==Bloodline SL== <<85 PP, Requiem Sector>>
The dome did in fact have spaces open, one of the benefits of having such a large number of different bio domes to choose from was that people tended to want to try out as many as possible, the large size of them also helped to keep it feeling from a tourist trap, even when at full capacity. There were also specific domes set aside for hunts of various difficulty, kept stocked with heavy help from cloning centers attached to them.
Within an hour or so of reaching the dome, which was itself not to far from where they set down, the trio was entering the vaguely fungal forests of Ithor. Or as close as was possible to get in a carefully tended parkland version of it. Unlike the untapped wilds of the actual Ithor, this version had walking trails, small secluded wading pools, & any number of other comfortable features that one wouldn't ever actually find in nature.
Aya wasn't sure about the other two, but she found it very peaceful. Kaddak, despite his placid features for the outing, would have been much more comfortable in a nice sterile lab, though he didn't put the effort into fussing about dirt or other such natural features. He didn't particularly enjoy it, but it didn't bother him either. As usual, the crystal groves they came near fell silence if they came too close, though they continued to sing softly in the breeze & dripping water from the upper canopy level.

Aya nods. The news was not completely unexpected, but the reports (if any had been made in the first place) hadn't reached her yet.
-Aya That is good news, the extra supplies will go a long way toward keeping things flowing. & any worlds already ready to stand in defense of themselves & others is an even greater help. How does your own clan stand on that front? Did you have a report on the condition of Ordo yet? Or is it still ongoing?

One thing she had kept the same in the office was the lack of chairs. True, there was a cot in the corner, sheets still rumpled. But she was standing by the table piled with reports the same as any of her guests would be. There wasn't room for more than one chair, & taking the only seat in the room was not a message that Aya wanted to send.
-Aya 'lek. Gar balyc. The spaceyards here are ready for a trial run of capital ships. Likely nothing over a thousand meters to begin with. & the resources will have to be relocated from my clan's supply lines until a more local supplier can be found. We would only need to know what type of ships that Concord Dawn feels best.
She pauses a long moment.
-Aya Along with the possibly more pertinent question of if we should try to standardize the hulls we stock our defenses with. Ord'inii has many older designs taken from sources across the galaxy & we can produce our own versions of those ships with modern fittings. But that might not be the best choice in the long run.

==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<108PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>>
Aya was in the office. For the last year or so since she had claimed the title, she had more or less lived in it. Only periodic trips out to Lehon to sort out major issues had allowed her a break. It was fortunate the Imperium was set up & designed to more or less run on its own, without high level input for long periods. It wasn't as efficient as when she had the time to micromanage it, but it survived well enough. A few rounds of promotions had actually been caused by her extended absence, as certain people proved to work even better when given more latitude.
The Assembly was fair from in the same shape. She had though that raw power, both personal & organizational, she brought to the task would be enough to quickly clear out the back log of issues that had been more or less ignored by her predecessors. She had been wrong. Sure, the oldest stuff in the pile had long since settled itself. The newer things in the pile however, had been a mess of judgement requests, feuds, logistic gordian knots & similar issues. Most of her time was spend simply trying to keep it from getting any worse.
On top of that, despite the heavy support for her plan to drag the other clans up in technological & economic prowess to her own, only three clans had actually taken the offered aids. & those three all limited how much aid that would take. Awaud had accepted aid disguised as a mission, but had instead of actually completing it, had instead used it to fort up on a world of their own. Of course, they were doing well on their own there, so it worked out. Itera had accepted a large foundry ship tooled for novacrystal working. But had refused the technical support & was making slow progress in adapting it to their own methods. The last was Bralor, who had actually followed through with what they had been tasked to do. Though at a far slower pace than Aya would have liked.
As if summoned by that thought, there was a knock at her office door. She was well informed enough to know who was on the other side already, but as he had sat down to eat on entering the tavern, she had assumed he was here on other business.
-Aya Come in, Master Torin. The door is not locked.

==The Great Hunt== <<107 PP; S12 Sector, Nal Hutta, Azure Palace>>
The Hutts hadn't been the only ones looking to improve relations. With the fall of the latest version of the Republic to First Order forces, the Mandalorian Assembly had been more heavily pressed for both resources & manpower. Relations between the Hutt cartels & The Imperium had improved some what since the Imperium's withdraw from their northern territories. The additional space had done much to cool the long running feud. There were still heavy ideological issues to deal with, but in the face of a greater threat, they could & would be ignored.
That being the case, Aya had made the special effort of being physically present for the event. Instead of the usual reliance on proxies of one type or another. Security arrangements had been handled to both major parties' satisfaction, if not to that of their personal guards. In the end, the entire event was very well secured, though neither side really fully trusted the other.

