Accompanied by his Ver'alor Cabur, Molan, Torin Bralor, head of Clan Bralor, arrives shortly before the appointed time of the gathering of the clans called by the D'Ordinii representatives. A sixty five year old human male, his buy'ce currently carried in the crook of his left arm, with closely cropped grey and blonde hair, armored in green beskar'gam with subtle orange flourishes, Torin conceals his discontent at learning what had transpired to cause the D'Ordinii representatives to summon the clans beneath his customarily stoical expression.
Nodding a greeting to the young representative of Clan Ordo, garbed in her unique yellow and black beskar'gam, Torin searches the room briefly for any other early arrivals, nodding greetings to them as well before continuing on towards the tables where he assumes the discussion will be held.
Softly uttering his thanks to Molan when handed a short glass of tihaar after they have taken seats at one of the tables laden with food and drink, Torin settles in to await the beginning of the gathering, cautioning himself against letting recent events sour him against any proposals that may be made concerning the future of the Mando'ade now that they are once again bereft of a Mand'alor, a title that, more and more, seems to have become foredoomed given what has befallen either those who bore it or the Mando'ade as a whole as a result of their leadership.

*Talrich Itera made his way into the assembly of clans accompanied only by his son Hector. The grizzled 60 year old Human removed his helm and scanned the already assembled representatives. Despite his clan's isolationist nature he knew most of those present by sight and he gave a short and respectful nod to each. The Iron grey hair of the older man's head was cut short, only a single shock of white where hairline met scarline, ruined the uniform feel of his no nonsense hairstyle. At over 6 feet and still stocky for a man his age, he cut a decently imposing figure as his hard blue eyes seemed to look everywhere at once. His Black armor was trimmed with Gray except for a single forearm brace which was a bright yellow. It had been a piece of his wife's armor, having had it resized after her death nearly a decade ago. The two men reached a far table where Hector removes his marbled blue and red helm, revealing a face identical to his twin Erik's, right down to the ice blue eyes, and shaggy brown hair. A skilled observer who knew both men would notice a much harder and far too serious set to Hector's face however. It was a face weighed down by far more responsibility than a young man his age should be burdened with. The two men sat at the table, their eyes looking all around but otherwise remaining still and silent, not even conversing with each other. They were here for a specific reason and that reason wasn't socialization*

While the demeanor of the Iteras give him the distinct impression that they are not likely to welcome any conversational overtures not directly related to the business that has brought them all here, something in Ellie's expression or comportment suggests to Torin that she might be more at ease if she were acknowledged in a way other than the silent, stoic nods that have, thusfar, been all that those present have exchanged.
Having been to the last several gatherings of the clans, none of which Ellie had been present for, Torin surmises that she is either new to her role as clan leader or perhaps the representative of a clan that has not been interested, until now, in attending such gatherings. Turning in his seat to face Ellie, Torin holds out a gloved hand and introduces himself, "Torin Bralor, and then asks conversationally, First time representing your Clan at one of these, or the first time in a while that your Clan has decided to attend one?"

Kaalin Karr and his alor'ad Kyrien entered the MandalMotors Hall in a quick but symmetrical pace. Kaalin donned his black and gold beskar'gam. Kyrien adopted the black primary appearence, but opted for a green trim instead of Kaalin's gold. They continued their march towards the head table, nodding at each warrior they passed. Kaalin always presented himself with honor and pride, but he quickly realized he may be the youngest member of the group. He hoped that wouldn't sway anyone's opinion of him, even if they hadn't seen him in combat.
The two calmly sat down, poured a glass of gal, and waited quietly for the rest of the clans to arrive.

*Ellie straightened some when Torin spoke to her. Her eyes went briefly from the man's extended hand to his eyes, before grasping his hand with her own.* "Ellie Ordo." *A small grin appeared on her face when he asked his question.* "Yes, and no. This is the first time I've ever represented my clan. The last time I was at one of these I was...seven I think. As for my clan, I'm not really sure when their last time here was."
*Ellie's attention turned to the new comers as they entered. She gave them a once over and realized just how beat up her besker'gam really was. Her gaze quickly turned back to Torin.* "Honestly, I haven't been to Mandalore in some time. So, I'm not exactly sure what to expect."

