Well there are plenty of opportunities across the board. We have a number of good factions that are welcome to cooperative and adversarial storylines. The Jedi located on Ossus and Corellia, the First Order towering from Coruscant, the Sith Eternal lurking upon Roon, the forming Five Worlds of the Corellian Sector, Mandalorians here and there, not to mention a ton of individuals with a number of varying stories that could always go for another story! You don't always need a faction after all.

Welcome, Renxing, to JedivSith. I do hope that we, as the community, can help you find your place to thrive and have fun here!
Have you got any thoughts towards a possible character yet or things still up in the air with the thought process?

It's all more or less cause of the Star Wars Armada game. But best to make it Venator III in case cause someone makes the Venator II as a submission.

I had some medical issues to deal with a week ago and still am on the recovery phase. I have slowly been getting back to this and meant to post this morning, as Octavian, to remind myself what’s going on and see any updates. I know I got something with Dice and Lucius to deal with. What were you waiting on Esthh?

A suggestion, not necessary, but I would consider a renaming of this vessel, namely because in Canon, there is a Venator I-class and Venator II-class that is noted. Thoughts on this, my fellow DOs?

So is this combine weaponry array two separate things that work in tandem OR is it an array that mixes the two together?
If it’s the latter, I have to reiterate our policy that we do not allow new technology for submissions. All technology must have a Wookieepedia article reinforcing what it is from Canon/Legends lore if you want to keep that array, I’d suggest using the technology spoken in the article I mentioned in my post before.

I would adjust the image to around 40 to 50% considering it is quite large and covers up the details below. A question on your weaponry, is it supposed to be like this?

Things are pretty quiet with the Mandalorian Assembly these days. We did try an SL here but then it sort of burned out quickly. Right now, not many Mandos remaining. Likely just the 4 you see in Lynris Skirata's thread (Buf, Lynris, Harini, and Galaar). We are looking to do something in terms of writing with her though. Beyond those four, I haven’t seen many others. Kaine was around for a time but it has been awhile since I have seen him. He tends to be on and off though.

Galaar is usually on Mandalore or Concord Dawn, given his roles with the Assembly. So we can work something out involving something mercenary work or perhaps a good hunt for something. Anything to help a daughter of Clan Skirata with returning to the fold of the Mandalorians!

I don't know if a ship of this size can handle four orbital autocannons, considering the Mandator IV is about the same size and has two, but also doesn't have the full complement of weaponry like this vessel does have.

And with that, a major chapter of the First Order, and a immense focus of my writing, has come to an end. Originally made to be a temporary character, I was very happy to see Nicademus flourish and rise over the past decade. Really, I was fortunate to have such amazing writers to help him along the way, those who are with us today still and those who are no longer among the rank and file. But hey! The journey doesn't end there! Nicademus is be dead, his story ended, but things will still continue with Octavian!
Here's to another character that will rise to greatness!

Hmmm... well, right now, the big events is the coming of a civil war to the First Order, Jedi Lords reviving Ossus, Vong activity in the galaxy, Sith rising once more in the Outer Rim, a New Rebel Alliance forming from the ashes of what remains of democracy and freedom. There are some choices here and there. Mandalorians are kind of quiet right now. We had attempted an SL to try and get a new Mandalore squared away, with some good action too, but that SL has sort of petered off unfortunately. In a bit of a limbo. I still got mine around, Galaar Vhett, if you wanna do something there. Harini Bralor seems to also be back in the galaxy too.

Nicademus slowly lays himself back against the bed. His eyes blinking slowly as they looked out at the scenery of Coruscant and the sky of the Imperial Center. He remembered the stories that his father told him of the Jewel of the Core, the Metropolis of the Galaxy. Never, in all his years, did the Emperor ever think he would be calling this place the center of power for a nation he helped found. The thought of those stories brought a smile to his face before his tired gaze turned to Faina once more. His hand holding hers gently as they looked upon one another.
It was in that moment that the Imperial heard something... a soft humming that seemed to come from nowhere. For a moment, it seemed absolutely foreign to Nicademus, until his ears tuned in a bit more. He realized it was his mother, Octavia, humming a song she always did when she worked around the home. It had been years since he had heard that humming tune. Not since his younger years on his homeworld. Slowly, his eyes closed as he took the time to hear it once more. When they opened, his eyes looked to Faina.
You know, Faina, there was one regret I do have...
A soft chuckle emitted from his lips as Nicademus put on his best smile, one last time.
I never got the chance to beat you in sparring...
And with that, his final words were spoken. As the precious seconds passed, the light of his eyes began to fade. The muscles loosened as his head leaned to the side ever so slightly. And the grip upon her hand loosened as the arm slowly went limp. A soft exhale came from the lips of the smiling Nicademus as he finally breathed his last. By the time a full minute had passed, the last bit of life had faded to nothing. The spirit had abandoned its mortal coils and left for the beyond.
The Emperor, Nicademus Delvardus IV, was dead.

I can understand the concern, given the difference in the range of weapons mentioned. Given the difference, it would certainly be cause for a discussion. I will remark that, from experience, that’s almost like a blue moon occasion where you will run into someone, in the present community, that knows those numbers and will utilize them to their advantage. Majority of the website either doesn’t know or such technical details doesn't really matter to them. Such information is really disregarded over stuff like how much the ship can punch or how defensive the shields are and what the countermeasures are. If someone wants to enter the system out of range of weaponry, they state it as such and thus it is assumed that they are outside whatever could be the longest range.
For the most part, everything is treated as equally across the board for the sake of balance and fairness. When the Databank was made, and people began to submitted much older vessels (ex. Cal-class Battleship), we decided that it was best to just say everything is modern and up to date. Otherwise that would be quite the hassle to endure. Thus this decision ensured there wasn’t any serious disadvantage at wanting older vessels over newer ones. I mean people still love their Venators, their ARC-170s, their Centurion-class Battlecruisers, their Harrowers (my personal favorite). They shouldn't be handicapped cause of that preference.

