The words of the Emperor weren't much of a surprise to Jenia, given that she had overseen some of the fleet movements herself, given that reinforcements from Yaga Minor and Muunilinst were sent by her towards the border regions. The conflict at the Coalition's borders was brewing, Jenia had heard some of the reports upon the Neimoidian purse worlds and other regions, where smaller skirmishes had errupted.
Before the Coalition could become a similiar threat towards the Empire like the Galactic Alliance, they would have to torch down the hydra's body. Yet there were some concerns, which she eventually brought forth, when the Emperor ended his speech.
"We certainly agree that the Coalition stands in our way as one of the last obstacles that prevent us to restore order towards the former core regions of the Empire and annexing their gouvernment will hopefully put an end to the last rebell cells, that still attempt to operate against us since the Fall of the Galactic Alliance", the silver-haired Grand Admiral spoke out loud, so that everyone in the room could understand her cold voice, "We shouldn't however underestimate our enemies, given that earlier reports from Imperial captains stated, that some of their newer ship types seemed to be built in cooperation with the Mon Calamari and other former supporters of the Alliance.
The Five Worlds are unlike Dac are region from where we would have to spread out most of our ships, giving the enemy possibly an advantage when it comes to intercept some of our fleet movements. While they will most likely fortify the heart of the gouvernment, Corellia itself, we should consider that our siege might meet resistance from technological advanced ship types with which most of our captains haven't made expieriences with yet. Unless Imperial Intelligence wishes to correct me on that point, of course.
To secure Corellia we need to blockade it's four neighbouring planets as well, if we don't want to fall into any trap of the enemy, when the mainfleet continiues it's advance on Corellia. That is though should we choose Corellia as our target for the confrontation."
Her mind drifted onto another important location along the Corellian systems that held probably as much value as Corellia itself. Fondor was the second-most influential system within their gouvernment from what Kasalle had heard and it wasn't too surprising. Important Super Star Destroyers like the famous Executor were constructed on their shipyards and even by current time standards the qualities of their shipyards hasn't diminished.
Jenia assumed that Fondor would either become the actual main priority target, should the Emperor suggest to break the neck of the Coalition by another angle instead of waging a direct attack, wheras otherwise it will become the potential last retreat point of the Coalition, should the defense of the Five Brothers fail.
There were opportunities and risks in both cases, yet Jenia had no doubts that the Emperor would know the best decision. Arcavius has most likely adviced him before the meeting and the Fleet Admiral's knowledge would certainly come in hand to crack open a tough nut like the Corellian Coalition. Not necessarily because they couldn't be overwhelmed, Jenia assumed even that the enemy could hardly muster up enough resistance against the First Order in order to withstand a long-scale invasion. It was rather of key importance to deal with their resistance efficiently. Cutting down as many potential losses for the Imperial side as possible.
This would proof to be the actual difficulty as this was where the actual challenge would begin. The First Order had to show the galaxy that they can easily overpower any enemy they face as an invincible force. Sacrificing ships just because of petty arrogance was the last thing that Grand Admiral Kasalle wanted to see. Corellia had to fall in the most efficient way possible, as only then even the last rebell soldier will realize that there is no hope withstanding the absolute order within the galaxy.

Nicademus turns slightly in his chair to address the Grand Admiral. Among the three appointed, Jenia had remained as the sole holder of such a title. She had proven to be as cautious as the Old Guard Needa and as aggressive as Petrovsky. Among the military structure, she was only outranked, in both reputation and skill, by the Emperor, who held the title of Supreme Commander concurrently. Her equals were the Grand Marshals Baltasar Delvardus and Thomas Zahn. Many, in the navy, looked up to the Grand Admiral for her abilities and loyalty. A model Imperial.
Imperial Intelligence has been gathering intel on the situation of the Coalition and... it seems to mirror that of the Galactic Alliance.
The Imperial waves his hand slightly, causing unclassified documents to appear before those gathered. These were details that were reconnoitered by Imperial agents, sympathizers, and collaborators within the Coalition government and military. Ever since the resignation of Marcus Starmane, and the minor term of his successor, Salvor Argon, politics seemed to have gone rather off the boat. Extremist elements were rising, refugee issue growing, politics were slowly turning away from the progressive and outward stance to something more... isolated. The Coalition was being hampered at many levels internally. It was ripe for an attack.
The political situation is only growing worse. It seems the Prime Ministers are not as able as their predecessors and the power structure is being eroded from within. It's military is finite compared to the Galactic Alliance, who still had some bite. I have been told that losses will be minimal and our attack will be like a lightning strike.
The Imperial ruler was confident in what could be done and what could be achieved. Corellia's existence as a beacon of democracy would be stamped out thoroughly and the galaxy would kneel to the galactic order imposed by the Empire. Their greatest achievement was within their grasp. Keying the holodisplay back to the map of the planned attack which had two arrows; one aimed at Fondor and another at the Corellian heartland.
Any further statements? Otherwise, I will get to the tactical arrangements and plans.

