"I'm glad you like it." *He thought of telling her about it, but changed his mind. Telling her about would be over the top as she wouldn't know anything about ships at the moment. He simply motioned for her to follow him inside. Once aboard, he closed the boarding ramp and proceeded to the opposite side of the ship. Along the far wall, rested three rooms, in which he entered the middle one.*
"This will be your room. It's not as grand as having a room in a house, but it does well enough." *He walked back outside and pointed to the next room.* "My room is right next door. And here." *He then pointed right across from her room.* "is the refresher. This will be your home for a while. When you finish putting your things away, meet me in the cockpit. Just go back the way we came and it will be the large room on the left.
*He rubbed her head with a smile before proceeding to the cockpit. Taking a seat, he began going through the systems and bringing the ship to life.*

It wasn't hard to notice that Gavin wanted to say more. She heard the breath that came as if he was about to speak, only to offer a quiet sigh. Most likely, he was going to tell her more about it but figured she wouldn't understand any of it. This fact was true, despite her ability to understand fast. However, she hoped he would explain more to her about ships and how to fly in time for it interested her greatly.
As he made his way to the ship, she followed behind, letting her eyes continue to look the ship over, amazed at its beauty. She was so caught up in the rest of the ship, she almost ran into the back side of the loading ramp. She stumbled back a bit and looked to Gavin, hoping he didn't notice. Seeing he was already halfway up the ramp, she gave a quick sigh of relief before make her own way to the top. Meeting him at the top, she watched as the ramp closed itself behind her. She was now inside the ship. She had wondered what it was like inside a ship, but she had to admit to herself, it wasn't quite what she expected. She thought it would be grand and beautiful like the exterior, but instead it was much more open, allowing for easier access to some areas for maintenance.
Her attention was directed back to Gavin by the sound of the floor beneath them and saw him walking. She quickly fell in step behind him as the moved along. She expected him to tell what everything was, to give her a tour, but he remained silent. It wasn't until they entered a small room that he finally spoke. As he told her it was her room, she looked around. The room itself wasn't so bad, being much more covered, giving a greater sense of home. Following him outside again, she looked down the hall and across from her as he pointed out the important places she'd need to know. After he told her where to meet him and he left, she went on to unpack her clothes and put them away in the storage units that were held within the room. Luckily, she didn't have much to put away and quickly made her way to the cockpit.
As she entered, she couldn't help but notice the amount of chairs and the flashing lights and buttons. Without the proper control, one might find themselves pressing them all out of sheer curiosity. She continued to the front where she took a seat next to Gavin as his hands moved along the console. She could feel the ship come to life, hear the engines activating. It gave her a rush as she took a deep breath.
"So where are we going exactly?"

*Gavin looked to Anya as she sat down beside him. he had finished making his final checks and was ready to take off. He thought on her question as the ship lifted off the ground and took off from the hanger. Leaving the city, he headed out into the wilderness.*
"I think we'll take up residence close to the abandoned academy. That way if need anything for your training, it will be in close reach."
*They continued on, a much shorter time than before when using a speeder. It wasn't long before they passed over the old ruins and found a clearing not far from a forest. It would be a good spot, a clearing with a forest and the academy nearby. Landing the ship, he powered down the systems and headed out of the cockpit. Making his way out of the ship, he stepped away from it a bit before turning to Anya.*
"It's time to begin the next step of your training."

Anya watched with excited eyes as the ship lifted off the ground. She had never been so high, and here she was now, watching the ground shrink before her eyes. While not a lot of power was applied to the engines, she was pushed back in her seat as the ship headed out of the city. She had never experienced what being in a ship was like, but it was a rush. She watched as the terrain sped by, moving so quick it was gone in the blink of an eye. Despite it all, she barely felt as if she was moving. She leaned forward from her seat as she took in the view.
The old academy. Just a week ago they had been there, gathering the training sabers as well as visiting the hall of memories. One would wonder why they'd be so close, but Gavin gave the perfect reason. As she thought on it, she couldn't help but once again imagine what it was like to wander the halls when it was active and how different her life would have been. Would she have still met Gavin? He had said his brother ran the academy before so there was always the chance, though they have never made the connection they had. No, despite the loneliness of the past ten, she believed it was better this way.
It wasn't long before the ruins of the academy came into view and was just as fast gone beneath them. It was at that time the ship began to slow and lower its altitude until it finally came to a stop with a slight jolt. She watched Gavin's hands move across the console again, this time the systems died. As Gavin made his way out of the cockpit she followed him to the exit ramp, where he lowered it and continued out of the ship. She followed close behind until he finally stopped. When he spoke of her training continuing, she couldn't help but feel excited.
Her imagination ran wild in wonder at what was next. She had learned to feel the Force and how to use it to lift and move multiple things at once. What else could she learn? What else was there to learn? Of that, she felt the sky was the limit. Despite her excitement, though, she responded with a calm tone.
"What is it you wish for me to learn now?"