Nicademus watched as all filed out of the bedroom. The Emperor taking a good look at all those who left... knowing this would be the last time. Even though he did not have the power of the Force, the Imperial sensed it. His time was coming and these precious seconds had been spent with those he loved. But, whereas others would have wanted to be surrounded to the very end, Nicademus decided otherwise.
...I didn't want the children to see the life leave my eyes, Faina...
He spoke softly after a few moments of silence. His hand slightly gripping the sheets as best he could. Nicademus exhales deeply, knowing he wouldn't be able to meet his grandchildren, to see Remus and Yvaine grow up to their full potential, to see Octavian and Fiora rise higher and become pillars of the Empire... so much was not to be seen, so much to miss out on... the Imperial hoped that he had set the right example for future generations to come.
Slowly, his hand moved, gripping the fingers of Faina's hand firmly as she remained by his side. Nicademus knew he was fortunate deep down. He had raised four children, been married twice, although the first marriage ended with an unfortunate departure, seen an Empire rise from nothing, and become a paramount leader within the galaxy. If he were younger and someone foretold this to him, Nicademus would hardly believe it.
When tomorrow comes, Faina, ensure that Brock and Baltasar execute my will to the letter. Ensure all that were my defenders and lieutenants are brought back to the capital and allow the Empire to mourn. More importantly, with his ascension, allow Octavian to be Grandmaster of the Imperial Knights, just as the Fels before.
Nicademus says, making a final request to his wife. He knew that, with Faina, Brock, and others, Octavian would become a good leader of the Imperial Knights. For long had they been without an Emperor and received one in the form of Nicademus. Now, an Emperor would arise and become not only the leader of the nation they protected, but also their commander as master of the order. A promise would be fulfilled, one given to Xeonon many decades ago when the two first met and conversed about the future.
Slowly, his hand moved, causing Faina's to rise so that Nicademus could kiss it gently.
For me, to be your husband, for nearly thirty years has been... a privilege that is beyond words.
His eyes look now at the Empress.
I have known you longer than anyone else who I have known since coming to Aargau, all those years ago. Even Brock, who had been with the Imperial Knights back then, I did not know yet... but you, I remember our first conversation. You were surprised when I mentioned my education under a Sith Lord. But I assured you that those influences were meant to protect me from others that may seek to use the Force to coerce and threaten me.
Nicademus, back then, was the young Head of State for the Deep Core Remnant. Names, such as Gabriel Solomon, Sarah Dodonna, Xeonon Solomon, and more were still alive and well. They served him directly, seeing to it that the foundations, left by Cade Fel, were not at all wasted but secured and utilized to grow. Nicademus stepped in to be the leader that the remnant of the Second Fel Empire needed to firmly establish itself. It is amazing to think of those days now, almost like in a bygone era. So much had changed, to such a degree that even the Imperial would sit in his office, gaze out at Coruscant, and wonder if it was all but a dream.
I have loved you and always will love you, even into the next life.
The Emperor's voice grew a bit softer.
Know that I will be with you, even though I am gone, Faina. Know that, if there is a next life for us, I will find you again and fall in love with you once more. Fate was most kind to give me such a strong defender, a valiant Imperial Knight, and a loving Empress, who was a mother to all my children and the support I needed to keep going forward.
Nicademus deeply exhales, looking upon Faina for the last time. She had been so much in his life: a loyal Imperial Knight, among those who defended him both verbally and with her blade, the one who helped strengthen the Imperial Knights, and ever so his protector. When his eyes came across her, that time on Muunilinst, he gave love a chance... and it was the right decision. At times, Nicademus had even asked why he hadn't done so sooner, but perhaps, fate believed the time was right for then and not before.
Help me lay down. My head is feeling a little heavy...
The Imperial requests as he begins to move now, seeking to rest upon the bed.

As a member of the Databank Operators, I would like to say that we seek fairness and balance with submissions. Especially when it comes to Custom submissions.
While such countermeasures against the Vong exist, such as what you mentioned, they are not in wide usage. Ships are not meant to be built perfect, they too have their own issues, no matter what the Era is. It is a consistent journey of adjusting, re-adjusting, and amending when it comes to the Databank, but we strive to ensure there is a balance. We don't want things to be too overpowered after all.
There is only one adjustment to turbolasers recently, but that's due to Legends. The Long-Range variant isn't used in too much quantity though. The Megador, a Star Dreadnought of between 5,000 to 19,000 meters, had three of these at the time of the Second Galactic Civil War in Legend's Legacy Era. But of course, they draw more power and even a vessel of that size couldn't seem to have more than just a few. As such, given the Megador's precedence, we strive to follow this example by keeping the use of long-range turbolasers at a minimum.
I do hope this helps with some clarification. We certainly don't want you, as a dedicated YV writer, to feel that you are disadvantaged due to the results of the Legends established Yuuzhan Vong Invasion arc. I have always viewed YV technology, in some ways, as on par with its equivalents, but also superior in other ways.