Galaar Fett joins the gathering of the Mandalorian clans, not seen since the days that Mandalore the Architect was elected. He had been away on Concord Dawn for some time now, ensuring the drilling of the Mandalorian Protectors and the Journeyman Protectors. It was sad news to hear the former Mandalore had stepped down and practically vanished... possibly going on a great pilgrimage or elsewhere in the galaxy, wherever it called him. The Mandalorian Assembly was without leadership... and if a leader was not proclaimed, they would certainly fall apart.

Seeing that most of the major clans were represented, 21-35-28 stood up to address the group. The setting had been planned particularly so that there would be no clearly dominate or commanding position to take among the offered seats. Instead, anyone could stand & speak with equal ease.
-21-35-28 <in mando'a> Alore. To even the most remote of you, it is obvious we have made more progress as a people in the short time under the last Mand'alor than we have in the last decade. With his vanishing, the need for new leadership is clear. Clan D'Ordinii will not allow the Mandalorians to fall back into our scattered ways. We must remain strong together. Even if we do not speak with one voice, let us stand in one accord.
The mechanical being gives a long pause to allow those gathered to think.
-21-35-28 <in mando'a> I would have us, in all hope, speak also with one voice. Clan D'Ordinii calls on those willing to take up the position of Mand'alor to now stand.
Having made his plea, 21 retakes his seat. He would represent his clan faithfully, but he knew he was not fit for such wide spread leadership.

Aya had timed it perfectly. With any luck, no one had yet marked her absence from Lehon, let alone her rapid travel halfway across the galaxy. As 21 retook his seat, Aya marched into the hall. She was wearing the same, subdued suit of low-profile power armor she always wore in more practical settings. The fancy suits & trimmings she used to impress the aruetii would have had a negative effect in this crowd. Walking steadily toward the middle of the hall, she holds up the relatively small bone disc that had been tucked away in clan archives for long decades, ever since an archeologist had found it during her father's rule.
-Aya By the true mask of Mand'alor, Aya Dizen Or'dinii of Clan D'Ordinii claims the title of Mand'alor. Does anyone else here claim that title?
As far as she (and her father before her) were able to tell, it actually was the mask. Every test they could run matched exactly what it would for the genuine article. She would have loved to do a similar set of tests on the one found by Damocles, but that was impossible now. Even visually, it was a perfect match for the one that had been destroyed by the warlord that would not be named. Since the discovery of this one, three more had been found at various ancient mandalorian battle sites. All of them passing the same set of test. It would seem that several were made at the same time & likely by the same person. Not that Aya had any plan to share that info. She would, however, freely share the test results for this particular mask.

*Ellie straightened some when Torin spoke to her. Her eyes went briefly from the man's extended hand to his eyes, before grasping his hand with her own.* "Ellie Ordo. . .Yes, and no. This is the first time I've ever represented my clan. The last time I was at one of these I was...seven I think. As for my clan, I'm not really sure when their last time here was. . .Honestly, I haven't been to Mandalore in some time. So, I'm not exactly sure what to expect." Torin nods once Ellie has finished speaking, remaining silent for a moment, his expression indicating he is considering what she has said carefully, before replying. From Ellie's reply, it sounds to Torin as though she has not only been away from Manda'yaim, but had also not kept herself involved in or informed of her Clan's affairs or those of the Mando'ade during her time away; making Ka'ra's decision to cede leadership of the Ordo clan to Ellie interesting to say the least. Of course, Torin reminds himself, there may be more to the situation than he is aware of, and so he decides to refrain from commenting on the matter of what led to Ellie being placed in her role, and instead doing what he can to help her feel more at ease.
"I find it best to refrain from forming too much expectation, Torin says in his gravelly voice after the brief pause in which he gathered his thoughts. Expanding on his reply, Torin says, Trying to anticipate everything or be too prepared can lead to bias, or deafen you to things you might pick up on if you keep an open mind. Listen to what is said, consider the interests of your Clan and of the Mando'ade in light of what is said, and make any decisions that might be required accordingly. Offering Ellie a smile, Torin suggests, Try to relax, and trust in yourself and your ability to to do what you have been chosen to do."
Not long after he has spoken, the meeting proper begins, and Torin listens as the reason the clans have been called together becomes clear in relatively short order; Aya Or'dinii making her intent to take on the mantle of Mand'alorknown. Torin has never met Aya, but he knows enough of the D'Ordinii and the Infinite Imperium to to have little objection to the idea of one of their number assuming the role of Mand'alor; for if Aya, as Mand'alor, can bring some of the vision, wisdom, wit, and strength that characterizes the Infinite Imperium to the Mando'ade, it can only strengthen them.