==Bloodline SL== <<108 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon, Middle Beach>>
This event had been a long time coming, if one that had been only whispered about in many circles. An Imperial Broadcast was a fairly rare event in the day to day lives of the majority of the Citizens of the Imperium. There were the customary little displays of pomp & power one expected from a royal family. Things like yearly troop inspections that were more for showing off in a fancy parade, or tours or anniversaries for this event or that. Those happened fairly regularly & routinely. An Imperial Broadcast was a different matter. It was more or less a royal announcement important enough that the entire Imperium should be aware of it. Usually, they were fairly short notice. Maybe a few days at most. This one had been announced nearly two weeks before it was supposed to begin. It streamed out across the entire Imperium holonet, tapping into every HUD, holoprojector, & display screen in the entire Imperium.
The Imperial Throne was not commonly used. It wasn't a fancy or ornate object, just a hard block of stone that had been roughly hammered into the shape of a chair. There were not gold or jewels in it. It wasn't made of some rare stone. It wasn't even pretty or well made. It did, however, look distinctly uncomfortable to sit in. & sitting in it was Imperator Aya Dizen Or'dinii. Several steps to the left & a few behind stood the Imperator's personal knight. The holocams also periodically panned across impressive ranks of the movers & shakers of the Imperium. A studied glance would pick out the other members of the royal family in attendance, The young Zaryna by her mother, The ancient NonCom, & the mysterious Kaddak. And in front of the throne knelt three figures. All three wore ceremonial armor, clearly allowing their features to be seen.
The first was obviously Zabrak. His dark, nearly-ochre skin tone & wide spread of untrimmed horns making that unmistakable. It was hard to tell while kneeling but he gave the impression of being built like a stump. Short & stocky, but solid enough to bench press a speeder bike.
The second was a Rakata. Her scales shimmered a red nearly deep enough to be mistaken for black, if the heavy lights pouring over all three didn't show off the bloody highlights in them. Unlike the first, she was tall & willowy. Even kneeling, she towered over the other two. Though she almost looked like the slightest breeze would carry her away, despite the armor.
The last was a Selkath. Like the Rakata beside him, his scales were also nearly black, but his contained a more bluish tint. He was neither as powerfully built as the first, or as tall as the second. But he had the strong, compact lines of one that was stronger than he looked & would never stop. Ever.
The one feature all three had in perfect unison was eyes the color of molten gold. All three gazed up at the Imperator with calm, steady expressions. Without preamble, the Imperator began to speak.
-Aya Dizen Or'dinii (in Mando'a) I present my child, Aquila Dizen Or'dinii.
The Zabrak rose, bowed toward the throne & turn to face outward.
-Aya Dizen Or'dinii (in Mando'a) I present my child, Orania Dizen Or'dinii.
With that the Rakata rose to her feet, bowed to Aya & turned to face the same direction as her brother.
-Aya Dizen Or'dinii (in Mando'a) I present my child, Gaius Dizen Or'dinii.
Like his other two siblings before him, the Selkath rose to his feet before bowing & turning.
-Aya Dizen Or'dinii (in Mando'a) As of today, these three have passed the final rights & are full members of the Royal Family. The Galactic Alliance has fallen! A quarreling mass of degenerate fame chasers that sought only to further their own power at the expense of those they were sworn to protect. A dithering herd of deluded fools & thieves. Their defenses crumbled in the face of an overwhelming force. The Jedi order has been smashed. Esoteric fools meddling both with powers beyond their understanding & in any hall of power they could worm their sorcerous ways into. These acts were no font of mercy, however. No benevolent force removing the taint of corruption.
NO! It was yet another cancer. A bloody battleground of diseased ideologies. The First Order is no paragon of purity. They are a festering well of pro-human dominance. Looking down at, enslaving & murdering all those they find guilty of the sin of not being human. Even for the humans, it is flawed. An oppressive system that leaves no room for free will or contrary thoughts. Their only goal is complete domination of all humans & the eradication of all else.
The Blackguard may be our genetic cousins, but make no mistake. They meddle in powers best ignored. In lost arts best left locked away. Corrupting power that fills their veins with dark pollution until their very skin rebels against them. They are no better than the Jedi they have all but destroyed. In many ways they are worse. The jedi speak soft words & gentle nudges to worm their way into grace. The Blackguard have no such grace. They are brute beasts only fit for force & bluntness.
The Imperium grows! With every day. With every breath. With every drop of sweat & blood shed in the name of the mandokarla. We ENDURE! They can not crush us the like the jedi. We hide in no ancient halls! The stars alone form the vaults of our halls. They can not sweep us aside like the stagnate Alliance. We move with the grace of a breeze & strike with the force of a typhoon. We are Mandalorian. & we can not die.
With that the Imperator rose from her throne & raised her arm in salute. A moment later, the other four figures around the throne also saluted.
-Aya Dizen Or'dinii (in Mando'a) ALL HAIL THE IMPERIUM!
On the stage & across the Imperium the rallying cry was repeated. Despite her features showing nothing but strength & determination, Aya's thoughts had a much different tone. Without the Alliance there to take the majority of the heat, the Imperium would now be left staring down the First Order. This was not a position the Imperium was ready to take. They weren't equipped for it. Even with the surprisingly advanced Rakatan tech the Imperium had managed to reverse engineer. Even with the opening of Requiem. Even with the vast number of citizens more or less mass produced by the creche worlds. They simply didn't have enough people to face off against the First Order alone. With the fall of the Alliance & the Jedi Order with it, the Imperium was alone in a galaxy of enemies.