Thomas surveyed the room when the Emperor asked if there were any further statements. Jenia was certainly right to be cautious when it came to the announcement of such a daring invasion. The Corellian Coalition had risen from the ashes of the Galactic Alliance and had tried to position itself as the replacement power of opposition. But like many before it, their "democracy" was destined to fall apart and crumble. Rule of popularity merely allowed an avenue for corruption to take root and profit those whom had dark intentions. Meanwhile, the First Order's brand of Imperialism had held back the chaos of "democracy" and ensured that only those worthy of their position and power were elevated.
The only stain upon this perfection, were the Knights of Ren and the Imperial Knights. While he had certainly seen displays of the Force which put his belief in its existence beyond debate, he still held his doubts about its... sentience. Like any source of power, it was a stronger source of corruption of motives. Which was why he did not trust any of them to sit the Throne. Palpatine, for all he had done for Imperialism, was a lesson in why Force Users were not to be trusted. In the end, his own power and egotism brought about his downfall and that of the Empire. One day, these so called Knightly Orders would bring about a similar fate for the First Order so long as they were given the free reign they had and were allowed to take hold of the Throne.
Re-focusing his attention, it was clear no one else at the meeting seemed to harbour any additional concerns I believe we can proceed with the tactical arrangements, sir...

Nicademus proceeded to bring up a roster of warships and their designated fleets. An immense number were being assigned to this operation, namely due to the reputation of the Corellian Sector. It had once staved off an attack by the Galactic Alliance of old and even managed to retain its autonomy under the Empire. The Imperial was not going to take this lightly. Soon, some names began to pop up, causing those present to bring up the details on their consoles and datapads in order to review the assignments. There were a few of notable mention among this arrangements.
Grand Admiral Kasalle, I lend you the flagship of the Empire, Ars Moriendi, for your attack on Fondor. You, and the Knights of Ren, will strike, from our hidden hyperlanes in the Deep Core, at one of the founding members of the Coalition. Another flotilla will move to block any attempts to reinforce the Tapani Sector offensive.
The galactic map came up and refocused on Rendili, an arrow pointing at the Corellian Run which ran right into the system that the hyperlane was named after. This was the next thrust which would see the Emperor commanding the effort from another flagship, a Praetor Mark II, christened 'Victorium'. Among those on this assignment included Grand Marshal Zahn and Brock Ferrum. It seemed Baltasar was being left behind to ensure logistics to the front and oversee affairs of the Empire.
From the 'Victorium', the second thrust will come from Rendili and seek to cut reinforcements from the Corellian Sector. We must show this Coalition that they are fools for what they stand for. Democracy... is nothing more than a weakness. True power lies in our militarism, our nobility, our heritage!

Lowering her head respectfully in terms of the Emperor's demands, Jenia wasn't necessarily surprised about the decision to launch an imperial attack upon Fondor directly. Yet the command bestowed over the fleet's most famous flagship was something else, for nowadays not many captains and admirals could truely state that they have ever commanded a vessel of the Executor-class. An honor, that could hardly be topped and moreover the largest ship, that she would ever command. "I will ensure that the demands of the First Order bestowed upon me shall be fulfilled, my Emperor", she therefore stated truthful, her mind already continiueing the strategic thought-strings regarding an attack upon Fondor. There were now many options available with a Super Star Destroyer at her disposal, yet also much to consider. Some of the most famous commanders of these vessels were tragically also the most unfortunate ones with Admiral Piett at Endor being the most known example. While the Ars Moriendi had compensated on some of the known weaknesses, given that the First Order's engineers had improved upon the design, the Grand Admiral was still careful and knew that other ships could easily exploit the large size of the Dreadnaught. Especially the new Corellian ships could become a nuissance, should their fire power be underestimated. Whatever would happen, Jenia swore herself, that she would do the job properly. Like on Mon Calamari the First Order would remain victorious. And thus finally unite the galaxy under the banner of the one true Emperor, Nicademus Delvardus.