"You've learned to lift things and move multiple things at one time. One part of the next step is enhancing upon that. You ability to lift things is not limited to small items. You can lift far larger and heavier things." *Gavin lifted his hand a bit and the ship lifted itself off the ground.* "I would not recommend trying to lift that right away, but slowly work at heavier things, and in time, multiple things of a heavy nature." *He lower his hand, letting the ship settle on the ground again.*
"Aside from that, we are going to begin focusing on using the Force to enhance your body. Two of the first abilities any Force use learns is Force Jump and Force Speed. As each name suggests, Jump greatly increases how high you can jump while speed increases your running speed. To achieve this, use the Force to enhance the strength of your muscles. Not only that, you release a small burst of the Force when you jump or run. When you using speed however, to effectively use it you must also allow the Force to augment your mind, letting you process things fast, which would slow the world around you."

She listened closely to his words as he spoke. There was not a thing she wished to miss, less it hinder her training. When his words expressed that the simple ability she had been working on could go even farther than she could imagine, it alone brought about excitement. Her excitement was only enhanced as she watched him lift his hand. At first, she didn't know what he was doing until she heard the creaking of metal behind her. Turning, her attention was lifted to the sky as she saw the freighter much higher in the air. Jade eyes shone with wonder as it slowly began to settle upon the ground once again. Quickly, she turned to Gavin as he gave his recommendation. With her fists near her face, she couldn't hold back a bright smile as she nodded.
"I understand. Take it slow and work my way up."
She was about to take off in search of things to practice lifting when he continued to speak. He had more she wished to work on, something she had yet to try. She forced herself to calm down as he spoke, wishing to fully understand what it was she was to learn next. With each word, she took it to heart and mind. In a way, it seemed as if it would be harder than simply lifting things. Then it was but picking something up, changing nothing about it. Here, she was meant to use the Force to enhance herself, make her able to do things she normally couldn't. The idea was just as exciting as everything else, though there was a hint of fear. What if she hurt herself, overexerted the Force, damaging her muscles. Forcing the thought from her mind, she reminded herself she needed to believe in herself. Gavin did, otherwise he wouldn't be training her.
Since she had already learn how to lift things, she opted to begin working on the new things. Closing her eyes, she began to reach out, feeling the Force moving around her and through her. She focused upon the energy that was moving about her legs and focused it into her muscles. She took it slow and easy, letting her body soak in the feeling. She started to feel it before long, her muscles tightening. Whether they were growing or becoming harder, she wasn't sure, but in any event, the best word she could choose was primed. She bent down, prepping herself for the jump. Just a simple upward jump would be enough for now. Making her jump, she let the Force push itself out of her, propelling her upwards. Opening her eyes as she did, she watched as she jumped higher than Gavin heads, just enough to land on his shoulders if she wished. As she came back down, she collapsed as she was unused to doing such a feat. She only laugh as she sat up and look to Gavin.
"I did it!"

*Gavin nodded.* "Very well done. It is quite impressive to me that you were able to get that height on your very first try. Remember that you height and distance you can jump will increase as you become more skilled. Also, making sure your physique is the best it can be helps as well. This abilities only augment your natural ability. So the better you can do it normally, the better it'll be when you add the Force."
*He looked at her with a smile, then looked around. Figuring it'd be best to just let her go in any direction without limits was the best option, he looked back to her.* "Now try using Force Speed."

