Teehee. This is late, but hi. Welcome to Corellia. I'll do what I can, but I need to finish a couple things first. So probably in two to three weeks. Kahn, I will be working on a post for you in the infirmary soon. I wonder what it's like to be well-off... or not to have to work more than one job. lol.

Recognizing the dark haired woman that approaches the table and addresses her adoptive father from her acceptance speeches earlier, Neassa says, Congratulations on your awards Master Jade, and then settles back in her chair to let the woman and Plu talk. "Master Jade!" The old Mandalorian exclaimed in surprise, sliding out a chair for her. "Please, do have a seat!" He patted the seat insistently. "And congratulations! A most deserved award. If I had known, I might have requested to be allowed to present yours." It had been so long since they had crossed paths face to face, he honestly could not remember their last meeting. He wondered if it had been during her stewardship of Galantos all those years ago, or whether they had met more recently. It couldn't have been that long ago, could it? But he had been out of circulation for a number of years now. Anything was possible at this point. When Ael had taken a seat, he motioned to the young woman in Mandalorian beskar'gaam who was seated across the table from him. "Have you met my daughter, Neassa?" He asked, pride in his voice. "Master Jade, Neassa aliit-Or'dinii. Neass'ika, Jetii Master Ael Jade." He paused for a moment to allow them to exchange any additional greetings, then addressed Ael once more. "What have you been doing lately, old friend? I heard a rumor that you have taken up residence on Corellia, with my former allies at the Jetii Academy." There was amusement in his voice. "I always thought you were more of a loner, Jade, so I'm surprised you would want to get mixed up in Jetii politics." "Thank you, Neassa," Jade replied, assuming there was a family relationship between her and Plu, although with the Mandalorian concept of 'family' being what it was keeping up with the convoluted twistings of Plu's family tree was confusing at best, impossible at worst, particularly since she hadn't had any real contact with him for many years."Oh?" she queried in response to Plu's greeting and wishing he had been the presenter. "You weren't want to greet me so effusively in the 'old days' as I recall," she chided the old Mando somewhat fondly as she seated herself. "I have just now," as he indicated Neassa she nodded in greeting, "Ael Jade, at your service." "In this case, old friend, the rumors have not kept up with the truth. Serrin Roma convinced me to join her, just before she vanished. So, in order to fill a vacuum I was appointed to the Corellian Council, and even that is not the half of it." She raised a hand to signal a passing waiter and lifted a glass filled with tihaar off his tray. She eyed the liquid for a moment before tasting it. As it burned its way down her throat, "I haven't had this since the last time you were on Galantos. Anyway," she continued, "Corellia, and from there...the High Council." She smiled. "And further developments pending." She shrugged ruefully, "It wasn't so much a matter of 'wanting' as a matter of necessity. However, I may shortly be returning to more of my old habits." "What about yourself, you old wolf? I always thought you were not exactly cut out for the cutthroat nature of Mandalorian politics yourself---I was constantly expecting to hear you'd been surreptitiously removed! Coming back to see what the new generation of Mandos is plotting?" She looked up with a smile as Z'har approached, though she wondered if he simply referred to the former Mand'alor as 'buir' in the metaphorical sense. "Z'har, if I didn't know better, I'd swear you were jealous," she tilted her head to one side to contemplate that for just a second, "come to think of it, that look might suit you."

Ael returned hand in hand with Serrin Roma and resumed her seat just long enough to applaud Jud'dayus (ooc of course since ic she wouldn't approve of a Sith!) and smiled over at him, before she was called back up along with Ice Matango and Zion Morviael for Best Overall. Then, once she managed to get back to the relative comfort of the Theatre she looked over at Serrin's table to make sure that Z'har and Kronos, particularly Kronos, were alright and turned aside to stop at another table.
This one had a Mandalorian warrior sitting almost alone. "May I?" she pointed to the chair next to him, looking him up and down to see what changes the years had brought to him. "It's been a long time, Plu," she smiled slowly, her lips molding into a thin arch that hid nothing of the steel in her character.

=Zion Morviael=Well, who knew dreams could come true, a three way with the sexy, and now single, Ice Matango and the ever beautiful, predator in hiding, Ael Jade! You know, I could die a happy man right now between these two ladies! ok, i'll stop, before I do end up getting killed... It is a real honour to have won this award alongside Ice and Ael on a more serious note, because these two have written some pretty terrific characters over the years. And you know, it really is through the excellent work that has been put in by the people I write with, that this is possible. So thank you all, whether I wrote with you as my main, or with one of my many alts! Zion then quickly made his way off stage before Ael or Ice arrived so they couldn't clobber him for his comments "In your dreams, love, only in your dreams---unless you want to make that dying bit a reality?" Jade shot at him sideways as he attempted to exit the stage in what could only be described as a precipitous fashion. With a dangerous light in her green eyes she turned and aimed a rather hefty tug in the Force towards the back of Zion's trousers. And then, without missing a beat she continued on up to the stage as Ice finished speaking. She smiled at the other woman, hoping that perhaps one day the two of them would actually get to interact on a meaningful level in universe. The award plaque was sparkly, and for a second felt blurry, but then it cleared."Thank you so much guys. I've had a fairly long run on JvS throughout its plethora of iterations, and when it comes right down to it, the community, as in yourselves, is the reason I'm still here. See you back in universe. You know where I hang out." And then she disappeared back into the crowd.