Harnan had sat silently for much of the meeting, preferring to let Nicademus lay bare his plans and for the Imperials to... bicker amongst themselves. Despite his feelings toward Delvardus, he did have to admit the man had strategic timing on his side. The Coalition was weakening as its political structure crumbled and divisions continued to deepen between the inner and outer rim worlds. The Jedi had also suffered losses in their numbers. Where they had once been plentiful across several worlds, their numbers now dwindled. If there had been any time to strike at the Coalition, now was the opportune moment.
He grumbled then, as Nicademus announced the Ren would be deployed to Fondor. While it was possible the Jedi on Corellia would dispatch agents to Fondor, he doubted their presence would be overly abundant compared to the Temple itself. Tactically, it would make more sense for the Ren to strike at Corellia. But Nicademus either believed the Imperial Knights would be enough to protect him there, or he wanted to appease those whom looked down upon the Ren. What ever the case, he was certain the Imperial Knights would falter. There was a reason the Ren were known as the Sword If you insist the Ren deploy to Fondor instead, then that is where we will focus our forces. I will send Lady Neith to co-ordinate our strike with Grand Admiral Kasalle. I trust that will be fine with you, Grand Admiral?

Noting Harnan's request, the Grand Admiral nodded solely, given that there was no reason to disagree with him on this proposal. She had rarely spoken so far to the leader of the Knights of Ren and probably it was for the better. While more tame in comparison to the legendary Darth Vader and the Inquisitorium, she nontheless respected their order, knowing that they had the means and power to make themselves known within the First Order. Yet, unlike her own family, she stood on the Emperor's side, no matter the respect.
"Unless the Emperor has other plans, Lord Ren, there would be no objection from my side", she answered neutral, yet neutral - there was no room for insecurities in her position anymore, "Time will be the essence if we want to take down the planetary defences that shield Fondor and thus open up the way for an invasion. Therefore good coordination will be required." Looking into the names of ships, that were intended for the operation, Jenia began to analyze the situation briefly, taking also the potential strength of the Fondorian system into account. "Once we leave the hyperspace corridor, we will mimic a similiar formation like on Dac, if the rescources are available for it", she then continiued with a potential proposal, highlighting a few ships, "As the most durable ship the Ars Moriendi will be the spearhead of the operation, flanked by various types of Star Destroyers. We will take most of the blows, yet cover the rear, similiar to how we handled the situation at Dac. However, the Coalition will likely expect us to go with a similiar approach, even if we surprise them on a false foot. I propose therefore that we will leave portion of the arrowhead behind, keeping an interdictor class vessel like a Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer on this seemingly exposed flank side. And I additionally request at least two experimental Star Destroyers of the Onager-class to take part within this operation, for I intend them to enter the fight with a Resurgent-escort, once we get into port range with most of the gun fire being focused on us. Both vessels are supposed to bring down the orbital defenses of the planet from afar with heavy artillery bombardement. No matter how strong the Coalition's fleet over Fondor will actually be, it will force them to split up their forces, thus giving us the main advantage over the Baron and his followers. It will be a demonstration of the First Order's superiority and a brief reminder, that we are the true successors of the Empire not only by name and the means of territory. All that needs to be ensured though is, that we will only aim at military targets - the only bombardement that I wish to bring down upon Fondor is the steel rain of drop pods and imperial shuttle barges so that our ground forces can secure the planet for the First Order. Let our test be a reminder, that we have the means to vanquish their opposition whenever we wish to do so, while showing their population that we are merciful. Men like Tarkin and Palpatine would have targeted their cities instead... we can do better."
It was a slight shift from her previous position in regards of the usage of super weapons, yet the Grand Admiral eyed both the Emperor and the Knight of Ren with a stern look in her eyes. While incidents like the one of Naboo had damaged the reputation of the First Order, Jenia knew that her request beared certain risks, yet could be seen as a reasonable solution. While like the Death Stars the Onager-class would be powered by kyber crystals, they were much weaker in terms of fire power and moreover not a massive weapon of mass destruction, that intended to threaten the entire galaxy. Yet where the first Emperor had abused them in order to create images of fear and rather caused the spark of rebellion to ignite even further, Nicademus would be in control of this new generation of warfare and could aim it at his direct enemies among the stars. Moreover it would reduce the casualties immensely, given that the Coalition will know immidiately with what they will be dealing with. Jenia wouldn't even be surprised, if Fondor and their gouvernment would surrender immidiately, once they got rid of just one of their stations by the simple means of siege breakers. Unlike Endor, the First Order could show that there is no hope for a rebellion - yet hope for those, that accept the Emperor's verdict and kneel in front of him.

