Once again she fell into step behind Gavin as he paid and made his way out of the shop. With the tattoos taken care of, there was only one thing left. She used the thoughts of new clothes to help dull the sting in her cheeks. If anything, it was an irritation that didn't go away. With every moment, she wanted to reach up and rub or scratch though she refrained from doing so.
As they walked, she began to recognize some of the sights from the day before. As she played the locations and their path out in her head, she could only believe that they were heading towards the clothing store she had looked at. Seeing that she was correct, her excitement began to rise once again. Entering behind him, her eyes began instantly searching between the racks at the clothes. What would she get? So many things looked so cute. Choices and more choices.
When Gavin mentioned getting clothes made, her face came up with a blank. What would she create? When the woman asked what she had in mind, she gave a shrug with a shy face. "I...I am not sure." The women only smiled and went behind a counter to set up a terminal that showed many styles that she could work with. Sitting down, she began to look through them, hoping for Gavin's input as well.

Gavin began looking through the styles along side Anya, pointing out a few styles he thought looked good, or at least parts of them.* "What you're looking for here is something that can be used to train in, but also gives you a sense of uniqueness. If we ended up going to a Temple or something, they'd get an easy idea that your being trained or whatnot. Anything straight training or casual we can buy of the racks here."

With a nod, Anya made a mental note of what Gavin suggested. She paid special attention to the things he mentioned as well as the things she found a liking for. When she had the ideas, she motioned for the women that she was ready. Coming around, Anya began discussing the ideas and styles she liked. The woman nodded, registering her understanding. She inputted the information into a datapad and went over to another women. Without a second's hesitation, she began working on the designs for approval. Once that was set in order, she led Anya into a small room.
At first she was uncertain of how to respond when the woman asked her to undress. When asked why, the response was one that held much logic. It was to simply make sure the clothes fit to her frame exactly as needed and the clothing she wore could hinder the measurements. Slowly and shyly, she undressed herself. Stepping up to the women, she did as instructed: holding her arms out or up, spreading her legs or simply standing straight. It took a few minutes, but soon they were done and she dressed quickly. Following the woman out, she made her way over to the clothes where Gavin already was. She began looking, her mind uncertain of what to get. She had some clothes already and her new clothes were enough as it was. In the end, she settled for a couple thin short shorts and tank tops for training as well as some loose fitting cloth pants. The only other option she went with was a fitted blue jacket that buttoned up the front. After trying them on, she walk up to Gavin with a large smile.
"I have everything I want. Thank you for getting me some new clothes." Though her happiness could literally explode from her at this point, her voice was soft, expressing its thankfulness.
Before anything else could be said, the woman called Anya over. The woman had been quick with the designs, to say the least. Looking over the designs as she went through them, Anya nodded. She was getting two pairs of boots, one black, the other brown. As with the boots, she gained a few pairs of leather pants, each black and brown as well. Moving on to the tops, her focus really set in to ensure everything was as she wanted.
The first was but a simple design. It was a extremely short sleeved shirt, colored in a brown a few shades lighter than her pants. Over it was a brown leather vest in the same hue as her pants. It carried a hood on it and zipped up the front. Her second outfit was a rosy red sleeveless top, the straps easily as wide as her shoulders. Its edges were outlined in black as was the tube top that rested underneath. It also carried a few bands of the same color patterns to rest around her arms. Finally came the third outfit. It must have been the fanciest style, something she thought would hold a bit of elegance to her looks. It was a spaghetti strapped style shirt in a sapphire blue. Outlining the edges of it was a brown trim, a red gem held in place just above her left breast. What was unique to her about it was that down the back, it continued on passed the waist, almost reaching her knees. For additional flavor, she added a red cloak that slopped at her shoulders, extending off them slightly like shoulder pads and bore a hood. It trailed down her back, stopping just a little further down her legs than her shirt. While red, it was outlined in green .
She then motioned for Gavin to come and look at the designs that had been made, hoping for his approval. It was her first go at making clothes just for herself, and despite it all, she was rather proud with how well it had turned out.