With a nod, she closed her eyes and began to focus upon the Force once again. She imagined that in time, her ability to harness the Force would come much easier, allowing for such abilities to be activated as if second nature. It only made sense for what use did they truly provide if deep focus and control would always be necessary?
The Focus formed within her legs once again, though she didn't stop there. Gavin had said to make full use of it, not only did the speed need to be increased, but also the way the mind perceived its surroundings. Taking deep slow breaths, she focused, letting the Force open her mind. Unsure if it was truly working, all she could do was make the attempt and hope that all did as it was supposed to. She opened her eyes and looked at Gavin for a moment before turning to her left and taking off in a run, letting the Force that fed her muscles unleash in their strength.
She only made it fifteen feet before she realized what was happening. It wasn't even a second before she made the distance, signifying it had, indeed, worked. But that was the length she could manage before it faded. Turning back to Gavin, her eyes widened as she saw what it meant to see things slower. He was turning to look at her, but his movement was slow for a second before speeding up. As everything came back to normal. She felt out of breath and a bit lightheaded. Closing her eyes, she let her self fall to the ground in a sitting position, trying to focus her mind once again. Unlike any of the other abilities she had just used, it was this one that seemed to take its toll.

*Gavin walked over to Anya and looked down to her with a smile.* "Once again, you managed to use and do well for your first attempt. I can also see you're experiencing the side affect of Force Speed. Just liking running normally, it will take its toll on you. This will improve with time, though you will always find it does wear you out with extended usage."

"I wou..would never...have noticed."
She stopped speaking and focused upon regaining her breath. Minutes passed before she felt well enough to stand. Slowly, she pushed herself to her feet, taking a minute to breath so her lightheadedness could pass. Looking to Gavin she gave him a smile. Part of her couldn't help but feel proud of herself for impressing him with her ability to progress quickly. But she quickly scolded herself for her thinking. Despite her understanding and capability to learn fast, she needed to take things slow and progress step by step. If there was anything that he seemed to press, it was that. Perhaps progressing quickly had consequences.
"I want to try lifting something heavy now."
She didn't wait for Gavin to speak as she began looking around and noticed some debris nearby. She ran up to it and looked around. They were close to the academy ruins so it was most likely parts of the building. Her eyes moved from piece to piece until she found a part that seemed to work well for a first try. Closing her eyes, she reached out her hand to it, letting the Force wrap around it. At first, it didn't move. Instead she felt a bit of a strain on her mind. Her muscles in her arms tensed as if she tried to lift it physically. For a moment, she stopped and looked at the piece as she tried to figure out why it didn't move. It didn't make sense. The Force wasn't physical and allowed for things that a person couldn't do alone. Gavin even demonstrated what the Force could allow and she didn't feel it stopped there.
Bit by bit, she tried connecting the dots in her mind. Perhaps there was a trick or a way of thinking that changed how one used the Force. Maybe in thinking about what one was doing or what they were moving or creating, it became harder if they thought of it as it was, letting the difficulty take root in the mind. Perhaps if she saw it as something lighter, such as her sabers, it would be different. Deciding to give it a try, she reached out her hand and closed her eyes once again. As she tried to lift it, she let her mind see it as something different than a heavy piece of debris and more as a small stone. Her hand began to twist and fingers curled as she lifted her hands. Opening her eyes, she saw it hanging in the air before setting it down. Turning to Gavin, she smiled with excited eyes, but said nothing.

*Gavin clapped his hands lightly at the display. In this case, she had found a hurtle in not being able to lift the piece of debris. When she wasn't able to, she thought the process through and figured out what the possible problem was and corrected it. Not only was she capable of understanding things at a level far beyond her years and capable of learning fast, she was and problem solver and possibly analytical. He then began to wonder what type of fighter she would be. Based upon what he had seen so far, she'd turn to be a cautious fighter, analyzing her opponent so she could better oppose them. If this was the case, he'd have to keep a close eye on her during combat, and even more, her trials.*
"You have done very well today, Anya. I'm quite proud of you. For today, let us rest. You have laid the foundation for the next steps of your training. A very good start."
*He put his arm around as a father would and led her back to the ship. Once on board, he closed the boarding ramp. Leading her back to her room, he stopped at the door.* "It is getting late. Let us get some sleep and tomorrow we'll start early." *He smiled before kissing her head, then made his way to his room, though he left the door open. He imagined she'd want to shower before bed. Once she was done, he'd tuck her in before crashing for the night himself.*

Happy that he was proud of her, she leaned against him as they made their way towards the ship. As he spoke of rest, she let off a long yawn. Despite how little she really did, she couldn't help but feel exhausted. Looking to the sky, the sun hard already made its way low into the horizon. Soon, darkness would fall and another day of happiness passed. During there walk, she felt herself go and moved along by the simple desire to make it to bed. She was brought back to reality at the sound of the ramp closing.
As they stopped by her room, she smiled under the kiss and watched as he went on to his room. Moving into her own, she grabbed a pair of sweat pants and a tank top and went to the refresher. There, she let herself go to the warmth of the water that poured over her. Every time it was like the first time and she never let the enjoyment become everyday to her. Before long, she finished her shower, dressed herself and made her way back to her room, where she jumped in bed and was soon out.