He had no objections to the battle plan that Jenia laid out for Fondor. Naval strategy was not his strong suit, so he would defer to the Grand Admiral on this matter. The plan she had come up with seemed relatively well thought out and there was little he could find fault with. As long as they both knew the primary objective, then everything would be fine once the battle was underway. After all, most plans rarely survived first contact with the enemy. They just had to make sure not to lose focus on what needed to be done I have no objections. The Ren can take command of the Onagers and their escort forces. Contrary to popular belief, we're not out to destroy everything like the Sith...

"These popular beliefs I intend to weaponize, for the Ars Moriendi will send a system-wide message on all open channels, where we will warn Baron Gorgano and his followers that we can repeat this lesson over and over", she stated dry, so far appreciating the approval of the Lord of the Ren towards the laid out details within the plan, "In either way the Onager-crews are only supposed to break orbital defense targets, that would be targeted by our Star Destroyers anyways. Everything else can be handled afterwards by our ground forces and I suspect that the fear of our enemies, that we might consider bombarding the planet, will be enough to shorten up the siege. They don't have to know how far we will actually go and this very fear will keep them in check, even after we have left the system and dealt with the Coalition's followers. Therefore we are on similiar terms here, Lord Ren."
She made a brief pause, listening to eventual critiques and responses towards her laid out concept, before she began to talk about another point. "Given earlier reports from skirmishes around the Coalition alligned systems, including the battle report of the Regalia at the Froz system, we have learnt that the Corellian Coalition's fleet strength relies on a mixture of mostly Mon Calamari ships and new types of Star Destroyer-like ships, that can rival the regular Imperial II-class Star Destroyer and it's escort fleets easily. A more notable detail though in Captain Cassio's report for myself though was the mentioning of the Coalition utilizing communication jamming vessels, most likely some of the more smaller vessels", she explained eventually, keeping a code cylinder with highlighted informations from the report ready, "For the upcoming battle I suggest to outfit some of the regular TIE/fo squadrons with at least one TIE/sg Space Superiority fighter, better known as the TIE Signal. While the TIE Signals won't necessarily make an impact to the whole battle as a star fighter, they can be used to fight fire with fire, targetting with their sensor jamming devices either enemy frigates or corvettes, so that we can maintain smoother communication channels between ships and intercept enemy sabotage attempts like the one at Froz more easily. While I do not advocate this to be the enemy's main advantage over our fleets, we can at least counter this nuissance, should the Coalition repeat their old tactics against our fleet. Wheras it can always be of great advantage for us, if we disturb their smaller ships in the overall picture of the battle."
Whether the Emperor would be convinced of this small change towards the fleet's equipment or not wouldn't really ruin the greater picture of the plan. In terms of fire power alone they all knew that the First Order would vanquish the Coalition easily. All that mattered for the Grand Admiral was to think of additions towards the fleet, that would minimize the losses on both the navy's side as well as the army's side. While their own troops were still efficient when it came to subdueing the enemy, there was always more room for improvement.