*Gavin came over and inspected the clothing, giving her an approving nod.* "They look nice indeed. Good choice."
*After paying for the clothes, being told they'd be ready in a week's time, they headed out. The sun was making its way high in the sky. There wouldn't be much they'd do today. For the moment, he wanted to focus on Anya's training and getting her adjusted to using the Force and a little bit of combat before they left. Deciding to stop off for a bite to eat, Gavin led her to an outdoor cafe and ordered a couple sandwiches. Once they got what they needed, He took a seat at a near-by table. Giving off a sigh, he looked at Anya.*
"There are one things I want you to know about using the Force and a path I hope you choose to take."

Anya smiled happily as Gavin submitted his approval. "Thank you." Her smile was bright and wide. Never before had she had the opportunity to design her own clothes; her satisfaction and his approval together filled were with joy that she had yet to experience.
Slight disappointment took hold for a moment at the week she'd have to wait, but it passed with a blur. At this moment, nothing would be able to dampen her spirits. She was too high in the clouds for anyone to bring her down. Once Gavin paid for the clothes, she followed him out of the store, a slight skip in her step. The past two days had been a wonderful experience and something told her that she wouldn't have had it with anyone else. Hard times would be expected in the future, but if there was one thing that was certain, the good times would easily outweigh the bad.
As the day had gone halfway through its journey, hunger began to settle in and she could have sworn that she heard her stomach rumble. Whether this was true or Gavin simply had the same thought as her was unknown as he changed direction and headed to a small outdoor cafe. Thankful she didn't have to ask this time, she patiently waited behind Gavin as he made the order. The wait was short, much like the day before; making sandwiches wasn't a deeply involving task compared to cooking a steak. Following him over to the table, she plopped herself down in the seat across from him and began to take a bite of her sandwich.
In the midst of her first mouthful, she was forced to look up to him with curious eyes. His tone had seemed to grow firmer, much more serious than she would have expected. There were things he wanted her to know? She figured that she'd learn as time went on, but he seemed quite set on informing her now. Such timing could possibly be meant for her continued training and a mindset to keep while involved. Swallowing her food, she pulled her excitement down for a moment, responding to his words with a tone that matched his in hope to rely that she was truly paying attention to what was about to be stated.
"What is it that you wish for me to know?"

*Gavin took a deep breath, wondering where to begin.* "In the end, how you wish to live your life and what you chose to believe will always be up to you and I won't look down on you for that. But if I was to have a wish for you in seeing your training, it would be this. The ability to feel and use the Force is a gift, and more so, a privilege. Never think of yourself better than those who can't use it because at times, they are greater for it. Be humble and thankful for what you have and use it to help others. The power we have comes with its share of responsibilities. Yes, you can choose to use it for your own desires, but remember you can also be viewed a threat because of it, because it is never known what you are capable of. Help people appreciate you by serving them, aiding them whether it be in hard times like war or suffering or even in simple everyday jobs. And don't use the Force just because you can. Never take for granted your physical ability to do anything. Always keep yourself in shape and eat right. That in itself is a great reward."
*Gavin let off a sigh as he leaned back. So much had he hoped for with his own family, and even those that came after. He couldn't help but feel he failed them somehow. He was given another chance as a master and a father. He wouldn't screw it up again.* "I just hope you will grow to see the value and beauty in everything and aim to protect and preserve it."

She remained still, her eyes fixed upon him as his words came. She did not attempt to eat nor drink in fear of somehow missing something he'd say. But as he spoke, she couldn't help but smile inwardly. Even though he was speaking to her in regards to her training, his words spoke of fatherly intent to her. Even if she applied them to her practice, it would inherently reveal itself in her day to day actions and shape her as a person. He cared for her future and how the galaxy would see her and how she'd perceive the galaxy.
As he finished, she couldn't help but let her smile make its way to the surface. These were the true first words that she could see as him speaking to her as a father, even if he didn't intend to. She let her mind take hold of each word and lock it away in her heart. Even more, despite what he hoped for her, he would let her choose her path, her future and not see her any different. It only made her want to live up to his words all the more.
"I promise, I will do all I can to live by your words and live the way you hope for me."

*Gavin smiled and nodded. All his hopes would now reside in her. This was his last chance, he would not have another, he knew. He continued on with his food, contentment falling over him. He couldn't explain it, but felt a sort of peace he hadn't in some time. Once finished, he led Anya back to the hotel. Once there, he instructed her on the next step of her training.*
"You have started to be able to use the Force to lift things and move them around freely. Now, I want you to work one lifting and controlling multiple items." *He set all the training sabers on the bed, leaving her with five.* "Work at lifting all of the sabers and moving them freely."