Jade smiled over at Serrin, thinking back on all the years they'd spent working together as the two of them headed up on stage. Once there, she felt a bit out of place, in spite of the fact she'd held various public offices throughout her career.
"Thank you all for the lovely compliment, especially for letting me share this award with Serrin Roma. Hopefully this is just another instance of our future working relationship in universe."
Yeah, speeches of this kind really were not her forte. Maybe Serrin would make it better.
Out in the audience she spied Z'har looking at her, though only because she knew exactly where he was. The lighting was a bit blinding and faces that she probably knew at least by reputation seemed a bit of a muddle from this vantage point.

Jade had barely finished congratulating Serrin upon her award for Best Non-Human, when Galdaart Fel took the stage and announced both herself and Serrin as winners of Best Lightsider. She flashed a glance at Kronos, then at Z'har, before leaning over to Serrin.
"That's us," she whispered, more excited than she ever would have actually admitted. Her author incredibly pleased to have tied with Serrin. (In fact, my job is now done, I can retire from JvS. XD)
The petite Jedi got to her feet and waited for her friend before heading up to the stage, not about to go without her. She was pleased that Serrin was alive and well after her long absence from Corellia, and this was just the icing on top of the proverbial cake so to speak.

Rawkill respectfully declined any offer the waiters made to him for food and drink, since he had eaten not long ago during his trip back here from Coruscant, and he had no real desire for any drinks, alcoholic or otherwise. He gave a curt bow to Jade when she came over to talk to him, complimenting him on his timely arrival to Yavin IV when it was in trouble, although the real credit was owed to the Force for his arrival=Jedi Master Rawkill=Timely arrivals are something of my speciality I suppose... Rawkill paused, taking a moment to think on Jade's questioning, as he scanned the gathered group of Jedi for no particular reason=Jedi Master Rawkill=But yes, it is time for me to return to my regular duties, although at this point, I can't say whether I do them for the Council, or if I'm just doing it for the sake of history, considering how few our numbers are... I appologize for my melancholy, it's just, a lot has happened lately... "It always seems to be that way. If it isn't the Empire, it's the Mando'ade, or something else. Evidently we are to be kept alert," she replied. "If you ever find that Coruscant and the Council of First Knowledge are not enough for you, I would be surprised if you were not welcome to make Yavin IV a base for your future operations within the realm of the Jedi Order." It was a subtle invitation that hinted at more to come, but only time would tell in this case.
Jade always had plans and contingency plans. She had too much experience to just let things be without getting involved in one fashion or another.

Smiling warmly when Ael joins us with her friends, I nod to thank her for her compliment and then say, "And you look as radiant as ever Ael, before leaning towards her to confide sincerely, I really believe that it is you who should have won rather than me, my friend. The night is young, however, I say with a smile, and I believe you are still up for a few awards yet to be announced. I hope to be congratulating you at least once this evening." Not at all surprised by Serrin's reaction as it is completely in character for her, Jade shrugged. "I have reason to be. Serrin have you met Z'har?" she indicated her much taller Zabrak companion. "It's a long story and we've got a lot of catching up to do, but for now, you deserve the award. I am pleased it went to you." Because frankly in her author's opinion, any list with Serrin's name on it should have Serrin at the top. "Doubtless I'll be rejoicing in your good fortune again this evening." She shot a glance over at Plu. It had been many years since the two of them had crossed paths, and in fact she was surprised to see him here, albeit pleasantly so.*Kronos followed Master Jade into the theater. He had reluctantly agreed to attend the event at Master Jade's invitation. To be honest, he wasn't really sure what was going on, but he had dressed nice for the occasion. He wore a black jacket that buttoned to the neck with decorative shoulder plates. A belt went around his waist and a pair of black pants and well polished boots completed the garb.*
*It was being around so many people though that made him uncomfortable. Even when he had been at the Last Dark, he had avoided the crowed and found an isolated seat at the bar. As such, he followed Master Jade quietly and took a seat next to her group, as he tried to figure things out.* Picking up a glass of Corellian Ale from a waiter passing by with a tray, she slid it over in front of Kronos. "Sometimes it helps with the nerves," she quietly told him, attempting to put him at ease and get him to relax in the midst of surroundings that obviously had him ill at ease.