Standash's glowing blue hologram had sat mostly silent for this meeting. There was a faint hum from the projector. She had been reading the tea leaves and had been working tirelessly making sure the Humanitarian fleet was ready for their role. Few were privy to this information, but this event was one of the reasons why Standash had put the Fleet into motion years ago in this very room. Others in this room were experts in tactics and battles. Standash focused instead on people. She focused on how they think, how they will respond to actions. Emotions were her battlefield. Corellia was a very special world with a very unique people group. They were almost impossible to truly concur. In their own way, they will rebel and cause problems for everyone that had tried to rule them in the past. Democracy, monarchy, or dictatorship, it didn't matter to them. They would not be ruled. They also hated being normal so they couldn't lead, not really. She knew the Coalition was destined to fail because of this, this was one of the deciding factors to her joining the First Order. She was committed to the Galaxy, to the people, all of the people in it. That had not changed. She had beaten them on her battlefield before, one of her greatest victories. Though it was also one that was bitter-sweet. She was silent, listening, and waited for the battle plans to be finalized. Her focus on what everyone was saying was clear as was her concern, even with the less than the crisp image of the hologram. She was very worried about the Ren being involved, of course, they could never really be made to care about clean up... She actually laughed to herself, the Ren and Corellians were very similar people.

Fiora had sat patiently and quietly, letting her Father lay forth his attack plans and assigning out targets for various commanders. When the Ren were assigned to attack Fondor with Grand Admiral Kasalle, she had expected an outburst from Harnan. It was certainly true that compared to the stories of the past he was a changed man, he still held a deep set dislike of Imperial Officers. The fact he seemed to accept their assignment so calmly concerned her. Either he intended to let out his discontent later within one of the training rooms, or he had some ulterior motive. While the former seemed more likely, the later was still a possibility. Her thoughts were soon brought back to the present as Jenia discussed deploying TIE Signal's to help fight against the Coalition's signal jamming tactics Forgive my interruption, but... well... myself and Neith can link through the Force. Should the Coalition try jam our communication lines, then myself and Neith can communicate between our two forces. From there... Grand Admiral Thrawn used to use line of sight communications to signal movements to his fleet. Perhaps we could have similar strategies in place for coordinating our ships in that situation?

Turning her attention towards Fiora, the Grand Admiral noted the critique, yet the cold, stern look on her face remained, as she seemed to think briefly regarding an answer. "A Super Star Destroyer like the Ars Moriendi is prepared for situations like these, your highness, especially when considering that it is an upgraded version of the Executor-class that has adapted to the First Order's visions,", she responded respectful towards the Princess, "Given my analysis of various battle reports it doesn't seem to be a common tactic among the Coalition fleets, yet I am aware of the Grand Admiral's approach on battles, for these are nowadays the standard lessons on the Imperial Academy for fleet officers. The clock system, that I utilize for quicker starfighter squadron reactions, is one of the techniques that are inspired by his teachings, including the aforementioned Line of sight communication signals. Thus forgive me, if I do lack an understanding for the Force and the sorcery tied to it, for we will command thousands of men within the upcoming battle. Stormtroopers and naval officers alike. Unless the men under my command can learn these abilities simultaneously, it would be of great help for them, yet I trust in more practical methods, that aren't tied to an old religion and can be understood properly by every single imperial officer and soldier alike. "
It wasn't necessarily her intention to sound hostile, given that Jenia was patient within her explanation. Yet the Grand Admiral herself knew that both the girl and her had different expieriences. While Fiora might not even see that she could solve problems more easily, where the regular human being would fail, Jenia knew that the Force and those, that can wield it were a whole world to themselves. The Empire had adapted over time to train force users among their own ranks and without Palpatine, the very founder of it's origins, it wouldn't exist as an idea either. Yet Jedi and Sith had always been allies and adversaries to the Empire and it's successors at the same time. One of the many important lessons learnt from the Thrawn campaign was in aftermath that the Imperials could weaponize these force users as much as they could as easily become their puppets. Wheras both the Fel and the Delvardus dynasty had proven, that even a regular being that was incapable of wielding the Force, could not only rule over a caste of force users, but as well remain in power even without the Force's support alone.
For her this power was an enigma, yet one that she didn't mind as long as the Imperials had controll over it. Someone with the mind of Thrawn probably would have had a better understanding about it than her, though Jenia didn't necessarily mind that. If force users could do anything better than the average human, she wouldn't be in the position of Grand Admiral right now. And therefore she didn't bother with the expertise of others regarding things, she didn't understood anyways.