Orrick, here representing Clan Awaud, had never bothered attending a meeting such as this before. Being overshadowed by the larger clans of Or'dinii, Bralor, Ordo and Fett respectively, Awaud never really had any reason to abandon its ways. Today, however, was different. With Clan Australis challenging the leadership of Mandalore The Architect and the resulting action having both disappear without a trace, the Mandalorian Assembly needed leadership. Normally the leadership of the Mandalorians was of no value to him or his clan. Or at least that was the way things were. With Orrick as the head of his clan now, it was time to change how the remains of his clan operated. It was time to be beneficial to his people, rather than detrimental. While he was by no means the strongest, most fearless or even the best equipped to take on the task of becoming Mandalore, now was the chance to try. He also didn't want the expansionist Imperium in charge of everything either. No. It needed to be someone who still placed worth on what it meant to be Mandalorian. Honor, strength, courage. These were all parts of their way of life. Of their culture. It was time to get back to tradition. But also bring in change enough to avoid warring with each other or anyone else. To strengthen their roots and rise up together. It was possible. It could be done. Provided there were those among them that wanted these things. Taking note of all the other clan representatives present, Orrick noticed Aya Or'dinii marching into the hall. Holding the bone disc that was apparently the true mask of Mand'alor by her declaration. Considering the helm had actually been uncovered and claimed by Damocles, then destroyed by Kaine, he doubted the sudden appearance of this 'mask' and its authenticity. Removing his helm and placing it under his left arm, the grey haired, heavily scarred man with discolored eyes spoke up. His gruff voice strong and commanding, but not threatening."Orrick Massani Awaud of Clan Awaud does!"Again, by no means was he the most qualified for the task of being Mandalore, but in his mind, it was better to have his clan in charge, then someone with ties to the Imperium. Others may not see it that way, and that was fine. All he could do was challenge Aya's claim. And while he had no traditional trinkets to show his challenge, he would challenge her just the same. He hoped his brother, Henoc, wasn't here to see this, though. His younger brother wasn't a fan of this sort of thing. Remaining as a bounty hunter was more ideal to him. Hopefully he would see the sense in Orrick's move here. Hearing gasps and feeling over a dozen sets of eyes focusing on him, he continued in his stride forward. It was no good to back down now...

*Talrich couldn't help but snort a little as the show plays out before him. Aya's attempt at a dramatic entrance mildly annoys the old man and he rolls his eyes slightly to his son, expressing his dislike of it. Despite the mild annoyance he had no objection to her claim to the title. Clan Itera was here more as witness than anything else. One Mand'alor was much the same as any other in his book. Sure they might try to stir the stew a little, might even call for a war if they felt extra bold, but the Clan would survive as it always had, whoever claimed the title. He doubted her claim that this was the true mask, just as he had the Architect's claim before her. That didn't matter though, it was a symbol, not matter it's origins.
His eyebrows do raise when a representative from Awaud speaks up in challenge. He hadn't expected that, but he wasn't too bothered either way. At least the challenge might be mildly entertaining. Maybe this wasn't a wasted trip after all...*