-Aya The crystal groves is a personal favorite of mine. The wind is modulated just right so that the leaves sing in the breeze & rain.
Of course the Bafforr trees were perfectly capable of singing without the breeze as well. It only took seven of the trees to be fully aware. The Ithor dome had dozens of groves, each of which had at least ten trees. These, of course, were exempt from the harvest laws that kept the bio domes carefully regulated, as they were capable of keeping themselves in check. Instead, the rare crystal wood that was harvested was from specially planted trees that were kept isolated from others of their kind until they were ready for harvest. Once, Aya had even had a full conversation with one or another of the groves. For some reason, however, the groves mostly kept quiet around the mandalorians that visited them.

Aya had been unusually occupied with sorting through & coordinating the task of uncluttering the traditional working office of the Mand'alor. It had been something that had taxed even her impressive systems. Some of the documents were literally hundreds of years old & better placed in museums & private collections than in a working office. She currently had several offices worth of workers spread across the galaxy remotely compiling & sorting the uploaded work. While it would be a while yet before everything had been properly dealt with, at least now they office didn't have any piles of old work to deal with.

Aya put a hand to her chest, obviously faking disbelief & hurt. It was a move that she did use often due to the drama queen overtones, but here she was at least free from prying eyes enough that she could relax more.
-Aya Dearest brother, you wound me.
She was actually looking forward to spending some time that wasn't being covered by a ticking clock before getting back to solid work however. From the reports she had seen the planet's natural life had been mostly molds & lower form insect life when it had first been found. This deep into the core, the natural radiation had prevented the development of more advanced forms. Of course, since then the clan had installed planetary shields to cut down on the background radiation & built a huge number of massive bio domes that had been stocked with a wide array of planetary ecosystems. From the reports, though she had not had a chance to confirm it personally, each of the forty worlds had hundreds domes with not only a full contained biosystem, but databank records for all life on that world. Each one was tens of millions of acres in size. In many places, you could see several such domes rising from the horizons. This would allow the clan to more or less recreate lost worlds should something like Alderaan happen again. Of course, they also made wonderful natural parks. Most of the planet based population complexes & industrial zones also tended to cluster near the domes.
-Aya Actually, I was hoping to spend some time in the Ithor dome if possible. I don't want to boot anyone out if it is full though.
-Kaddak I can certainly check for us.
One of the smarter policies that Kaddak had put in place during his rule of Requiem was that each dome (depending on both the size & the particulars of the ecosystem in question) had a rather low maximum number of people that could be inside the dome at any give time. Not counting the extensive drone networks inside each dome that was required to keep such a limited ecology balanced.

-Kaddak I'm sure that won't be a problem, we have a lot of work ahead of us together. At least if I guess our sister's intentions correctly.
One of the bodies glanced over at Aya, though the other kept his gaze fixed on the gungan. It was because of that split attention that he caught Non's glance upward.
-Kaddak It is beautiful, isn't it? A fair bit of it is from the orbital mirrors that heat up the planet, but a lot of it is the actual sky. All the worlds of Requiem have it to some degree or another.
Aya nods in reply to her brother's guess. Her helmet was also removed, folded down & clipped to her own belt. It was rare that she got to walk around bare headed. Something she would have to see about changing sooner or later. It would certainly make her more approachable to those outside the clans.
-Aya I figured on a little pleasure before duty, but if the two of your would rather do without the suspense?