*Hearing the door to the refresher open, Gavin made his way from his room back to Anya's. Walking inside, he saw that she was already in bed and asleep. He walked over to it and sat down beside her. He watched her for a moment before leaning down to kiss her head and make sure the blankets were close to her. Heading out of the room, he stopped at the door and looked back to her for a moment more before closing the door and heading back to his room. Removing his boots and vest, he laid in bed and soon was off with a smile.*

The hours ticked by in a quick pace through the night. Anya's sleep was peaceful, devoid of anything to cause her to stir. But in time, she finally woke. Making her way from the bed, she stretched as she looked out of the small window in her cabin. It was still dark, but faint hints of light could be seen, signifying the coming dawn. Quickly she stripped from her sleeping attire and dressed in her training clothes.
Opening her door, she snuck to Gavin's door and listened, hearing nothing. Clearly he was asleep. Quietly making her way to the other side of the ship, she lowered the ramp as she had saw Gavin do and proceeded outside. Somewhere in her, she desired to keep training, to continue improving and pushing forward. During her time at the orphanage, all she wanted was to be a regular girl. But after she met Gavin and learned about what lay inside her, that desire shifted. Now she wanted to be the best she could, to stand side by side with her ancestor. As such, he time would be dedicated to training. She needed to take it slow, progressing step by step, but it didn't mean that training was only done in small bits throughout the day. From this morning on, she would push herself, getting up early every morning and train throughout the day. That was her goal, her wish, her desire.

The sun of Kiffu hung high overhead, casting its brilliant light upon the ground. It was a day like every other day, bright and peaceful. For most, it was a time for work, others a time of enjoyment and peace. However, not everyone upon the planet was carrying on with the normal day to day routine, at least not in the eyes of the normal man.
Falling back, Anya let herself lay upon the ground as she panted, sweat pouring off her face. She had been hard at her training since dawn, stopping only enough to grab a drink of water. It was the routine she had chosen for herself, to push and give it all she had from the morning until the evening, going until her body gave then going at it again once she was rested up a bit. Opening her jaded eyes, she looked to the sky above her and took a moment to let go, listening to the sounds of the wilderness around her.
It had been two months since Gavin had brought her out into the wilderness. On that day, Gavin had furthered her training, teaching her new ways to use the power of the Force that ran through and around her. Ever since then, she had devoted her time to training, working hard as to master her abilities and take them to the highest level possible. At first, Gavin was edgy about it. True, he had hoped to teach her and make her strong, but he wished a decent life for her. But her had been her choice to do so and after days of trying to talk her out of it, he finally gave in to her way. So for two months, she had focused her time on mastering her telekinesis, her Force Jump, and Force Speed. In her times she wasn't training physically, she was in meditation, trying to connect herself to the Force better, as well as to understand its flow at a greater level.
Only two months since Gavin had adopted her and she had changed so much. When at the orphanage, she desired nothing more than to be a normal child, something the other kids liked. At first, she never understood why the other children hated, until the morning before her adoption. It was then she realized her power, though she didn't know anything about it. When Gavin adopted her, he explained what her power was, as well as her ancestry. It was then that everything changed. She desired to become strong, to take what she thought was a curse and make it a blessing, for her and others. And with that, she had chosen to try daily with all the time she had.

*Gavin exited the ship with a couple glasses of water and took a seat next to the fire where a couple slabs of meat and stew was cooking. He took a bite of the meat and the stew, satisfied that they were done. Looking over to where Anya lay, he called out.*
"Lunch is done. Come an eat."

Forcing herself to sit up, she look to where Gavin was. Already she could smell the delicious aroma of the meal that was cooking. She rocked herself backwards before kicking herself to her feet. She paused for a moment, taking in a deep breath and dusting off her clothes. Once she was somewhat lean, she walked over to Gavin and took a seat.
During their time in the wilderness, Gavin barely made trips into town. If he did, it was for essential supplies. Otherwise, he'd go out at least once a week took hunt. This allowed for greater amounts of food that could last some time as well as was it free. She had shown interest in learning to hunt, and as it happened, Gavin had agreed to teach her. Despite wanting to learn herself, he stated he was would have taught her anyways. One needed to learn t survive in the wild with nothing and hunting was one of the many skills needed.
As she sat down, she glanced at Gavin, her eyes full of wonder. There were a great many things that. He said he would explain with time, but the curiosity was far too great to resist. She wished to know more about him and how he knew the things he did. Looking to the ground, she forced up the courage to ask.*
"So..where did you learn about all this, the Force that is?"