Continuing with her meal, she savored each bite she took. There was never a need to rush through a meal, except in the case of terrible food. One could never know when they would no longer walk this plane of existence.
Though she took her time with each bite, the sandwich was quickly eaten and her drink was gone as well. Disposing of her trash, she followed Gavin back into the street. She couldn't help but dwell upon his words. She had made it clear to herself that she wouldn't use her power to make life easy, and now Gavin had confirmed her own thoughts. She wouldn't allow herself to take anything for granted, not the Force, not her physical capabilities, not her life. He had said the ability to wield the Force was a gift and a privilege, but even more, so was life. She couldn't help but feel that everything he said, while pertaining to the Force and her training, she could easily reshape to mean her life in general. She would remember that. She would not see herself better than anyone; she would do what she could to help others. She would be more, someone that people believed in and trusted. She had yet to understand enough to truly make a purpose or goal for her life, but she felt this was a good start.
When they reached the hotel, she assumed that the rest of the day would be spent training. This was good. She had been eager to continue, and with the talk they just had, she wanted to jump into it even more. She watched as he set out all five training saber and listened as he instructed her to lift and move them all freely. Closing her eyes, she let herself fall into the current of the Force. She felt it, the natural flow around her as well as the current within. She felt where the sabers were before her and began to proceed. Just as before she reached out a hand to the sabers as the energy began to flow from her to a saber and wrapped around the hilt. That part was becoming simple. Now, she lifted her other hand and followed the same approached. It took a moment more as she focused upon another stream of energy, while trying not to lose her connection with the first. Once it wrapped around the hilt, she began to lift them. At first, she thought it would have been as simple as lifting a single hilt, though she couldn't explain why. In any case, lifting more than one took a bit more focus, as you were using two arms instead of one. Yes, time made it second nature and this would be as such as well. But now it proved slightly difficult.
As she tried lifting them, she tried to keep her focus balanced between the two, though it could be seen fluctuating. Occasionally, one would rise a bit faster or one would drop a tiny bit. But they were lifted, which was the simple part of the task. She would need to move them freely as she had started to do with one hilt. At this moment though, she simply let them float, letting herself understand the flow as it was so that the use of the Force on multiple objects came easier.

*Gavin watched with a nod. She was taking it slow, which was good. She seemed to have an understanding of progression, taking it step by step. He gave her an encouraging smile as he sat on the bed and closed his eyes. It had been some time since he had truly meditated and decided now was as good a time as any. Slowly, he let himself go and become enveloped in the Force.*

Minutes passed as if tracking through mud. Her focus altered time in her mind, slowing it, straining it. It was so much more than she had thought as she tried to move the sabers, balancing the Force that flowed between each. With each step she took, she realized how much harder it was. Using her mind was far different than simply using one's hands, seeming as if trying to look right and left at the same time. When she tried to move them, they flowed together as if connected. She began to wonder if this was what it was like trying to use one's arms and legs in the few months after birth or if it was natural, making the Force the alien connection. But still she continued on, trying to disconnect her mind from the strands of energy that surrounded the sabers, splintering it, separating it. She had to let go, free herself, and break the restraints of her mind. However, no matter how much she wanted to press forward with all she had, she knew it best to take it slow. She couldn't risk breaking her mind into pieces.
Slowly the minutes counted on, in time tracking over hours. Night had set over Kiffu and exhaustion slowly played at her mind. But the endless hours thus far had blossomed new fruit as she had begun to push passed her mind's current limits. She stood there now, eyes open, watching as the two sabers moved forwards and back in alternating patterns from each other. To add to her success, the hilts were spinning circles as they moved, the left clock-wise and the right reflecting the mirror opposite. There was still so much farther she had to go, more freedom in the twin sabers' movements and then the other three that still lay still on the bed.
But time and strain had played its role, leaving her with nothing left to continue on with. She let off a faint sigh as she the the hilts settle on the bed. As her focus removed its grip on them, she stumbled back into the wall. Her breath was heavy and she had broken out in a soaking sweat. Closing her eyes, she fought to gain her balance and to slow her breathing. She needed a shower, the feeling of must and grim covering her form. Slowly, her feet carried her to the free bed to gather fresh clothes. When she reached down, she fell over, unable to stop herself. Landing on the bed, she found she lacked the strength and will to move. Deciding that she'd rest for a few moments and let her body recuperate to attempt a shower, she rolled completely onto the bed and was soon out in a deep sleep.