==Bloodline SL== <<85 PP, Requiem Sector>>
Aya takes the offered arm, usually she was required to take a more formal bearing, but for this particular trip, it was literally only the two of them on the entire ship. Of course, they had shared the trip with a range of cargo & other material being shipped, but that was all stowed away in the cargo holds & well away from the areas the two of them had been locked inside. Once outside the ship & into the beaming sunshine of the fresh world, Aya smiled. It was not often that she had the chance to visit. Even then she had only set foot on two of the forty worlds of Requiem.
It was a peculiar feel. The worlds had a veil of lights spread across the sky, visible both day & night. The veil shimmered with a host of colors that nearly drown out the dim sun of this world in the sky. If it wasn't for the orbital arrays focusing light onto the world, it would have been much to cold for easy comfort. As it was, the world was well suited to more common Genies & the ever growing population of Rakata.
Waiting at the bottom of the ramp were a pair of faces that were both very familiar & strangely odd. Aya had met the being on both previous visits, & had built a fair rapport with him, though this would be the first time that Non met the oldest of their siblings. At first glance, they were twins, but the longer that a person looked at them, the more it become obvious that both faces mirrored each other far to quickly. In fact, it was as if one expression was spread across two faces. Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Aya bowed at the hips. It was a formal move, only a formal greeting of her father dipped deeper. It would likely be a surprise to her other brother, had he had been purposefully kept in the dark about pretty much the entire trip.
The 'twins' faces were obviously cut from the same cloth as the Admiral. He was much smaller build, much slimmer. They did, however have the same cut jaws & the same golden eyes that ran in the family, though they lacked the genetic condition that stained the skin of both the Admiral & Marcos. The oddest note, however was the metal implant located at the base of both twins' skulls. Once Aya had held the bow for a long second, the twins returned it in eerie unison. Though not as deeply. That out of the way, grins broke out all around & a quick flurry of hugs were exchanged.
-Aya Non, may I present our eldest Brother Kaddak.
The reply came from both mouths at once, giving him an odd stereo effect. It was a little like talking to an ithorian.
-Kaddak Hello, little brother.

Ships did not usually make the transfer from the wider galaxy into the hidden realms of Requiem. That actually wasn't true, cargo ships made the trip into the area extremely commonly. However, they didn't ever leave. Only drone ships were used, & after making the transition, they were simply listed as lost. It was a simple way to funnel a steady steam of resources & exceptionally valuable citizens into a safe zone. Rare technologies & potentially dangerous objects that needed to be kept for one reason or another also made the trip. What didn't happen, however, was things leaving Requiem.
Every rule had a few exceptions though. A few higher ranking member of the clan knew about the site in general terms. At least in general terms, if not exact location. A few had even made the trip, safely kept away from any sort of navigational data & making use of switching ships at black sites to prevent leaks. Aya was one of the few people that actually knew the coordinates of the site, & was still allowed to run around free in the wider galaxy.
She had a particular task in mind for this particular visit. One that would require help from two unusual beings. The first was her brother Non, who was riding with her in what had been termed the 'black out box' due to the lack of external access of any kind. The other would be meeting them when they arrived. An event that would be happening extremely soon, as their drone craft was already coming in for a landing.
Aya heard the lock to the compartment click open just as the shuttle settled to the ground. By now the navicomputer would have not only wiped itself clean, but the small charge that had been placed there also would have physically destroyed the device. The clan took no chances with the possiblity of someone breaching the divide, from either side.
-Aya Ready brother? It would seem we have arrived.

The rebuke was not unearned. A resource that valuable to the people shouldn't be handed away lightly. On the other hand, the two clans most suited for the task had either gone silent or fallen into disrespect. She was loath to put her clan into any major role, partly for fear that it would be seen as favoritism & partly because it would deny another clan the chance to contribute to the whole while they improved themselves.

Aya nods in agreement, before taking a sip of her own drink.
-Aya I do, in fact, have plans in regards to the shipyards. They are not quiet fully formed yet though. For one, I didn't yet have anyone in mind for heading up the task of getting them turning over smoothly. If you want it, you can take on that task as well. Aya took a moment to ponder out exactly what her priorities were.
-Aya Focus on the capital worlds first. Other than that, I want each fleet able to at least delay any reasonable sized attacking force, regardless of what types of ships the attack brings to bear. That means being able to fight against either fighters or capital ships. Beyond that, I think that the natural skills of the clans & their lack of experience should let you guide them into balanced choices.
On the other hand, mandos were known to be extremely hard headed about a great number of things. Torin would likely run into at least a few clans that simply refused to achieve any type of balance. It would be understandable, after all, Torin would likely be working with them for some time. It simply wasn't reasonable to try & sabotage his mission by having him try to force her own ideals down the throats of other clans.
-Aya Is there anything you will need from me in the very near future?