Aya nods in a friendly manner to Orrick. She had not met him personally, but she liked to keep as up to date on the various factions of the Assembly as possible. Unfortunately, in this case that was mostly hear-say & rumor, but even so he seemed an honorable enough soul. Truth be told, she was more happy as a second, as a powerful lieutenant, instead of the main ruler. Her command of the Imperium, however, had taught her that role though. As well as the need to own up to responsibility one may have. Since she didn't know Orrick's qualifications well enough, she had to persist under the assumption that he wasn't cut out for rule. If he beat her, of course, she would do what she could to make sure he did the best job possible. Just as she had with Damocles.
-Aya Oya, vode. You have steel if nothing else. First, let's see if anyone else is willing to drop their hat in the ring for the bone paperweight. After that, we will decide how we want to settle this.
Awaud & Or'dinii each obviously supported their own claims. Bralor seemed to be leaning toward Clan Or'dinii. While Itera seemed not to care either way. That left the Ordo, Fett, & Karr clans to speak up.

So, Ordinii had finally shown its true ambitions and claimed the helm of Mandalore. Galaar remembers supporting the previous Mandalore who had since disappeared. Rumors abound all over as where Damocles Ordo was, but there was no time for those thoughts. The Architect had proven his worth as a bridge between disorder and establishing order. He had gotten the Mandalorians thinking and looking at each other as renewed allies, rather than rivals. It was unfortunate that the young Mandalorian did not remain where he was seated... times changed though and, as the stars moved, so did leaderships change.
Galaar felt he was too old to challenge for the Helm. He was a Mandalorian born on Dxun who somehow came to lead Clan Fett. The man enjoyed hunting and was already becoming irritated with leading a clan. But it would be what his blood brother would want of him... to lead the Fetts to greatness as the Mandalore, Cassus, did before. Minor clans were already showing their support for Ordinii, which left himself, Ordo and Karr to support or challenge her.
Clan Fett, the Mandalorian Protectors, and the Journeyman Protectors...
Galaar turns to look at Aya.
...support the claim of Aya of Clan Ordinii.

Kaalin sat still, despite the sudden actions errupting across the hall. He looked towards his right hand man, only to be greeted by a slight shrug. Kyrien and Kaalin always seemed to be on the same page, no matter the circumstances. He looked back towards the two now standing Aliit'alors, both now declaring their intentions clearly. Kaalin had never met either Aliit'alors prior to this meeting, which didn't help either of their claims. Kaalin stood up slowly, grasping his ale between a few of his fingers. He needed to make a decision, but he needed something before he could make up his mind.
"I'm glad to see we have two eager Vod willing to lead our brothers and sisters, but appointing either of you as Manda'lor isn't as simple as making a claim."
Kaalin took another sip of his drink, allowing himself to gather his thoughts. "Our Manda'lor must be strong, vigilant and utterly loyal to his Vod. You must be able to lead through adversity, charge through the fields during Akan and provide our people the means for a prosperous future."
He took another sip of the ale, and placed the glass down on the table in front of him. He crossed his arms out in front of him, all the while keeping his eyes towards the two potential Manda'lors.
"So....Whose it gonna be?"

It seemed that the representative from Ordo had nothing much to say. With the open support of the Fett & Bralor clans & the rest being neutral, that accounted for everyone.
-Aya It would seem that the only open support is leaning my way, friend. So how about it? I would prefer not having to kill you. There would be no shame in back out now. I would still welcome your advice, of course. A dissenting voice of reason is a valuable thing.
She was, of course, being sincere. It would be a loss to have to kill someone that had already proved themselves worthy of leading a clan. Even if she didn't have any real personal information about him. As for killing him, if I came down to it, she had no doubt that between her body that had been designed for rapid & brutal assassinations & the powered armor that enhanced her even further, the only possible result of a fight would be his death.