Harnan shifted his attention to Fiora as she put forth her suggestion to the battle plan for Fondor. It wasn't a bad suggestion, at least in terms of being a fall back strategy in the worst case scenario. However the Grand Admiral decided to take it a bit offensively in her response. Those ignorant of the Force and the power it held were many. Jenia was just the latest in a long line of Commanders to share such sentiments. He was not overly concerned though. Such sentiments would only prove useful later. For now, he placed his arm across Fiora, stopping her from making any retorts. Better that he step in here and now There is a technique none of your officers or soldiers need to learn simultaneously that will be a boon in the upcoming fight, regardless of the Coalitions tactics. One which the Princess and Neith are both proficient in... Consider it an additional contribution from the Ren in aiding your superior practical methods... Harnan was not overly politically adept, but in truth, Jenia was not a politician either. They were both military tacticians, just on different fronts and areas of speciality. As such, political nuance was not particularly needed

The discussion and conversation between the Grand Admiral and the Master of the Ren brought back some memories from a time long ago now. Once, over the planet Taris, his abled commanders, Harlan Petrovsky and Garrick Needa, gave differing opinions on the Mon Calamari offensive. Garrick urged caution while Harlan proposed they attack head on. In the end, the Emperor praised both; 'be forward like Petrovsky, but cautious like Needa.' The times had certainly flown by. At that time, Octavian and Fiora were still in the womb of their mother. Remus and Yvaine not even conceived. As their voices spoke, a glaze went over the eyes of the Imperial as he reflected on those years.
After Harnan spoke though, Nicademus raises his hand, attempting to silence any further discussion. His eyes looked over at the holoimage of his daughter, Fiora. Like her, her brother, Octavian, was to be participating in this campaign as the Crimson Command was joining the fleet under his personal command. His eldest children were joining the fights and conflicts that ensured the Empire's dominance. His eyes then turn to the Grand Admiral.
I have heard that such things as Battle Meditation and Battle Meld are quite effective tactics of Force Users. Communicating through the Force can only be obstructed by the Jedi. There will be none at Fondor as they keep to Corellia proper. Our intelligence indicates that the former ruler, Mike Frantz, has since returned to the academy located on Corellia. It is an advantage that is good to have.
Nicademus remarks to Kasalle. Not chastising her, but rather informing her of the boon being offered by Fiora and her colleague, Neith.
In this battle, more of the next generation will be making their names known and serving the Empire as they were trained to do. My daughter offers her Force abilities to aid in communication. My son plans to lead his squadron into the fray to perform his own deeds in the name of our nation. Even my nephew, Roland Ferrum, will be participating with his own squadron. If only Remus, Yvaine, and my niece Amaris were older... they'd certainly would want to serve their country as my eldest will do.
His gaze turns back to Fiora, giving her a nod of approval. There was a glance to the other side of him afterward, giving another nod of acknowledgment to his son, Octavian, who was present at the meeting. The young prince was in his Imperial Knight armor having recently been fully elevated to the rank. This was likely first of many to come for both of his children, considering their age and coming experiences.
Nicademus would not hold back his children, and his extended family, from what they desired to do for the First Order. If they so wished to serve their nation by fighting at the frontlines, then that will be their decision to make. After all, Octavian and Fiora would need the experience. Especially his heir, the Crown Prince. This was a time for him to create a reputation as the next ruler of the Empire. Fiora needed the same reputation as a prominent leader too. For one day, she would be the sword of the Emperor and the Empire as the Ren proclaimed, so many years ago.

The Grand Admiral lowered her head in respect, once Nicademus finished with his intervention, remaining unusually silent. "As you command, my Emperor", she answered faithfully, leaving for anyone on the council no doubt that her true loyalities lie with the Emperor himself. Not that it was necessarily a secret, given that those that served under Jenia usually are surprised how much in line with the actual gouvernment's laws the Muunilinst oversector tends to be, even going that far of the Grand Moff putting even restrictions upon the Kasalle Company, should her own family disobey the Emperor's law. Some called it zealous, on a similiar level like the cultists, that once worshipped on the plazas of Muunilinst the statues of Palpatine and prayed for his return, yet others knew that it was the system in which Jenia truelly believed and that a benevolent Emperor like Nicademus was more of a testemony towards the First Order's capabilities, where it even outshined the original Galactic Empire. Devotion like this was rare and thus not surprising for a person on a higher rank.