Aya nods in return,. He didn't seem interested in the offered drink, but at least he was willing to take on the job she wanted. She had plenty of of experience with the stiff military types, usually with the older clan members rolled in from the New Infinite Empire. So far she was having a fair bit of fortune so far. She was beginning to wonder when her luck was going to run out.
-Aya At first we will need more detailed meetings. Ship numbers & deployments, crew readiness, progress on building up fleets for the various clans, materials or equipment required, so on. Once thing start to settle out, it will decrease. Of course, if we get into a shooting war, it will increase sharply.

There was still a steady steam of clerks working on making a dent in the backlog of reports, so any air of formality was quickly ruined by their bustling around. Aya waves the (slightly) older man to lean again the center desk. She still hadn't gotten around to getting any chairs in the room yet, but hopefully she would at least have a seat to offer in the near future. For the time being, she could at least have drinks waiting for any guests. One benefit of holding court in a tavern.
-Aya Olarom.
She took a moment to really observe the man. They hadn't met personally before this, but their clans had interacted several times, most often cooperating. He was only about five years older than she was, but she looked less than half his age. A side effect of her race, or at least it would have been, if she had been the species she appeared to be. As it was, she was technically immortal, but that was no guarantee of a long life, as her own father displayed.
-Aya It has been too long since we were able to fight as a united force. I have people working on the ground side of the defenses. I doubt it will achieve any uniformity, but that isn't its goal. The goal is to bring everyone to fighting trim & able to at least work together. However, that is just the ground. I have my General, but I need an Admiral. Your clan has one of the largest & most successful navies in the Assembly. If you are willing, I want you to bring that expertise to the others. Visit the core worlds, find out what they have, what they need & what they want.

With his agreement to her plan, Aya sends out a number of quick messages. She was certain it would be needed, so the ship was already in orbit, waiting only for a set of coordinates. Once that was done, she finished up the few remaining details with the Itera chief. He would be needed before too much longer back at his homestead however, in order to sort out the inevitable details that always came up in situations like that.
With the beginning of an economy started & another task force investigating the situation for the Assembly's ground defenses, it was time to set up a fleet admiral. She had just the clan in mind as well. Beyond her own clan, Bralor was one of the few with a solid navy, along with a fairly decent track record. A quick message was sent to the clan chief, inviting him to a meeting. She had little enough doubt he would come, if only to find out what the invitation was for.

She thought about it for a moment.
-Aya The next step would likely be the two of us drawing up an agreement that fits our needs, without making it seem aggressive to the First Order.
She had a fair idea of what did & didn't want included in the document. Which she set about explaining in great detail. There were three major points, but mostly she needed help in the exact wording to use & how to order it on paper.
The largest & most obvious was the anyone that signed onto the Pact wouldn't be able to attack other members. At least not in an openly military way, some level of inter-state conflict was going to be inevitable as more members signed on. Hopefully, they could keep it down to economic pressures & general spy work instead of open warfare. That alone would be a huge boost.
The second was a joint military agreement. While they would normally be free to go about whatever they would be doing, the members of the Pact would agree to support each other militarily should a member be attacked by a group outside the bounds of the Pact.
The last was a fairly simple request for favored trade status between the various members of the Pact. While exactly what that meant would likely be left up to the individual governments, it would be a nice boost to get things rolling.

It was an understandable question, but one that Aya hadn't thought about too much yet. The Yuuzhan Vong would probably be a good addition. The Clan had nearly a good & long history with them as with the Chiss. They would require significant effort to bring up to fighting shape, & she already had the rest of the Assembly to worry about. The Mandalorian Assembly itself would be a good addition, collectively they were nearly as powerful as the Imperium, though not yet as advanced. Beyond that, she knew that Imperium scout were more often encountering a group known as the Eternal Empire, out even further from the core than Lehon was. There were also reports from the direction of Kamino & Geonosis about a new faction taking root.
-Aya For the moment, just the two of us. Hopefully I can bring more Clans into it from the Assembly, but I won't force it on them. The Imperium has a few more old allies it can feel out for membership but nothing solid yet.