*Ellie took Torin's advice and stored it for later. One thing he said almost made her laugh. Refrainfrom too much expectation, nownthat was something she was familiar with. She didnt have time to answer though, as a newcomer arrived with what they claimed to be the mask of the Mand'lor and threw out their claim to the title. Ellie had barely sized the newcomer up, when another stood and challanged her claim. In all honesty, she wasn't entirely sure who to side with.*
*Her gaze drifted from person to person in order to size up their reactions. Several, it seemed, were siding with the newcomer, even Torin. Perhaps that was the right choice, for now she would just have to wait and see.*

Orrick, still holding his helmet at his left side, merely observed what was taking place. Fett supported Ordinii. No surprises there. Snorting in disgust he continued to listen and observe those in the halls around him. Clan Bralor remained silent in this matter, though he was fairly certain he knew which way they were going to swing. And then once of Clan Karr spoke up. Nodding solemnly in silent agreement with the points he raised, all Orrick said was this:*
"Aliit ori'shya tal'din! Ner loyalty brokar te mando droten... cuun droten, is steadfast bal nasreyc."("Family is more than blood! My loyalty to the Mandalorian people... our people, is steadfast and resolute.")
*And those words were true. In his heart, he knew family was more than blood. And he knew his loyalty to his people was steadfast and resolute. Despite spending years working as a mercenary to make a living, he never did turn his back on his culture. He was proud of who he was. But with the way this was going, he was fairly certain it wasn't his chance to rule over his people. Clan Ordo hadn't spoken up yet, neither had Itera, and Karr was still deciding. And then the Ordinii member spoke, as if she had already won the claim. He merely shook his head and nodded his chin out towards the crowd, refusing to acknowledge her until everyone present had cast their vote, whichever way it went. Even though his defeat was highly probable, it was still possible that Clans Karr and Ordo could swing this in his favor. However, there was still the matter of Clan Bralor. They were quiet and contemplating, such was their nature. And he respected them for it. But they would need to speak up soon, either in his favor or in Clan Ordinii.

Not long after Aya makes her claim, Orrick Awaud follows suite. As is the case with Aya, Torin has no personal history with Orrick, and knows him solely by reputation; the man's achievements including uniting Clad Awaud despite the rift his strained relationship with his brother had created before Orrick's leadership abilities and aspirations for his clan enabled him to seal it.
His contemplative nature not predisposing him to haste where making weighty decisions is concerned, Torin elects to wait before throwing his support behind either candidate; observing each, and, when possible, the discernible responses their words and actions incite among the other clan leaders. Kaalin's point about becoming Mand'alor involving more than merely making a claim, following after the Fett's make their support for Aya's claim known, is a sound one in Torin's estimation, and he finds little to fault in the qualities that Kaalin goes on afterwards to describe as necessary for one who would be Mand'alor to possess.
Torin's expression is, briefly, bemused when Aya's response to Kaalin's address is, essentially, to make her belief in the certainty of her victory should the question of who will lead the Mando'ade come down to a fight to the death, where Orrick's response is more on point. Clan Bralor's dealings with the D'Ordinii - coupled with his knowledge of their accomplishments, and of what he understands Aya's relationship to Admiral Z'har Dizen Or'dinii to have been along with what he assumes she would have gained from it - incline Torin to view Aya's claim more favorably, for it not only seems to him that her history makes it evident that she has all of the qualities that Kaalin had described as required of the Mand'alor, but also that the indisputable accomplishments of the D'Ordinii Clan demonstrate the benefits of harnessing those qualities and making the most of them. For some reason, however, Torin feels as though he does not yet have all that he needs to make a decision, and so after a moment he stands up to speak to try and learn what he needs to make his decision.
Nodding towards Orrick, Torin says in Mando'a, "Your loyalty to the Mando'ade is to be commended, vod, but it alone does not make you fit to lead any more than does possessing a symbol that, in and of itself alone, means little. Gesturing around at all those present, Torin says, I think that all of us here share your fierce loyalty to the Mando'ade, and that our loyalty demands of us all today that we make the best choice for the Mando'ade as to who will serve as Mand'alor. Turning towards Aya, Torin continues by suggesting, I'm not sure that victory in single combat would equate with wisdom where selecting the Mand'alor is concerned, he attempts a small joke, as easy as it would make the decision for us all. Assuming that the fact that the passing on of the mask is a custom that, over time, was largely set aside to be replaced by gaining the support of the Mando'ade is known to all, Torin does not address it and instead, loathe as he is to invite what could descend into fruitless debate, says, So that we can all make an informed decision, perhaps you could each briefly describe your plans for the Mando'ade should you become Mand'alor."