Stanash watched the exchange. She felt for Fiora and Jenia. The girl was young, she would be capable in combat Standash was sure, but she was not ready to present ideas at a war council like this. Harnan should have taught her better, or this was part of his plan. Jenia, while being a brilliant tactician she lacked political savvy. Standash liked Fiora, the girl was smart, caring and was raised not to view herself as superior because of her connection to the Force. But, in the time she had spent with the Ren, SHe seemed to be losing a bit of that. Standash agreed with everything her friend had said, at least privately. She took evaluation of everyone present at this meeting. The Hologram did make it a little difficult to see everyone, the ones behind people were not normally visible. She only now noticed the Prince.

His glanced toward Nicademus, as the man's hand was raised. Like a good pup, the Grand Admiral fell into line immediately, accepting the man's word as law. She was a capable commander, and Harnan had no doubt she was preparing and planning for everything. He merely needed to use hers and the others ignorance for a much greater plan however. He inclined his head toward Nicademus then That they will be. It is far more valuable to give them a chance to make a mistake that they can learn from, than to force them to sit on the side lines idly and hoping they learn from theory. I think that concludes any planning for Fondor, for the time being... Their battle plans were drawn up and fall backs had been discussed. Now they needed to prepare their forces for the practical tasks ahead. At least now any further discussion about the blockade could be undertaken. Or anyone else could interject their own plans or ideas

The Imperial Capital was abuzz with the news of the Coalition's demise. Although many citizens welcomed the destruction of the Corellian-centered government, there were demonstrations, in the streets, that showed that there was still sympathy towards democracy. Given Coruscant's history as the capital of various democratic nations, it was to be expected. Imperial security troops, alongside riot control Stormtroopers, moved through the streets to disperse any violent protests and contain the others. It was all done to ensure the degree of order and stability that the First Order had enjoyed for so long. Citizens were arrested and detained if they resisted. Crowds were gathered to promote Imperialist agenda and shout over their counterparts.
However, despite this, the mood of Coruscant was highly in the favor of Imperial sentiment who truly welcomed the recent martial blitz into the southern parts of the Coreward territories. HoloNews feed of the Battles of Fondor, the Invasion of Selonia, the Skirmish at Nubia, and the climatic clash over Corellia. Of course, the latter was altered to not show the destruction of the Ars Moriendi by the propaganda department. As a result, the center of power, the Imperial Palace, was alive with activity as the propaganda machine worked hard, the officials remained diligent, and notables came to visit for what they anticipated to be a speech by their Emperor, Nicademus Delvardus.
Their assumptions were true. Within the room of the Supreme Council, surrounded by his top commanders, advisors, and courtiers, the aging Emperor sat within his seat, contemplating the speech that was to be given. It was a monumental event of their history: none stood in their way now. None could tend with their might. The First Order had achieved greatness, after coming so far from being a minor power that controlled Yaga Minor and the recently devastated Muunilinst. They had control over many star systems, commanded hundreds of legions, yielded a vast armada of warships, and held power over the Jewel of the Core itself. Only a few could truly understand what he was to say, many could merely speculate. His eyes gazed at one of the First Order banners within the room, taking in the sight of it before looking at holoprojector before him.
Silence fell as the Emperor of the First Order rose, ready to speak the pinnacle of his speeches. The one that will truly shake the galaxy.