*Gavin had spent the whole night within meditation. It brought such peace. The long hours passed swiftly before Gavin finally came to once again. He turned to the window the see the first light shining over the horizon. He then looked down to see Anya laying there asleep. He had felt her training hard for hours before finally passing out herself. For now he was content to sit there and watch her sleep.*

When Anya finally woke, she was greeted by the bright light of the afternoon sun. As the realization began to sink in, she was quickly up and sitting on the edge of the bed. She was shocked to see Gavin simply sitting there watching her. For a moment frustration fell over her. Why had he let her sleep? Why didn't he wake her so she could continue her training? But the irritation of her feelings was quickly replaced with disgust, not for him but for herself. She could feel the grime of her sweat plastered over her form. It was then that she remembered that she had intended to shower the night before, but failed to do so as her body was too exhausted. Quickly, she began rummaging through her case and gathered new clothes. Turning to face Gavin, she threw a shirt that needed cleaning at him as she stomped passed towards the bathroom.
"Why did you not wake me?"
She bothered not to wait for his response as she closed the door and progressed with her cleansing. Originally, she had only chose to make it a quick shower but instead opted to relax in it for a bit. The steamy water eased her muscles as well as her tension. She took a few slow deep breaths as she scrubbed away the must that covered her. Several minutes ticked by before she finally stepped out and dried herself. Swiftly, she dressed herself and made her way into the main room.
Gavin still sat there watching her with a smile. Her only response was the rolling of her eyes as she stood before the bed where the sabers were. She was ready to train, to continue on and become stronger. She desired not to speak, but to solely apply action as she reached out her hands and began to once again work at moving the sabers.

It wasn't long before she was working, levitating two of the sabers before her. Through her rest, her mind had seemed to gain ease than from the prior night. She was glad for this as it would allow for greater progression. Slowly, she spun the sabers, letting them move faster and faster. In time, the spinning began to alter, twisting on multiple axis.
The minutes turned to hours as she added a third saber into the mix. The progression, while capable of greater momentum, moved slowly. She wanted to take in each detail, pushing her limits. She wanted to be the best that she could. There would be no shortcuts, no quick routes to strengthening her power. She would earn them and gain them the proper way.
Hours turned to days and before long, the week had passed. She had spent all her time in the room, only stopping to eat, sleep, and rest when she became exhausted. But now she stood there, hands barely lifted up as four hilts floated around her easily. It seemed so easy compared to when she started. She could feel the Force flowing through her and used it freely to move the sabers as if she was handling them with her hands. Letting them settle down, she sat on the edge of the bed to rest.

*Gavin walked into the room with a bag of food to see Anya resting. He gave her a smile as he set the food down on a small table.*
"I received word that your clothing was in. Eat first, then we'll head out. As soon as we do, we'll be taking a trip out to the terrain to continue training...permanently."

Jaded eyes opened and looked upon Gavin as he entered the room. She smiled as she stood to her feet and crossed the room to the table where the food sat. Sandwiches, as it had been for the past week, sat in the bag. Though the selection had become unchanging, she didn't complain. She was happy, happy to be able to eat, happy to receive such attention, simply happy to have someone who wanted her there. She took a sandwich from the bag and began to eat. Her teeth sunk into the soft bread and soon through the meat and condiments. Her taste buds danced with joy as the wonderful flavors over took her senses.
Though she heard his words, she waited to respond until after she had finished her meal. She was famished. Little did she realize how much mental exertion could affect one's hunger. Clearly, Gavin understood as he made sure that she always had something to nourish her. It would seem obvious as he had much knowledge and strength in the Force and had no doubt felt such hindrances.
Once the sandwich was finished, she took a seat upon the bed. She was glad to hear that her clothing had been finished and were ready to be acquired. However, she couldn't help but wonder what he meant about training in the terrain permanently. It was obvious that he meant they would be in the city, but what did he mean? Did he have a house out there or perhaps he planned to camp out there. Despite her efforts, she couldn't contain her curiosity.
"What do you mean when you say we will be out there permanently?"

