trap! It has to be! GET HIM!