*Gavin stopped as she asked her question. He had yet to tell her anything about himself, no doubt she was curious. For a moment, he wondered why it was this question of all that could be asked, though it made sense as that's what she was focusing on. Grabbing a stick with some meat on it, he handed it to her.*
"Where I was born, we are all taught about the Force from the beginning, as soon as we can understand. For me, I was almost three. " *He grabbed a separate stick and poked at the fire a bit.* "However, I didn't learn about what I'm teaching you now until I was thirteen. I was Tatooine then and was found by the Jedi. They saw my potential and took me in. I trained there until I was nineteen. But I've trained and learned many things from many places since then. Some of those things you will learn yourself, once we get you passed the basic things that is."

Anya took the meat and took a bite of it. When he had first began to cook the remains of the animals he hunted, she had been edgy about eating. She was left with little choice, however, when he said this was part of the training and wouldn't be going to get food in the city. Despite her feelings at the time, she had come to enjoy it. Gavin did add some flavor and there was a far different taste than that of food bought from the markets. Something about it tasted fuller and much more pure.
Listening upon his words, she began to think about where he was from. Unfortunately, from the tiny bit he said, she couldn't picture anything. She had only experienced the culture of Kiffu, and more so, from the perspective from and orphan. That gave very little in regards to imagination. But to think he began to understand the Force at the age of three. She could only wonder what it would have been like for her now if she had started then as well.
When he spoke of being found by the Jedi, she recalled hearing stories of them. It seemed there were so many types of Force users in the galaxy, so many that truly understanding everything was much too difficult. As he went on to explain he had learned from many different places and things and that she would, in time, do the same, she gave a smile.
"I hope I can learn to be the best I can and leaned all that you did." For a moment she thought on something. "Did you train Tyra that way?"

*Gavin looked to Anya for a moment before gazing at the fire.* "I taught her many things, giving her an ideal look at the galaxy and the differences in the orders as did the academy. However, I did not have her learn from others of other orders. That is something that you will be the first to do from all I have trained."
*His mind went back to those he had trained before. There were only a handful, though he cherished each of them. With each step did his training increase, seeking to make the next stronger than the last. And did each take their own path, for which he was grateful. His gaze then turned to Anya. There were many words to speak, many things he wished for her to understand. Though such would normally wait until she had gained some training and even more, found something precious, perhaps now would be best for her.*
"I want you to listen well to what I'm about to speak, for there is much and each is important to the future of your training. Normally, I'd wait until you've gathered more training and found things that were important to you, but I wish for you to keep them in your mind as your training progresses." *Taking a breath, he closed his eyes as he began to speak.*
"The world around us. There is such beauty in it when we actually stop and look. Yes, we all say it. I've said it many times before, but everytime I stop and actually look, I am in awe at what I see. The only thing in this universe I'll ever call "perfect". Look and take in everything. In everything, there is a lesson to learn. These lessons can shape you, strengthen you, give you knowledge and wisdom. Each of these is important to finding true strength and being true warrior.
A true warrior knows his strengths, his weaknesses, and his limits. He knows when he should quit and when to press on. He knows the reason for the battle he fights and uses it. He knows control over his emotions and when to use them for strength and when they would be a burden in battle. He knows and values life as it is. He does not try to change anything, not even himself, for if he does, he begins to lose everything that made him. His resolve will be gone, his will altered, his heart changed.
Search deep inside you. Past the flesh, the mind. Deep into the spirit and heart of your being. Find what drives you. Find your passion. Why do you fight? What reason do you carry those blades, engage others in battle? Find these things and meditate. Focus and let them rise within you. When you fight, let these things thrive in you. Fight with passion. Fight with honor. Fight with every living breath you have. Never give up. Regret nothing, fear less.
Time will go on and your reasons to fight will change as new reasons come to play, either by seeing new things or meeting new people, but should they come from your heart, they will be a reason of who you are. You have ideas, now you must shape those ideas within you. Make it an oath, and code within your mind so that it may be a more firm sense of fighting and living and not just ideas that come and go. Engrave it into your heart, mind, body, and spirit. Let each of these become one with the other and not separate entities within on being. That, too, brings great strength.