"You'll see in time. For now, let's get your clothes."
*Gavin stood to his feet, and gathered everything they had. Once everything had had been gathered, he made his way downstairs and paid the attendant for their stay. Leaving the hotel, he made his way down the street to the shop, entering it as they arrived. The sales attendant welcomed them as they entered.*
"We're here to pick up an order for Anya Syen."

The curiosity only surged more when he neglected to tell her, only pushing it for a later time. She gave off a sigh as she began to help gather up the few things they had in the room. She packed the training hilts into her case along with the clothes that had been removed the past week. As the last of their possessions had been taken up, she followed behind Gavin as they made their way downstairs.
Standing back, she watched as he paid for their time within the hotel, but her mind was elsewhere. So many things swirled around her mind, like a raging storm. What lay ahead of her? What all was there to learn? But the question that had begun to take root was who he was. What kind of man was he really? The endless questions pressed down upon her until she shook her head, forcing the whirlwind of thoughts to subside. It had only been a week. It wasn't like she was going to learn everything in such a short time.
As Gavin finished and made his way out of the hotel, she carried on in step behind him. She began to wonder if she'd see this place again and when. This had been her home for so long, she couldn't imagine staying anywhere else, even if just somewhere else on the planet. But she did want to see new things, and so her dreams were beginning to come true.
Entering the store, she followed the woman after Gavin told them the order they came for. She stopped by the fitting rooms as the woman went into a back room and returned with a few boxes. Going into the fitting room, she took her time, trying on each piece to make sure it fit well. Satisfied, she opted to wear her brown outfit. She exited the fitting rooms and thanked the woman before walking up to Gavin.
"So, what next?"

*Gavin smiled as he looked at Anya in her new clothing. Despite being so young, she held such maturity in her eyes. It was something he couldn't explain, but her ability to understand and take things in was astounding. He only hoped that despite the speed of their training, she would take things with patience. Acquiring power quickly always hinted at possible problems.*
"Follow me."
*Leaving the shop he made his way down to the spaceport where his ship awaited him. In the times he left to get food, he'd stop by and check on the ship. He had also taken the time to fix up a room for her. It had been a bit of a walk, but soon they arrived. Standing at the entrance to the spot his ship waited he gave a smile.*
"There she is."

Anya blushed slightly as Gavin smiled at her. It could have been just an ordinary smile, but to her, there was something in it. A light or perhaps a fondness, giving a feeling of happiness. She smiled as he motioned for her to follow and followed behind him, a skip coming to her step. It had only been a week and she had never felt so happy. In a week, she felt like more had happened to her than the past ten years. The part that made her smile brighter was a single thought; it was only just beginning.
They continued on down the street, taking a route that she never seen before. More than likely the orphanage never brought them this way was because there was nothing of interest t the children. But she had seen the ships come and go, arriving in the direction they were now headed. At first, she was curious as to why they were going this way. This route wasn't a quick or easy way into the wilderness. But her mind began to piece together the reason why they were coming this and soon remember he traveled a lot on his ship. This realization filled her with excitement. She had always wondered what it was like upon one of the ships that came here. Now, after so long, the opportunity was finally here.
As they made their way into the spaceport, her curiosity couldn't be contained any longer. As they walked along, she moved from opening to opening, seeing the ships that lay inside. Each held marvel and beauty. Seeing Gavin turn into one doorway, she hurried beside him, stopping when he did. When he motioned to his ship, she could only gaze upon it in wonder. She made her way up to it, looking it over the best she could. It was so much bigger than she expected. Much of it didn't make sense to her at the moment, such as the shape, the engines, or even what kind it was, but one thing she did like was the color. It was of a dark gray accented in dark blue stripes along the hull.
After spending some time looking around it, she made her way back Gavin before turning her gaze back to the YT-1930. She could tell by the way he spoke it meant a lot to him, something he was proud of. Hopefully, in time, she would also get a ship of her own and visit new places.
"It is amazing!"