Aya nods, it was a fair question. One that would also likely swing the undecided members one way or another.
-Aya (in Mando'a) You are correct Torin. The bloodiest hand is rarely the most suited to rule. But it has been that way in our halls for an unfortunately long time. My plan is simple. Too long the clans have been separate, minding their own business in their own little corner of the galaxy. My clan is no less guilty. The Architect showed us there was more. He showed us what it was like to be unified again. I, personally, am unwilling to let that slip away just because one hot headed warlord destroyed an artifact.
She takes a moment to look at the mask she was still carrying, before placing it on one of the nearby tables.
-Aya (in Mando'a) Or at least tried to it seems. My plan is to continue what the Architect started. Build up the clans in both resources & connections. To increase our connections so that we no longer face what the universe throws at us as individual clans, but as one people.
She turns to Orrick addressing the last directly to him & him alone. She was standing close enough to him that she was certain few, if any would overhear her.
-Aya (in Mando'a) I wouldn't have killed you, even if it had come down to a challenge. I figure I could choke you out long enough for you to eventually yield. You lead a proud clan, & I can respect that. But it is also a small clan. My father required me to work my way up in power from the lowest ranks in my clan. I understand the challenges & problems faced at many different levels of command. There is a vast difference between commanding a few hundred beings & commanding billions. I mean no offense. But, you are untested, & we can't afford that right now.

Orrick nodded in agreement of Torin. He was correct. Most here were probably as loyal as he was. And stating his personal plans for his people as a whole, should he be selected to be the next Mand'alor was a good idea as well. And while he had never spoken of his desire to anyone, he knew his reasoning was solid. Much like Aya's, it seemed. He listened to Aya answer Torin and then step in close and address him. Kill him!?! My, she was a violent little pistol, wasn't she? It seemed that, despite her commanding at different levels, it had done little to instill any sense of discipline within her. Rolling his eyes and clenching his jaw, he shot back a retort, low enough so that only she could hear, looking her dead in the eyes."You talk of respect, yet you speak as if you truly have no concept of the word. You assume that violence is the only way to settle this matter and you falsely assume that I am so easily disposed of..."Orrick's organic eye flashes dangerously as he speak, having lost all respect for the Zabrak before him." And you speak of having the ability to command vast legions, but you forget one key component, little Ordinii. It isn't the quantity of command, it's the quality. Size isn't everything, and it certainly doesn't impress me..."With a smirk, he stepped away and spoke out to the people gathered there."Aya speaks truly, if not prematurely. Were I to assume the title of Mand'alor, it would be to follow in the footsteps of my ancestor, Aga Awaud, know better as Mandalore the Uniter! During a time where our people were ravaged by plague and war, he managed to unite us under seemingly impossible odds. And the results of his rule? Look around you." Orrick gestures out to the crowd with his free hand. "Were it not for the efforts of Mandalore the Uniter, we would be nothing more than a footnote in the galactic history archives. While I may not be the great Aga himself, you can be certain I bring forth the same principles and ideals. The Architect has laid the ground work for us all, and from there, I intend to build up and out, until we are an industrial power once again, like we were during the reign of The Uniter! We've isolated ourselves for too long, becoming disconnected from ourselves and the galaxy as a whole.