Jade had arrived later than most, so she and her companions entered quietly during a momentary lull in the proceedings. On her right was Kronos Marek recently arrived at the Corellian academy, while on her left with her hand slipped through the crook of his arm was Admiral Z'har Or'dinii. She spied Serrin Roma and angled over towards her friend's table after applauding her wholeheartedly as Best Female Character. Rather, her author applauded. Whatever.
She looked over at Kronos, "So, this is the Sithies, drink the drinks, eat the food, mingle, enjoy yourself," she invited him, knowing he'd never been to one before and pleased that he'd been willing to step outside his comfort zone however momentarily.
The fond smile she then directed at Z'har as they seated themselves was quite warm in nature as she then greeted Serrin.
"Serrin, you look absolutely stunning," in a stage whisper.

~How dare she take the moral high ground in such a fashion after what she has done? Abandoning her post. The lightest words would regard a dereliction of duty. And yet now she has placed me in the position of aggressor with herself as victim!~ Such were my thoughts even as I reached out to steady her in case she should fall.
The shorter woman's eyes narrowed as she scrutinized the Twi'Lek's countenance. Her skin seemed paler, an unhealthy shade of yellow contrasted with her normally sunny visage. Ael reached into one of her belt pouches and withdrew an emergency ration pill which she then offered to her companion. "Starving yourself will not make amends, Serrin," she observed in a casually mild tone.

All the things I had been wanting to tell Serrin, all the recriminations and angry words I had been rehearsing throughout the flight from Corellia to Bimmisaari, all the betrayal, hurt, and abandonment subside for the moment as I saw her shoulder slump. More than that, her very lekku seemed broken, sad. I realized that if I said what I had intended to say, I would be kicking something that couldn't fight back, indeed, someone that didn't have the strength of will to want to fight back. I did not forget my anger, but I let it sit by the path for a moment. And with a rueful, grin I found myself speaking.
"Yes...well, I've never been a good listener," she drawled back calmly, willing the Twi'Lek to turn around and face her. "If I was, I wouldn't be here. I'd probably be dead." Both things were true. In fact, she would never have met Serrin in the first place, much less joined the Jedi Order. But, she'd been too stubborn and too much of a fighter to simply turn her face to the wall and die. "I seem to recall a persistent Twi'Lek that would not take 'no' for an answer---sound familiar?"
"You might as well get up, Serrin," I smiled at her back in what I intended to be a friendly-ish fashion, but I suspected it would look more like a grimace, as I placed my hands on my hips and tapped my foot on the ground. "You know I'm not going to simply go away, however much that might make your self-imposed exile more comfortable."
Not that she could have left anyway. From what she'd seen of the ship's innards, Z'har would be busy getting it flightworthy for at least twenty-four hours.

"I see," the Healer replied absently as she held the pendant up to the light and examined it. A grey eye peeked around the side of it, "Do you know if this belongs to him or if he recently acquired it?"
"Literally, or metaphorically?" she queried to his remark that the Jedi were currently in the dark. She set down the pendant with a sigh, then turned just as another young man entered the infirmary dragging...someone? behind him. The Twi'Lek edged around Kahn's bed and peered closer, one eyebrow arched steeply.
She already had her comlink out and had paged Security. "Well, it looks like you boys have some explaining to do while we're waiting for your friend to wake up," she gestured over towards Kahn with a graceful wave and then circumambulated the newest arrival, noticing the burns on his naked torso. There wasn't a lot one could do for a victim of Sith Lightning, aside from a stint in a bacta tank, and even then the residual muscle spasms that would be triggered by irritated and overstimulated nerves would occur for a good couple of weeks yet depending on the severity and duration of the Lightning. Her own lekku twitched sympathetically. "How are you feeling?"

So, PSA time. Again.
Due to the "Festival of Love" otherwise known as Valentine's Day, my hours at work have become insane. I'm not even sure when I'll be sleeping next week exactly. So, with the exception of this evening, possibly tomorrow evening, Sunday, and Tuesday, I will not be able to post until the week after Valentine's. >.< I've been promised a few days off from one of my jobs in order to recover. So, I'll catch up then.
Hence, I'ma see just how much I can get done tonight and on the aforementioned days.
After that, I'll see you all on the other side. Sorry for any delays you might experience.

What the lad had said went in one ear and out the other as Nala was busy with Kahn. She noted the odd pendant he was wearing and peered closer. "Hmm," she muttered to herself, tchinn, her right lekku curled as it draped down her back with a curious twitch. She careful removed the necklace while observing the Jedi and then held it up to the light, delicately drawn eyebrows slanted down toward her nose as she examined it.
Something penetrated her focus and the grey-eyed Healer turned around. "Twelve Sith?" On Corellia? In one place? Working together? It was common knowledge that Sith tended not to move in large groups together, probably due to their method of advancement, something about the apprentice killing the master and essentially promoting him or herself thereby... all these questions and more were included in the simple query she aired.