There was a silence in the room where one could hear a pin drop.
The First Order represents the ever-continuing cycle of change and progression!
So began the speech of Nicademus as his voice rang across the HoloNet waves that made up the Imperial media channels of the Empire. Imperial Intelligence monitored these channels, of course, but these were the civilian frequencies where the Emperor spoke to his people, his soldiers, and his nation. As he grew older, his speeches did not die, but his public appearances lessened. The Emperor did not wish to cause fear within the minds of the public, so still spoke his words and attended ceremonies and organized events, holiday or otherwise.
The sky is the limit as the saying goes. Yet we reached beyond that sky for the stars that made up the heavens. And even then, the stars are innumerable and without a cessation to their boundaries. As we reach further, we have found that there is not limit to progress, no limit to enhancing ourselves and evolving further. Stagnation leads to decline, decline leads to devastation, devastation leads to extinction.
A blue image of his face spoke to the gathered crowds while his voice was carried to the barracks of soldiers, the offices of companies, and even into the private homes of families and citizens. It was said that today was to be as special as any speech by their Emperor. Some quietly muttered that Nicademus loved just hearing himself talk and, perhaps, that was true, but the Imperial believed in a public leader, not one who hid behind lieutenants and henchmen.
With the destruction of the Coalition, we have achieved a new level of greatness, achieved a new milestone in our progression to even greater heights! To greater power and wider authority! To better peace and more firm security! To a better tomorrow and a more glorious future. The First Order has managed to defeat its enemies time and again. We have suffered defeats, but we have always come back with victories.
There were murmurs in the crowds now across many worlds. Rumors of the Ars Moriendi's destruction at the hands of the Jedi, which was mostly covered up by Imperial Intelligence. The official report stated that the vessel was overwhelmed by the defensive systems of Corellia's shipyards, similar to what had occurred at the Battle of Fondor in 41 ABY during the Second Galactic Civil War. The Fondorian fleet had hidden within their dockyards, utilizing both their weapons and the docks defensive systems to rain hellfire upon the invaders.
Our achievement in the destruction of this foe is thanks to the contributions of our citizens! Our victory is due to the determination of our soldiers and the skills of their commanders! An Empire is made of its people and defended by its soldiers. Without them, there is no nation... no... means to project authority within this galaxy. For nothing would exist.
Nicademus pauses, his hand coming into view as he clutched air quietly.
In honor of this achievement, of our efforts, of our contributions, today will be a day remembered as equal to that of Empire Day. Of many times others have done what we achieved and become legend. Today, the First Order declares its sovereign authority over the galaxy and its desires to see the stars united! Today, we become legends! We become supreme! We become absolute! Today, we celebrate our decades of work for generations to come! Today... I declare myself Galactic Emperor of a renewed Galactic Empire!
Across the planets of the First Order, citizen alike roared with approval at the declaration of their ruler. Diehard Imperialists, loyalists of the Delvardus regime, and more would celebrate for days to come of what was just spoken. A renewed Galactic Empire. And yet, while many basked in its glory, just like many times before, it would not last for long.

The next phase of the ceremonial process, in the elevation of Octavian to the title of Emperor, came within the room of the Supreme Council. It was quite packed with senior officers of the Imperial Military, leading officials of the bureaucracy, and notables of the Empire's nobility. These represented the many faces that made up the subordinates of the government, those who performed duties ranging from commanding garrisons to leading fleets to administrating planets and even performing diplomatic and commercial roles on behalf of the Empire. It was here that Octavian, accepted by the Knights of Ren, the 501st Legion, and the Imperial Knights, stood with a handful of high prestigious individuals.
Grand Marshals Baltasar and Thomas Zahn stood with the Grand Admiral Jenia Kasalle. Brock Ferrum, along with Roland, Roderick Rus, and others stood to the other side. Even the aged Julian Arcavius, the respected commander of the late Emperor, was present, standing behind the new Emperor. Such faces, given their reputations and notoriety certainly drew eyes, both present and through holoimages. This second phase represented the 'Acceptance of the Government and Military' to the elevation of Prince Octavian as heir to his father. There were certainly Delvardus loyalists that were quite pleased with a succession not seen since the Fel Dynasty. Even the hardcore Imperialists were pleased to see the Empire continue under yet another Delvardus. But there were certainly those, among the crowd, that were reserved and unsure. The death of the founder would certainly kindle ambitions and cause problems in the future.
Octavian would look among the faces, all of them a mixture of young, middle-aged, and old. Greens and veterans, the newly risen and the long established. It was well known that he had popularity among the rising stars and younger officers. A handful of the veterans truly had respect for the young ruler. And that was something that Octavian was going to utilize in his speech to those gathered.
When my father came from the stars to land upon Aargau, he was no more older than I was.
A mere five year difference given that Nicademus had been in his early thirties while Octavian was late twenties.
He was unknown to such persons as Xeonon and Gabriel Solomon and all of the officers who followed Cade Fel before his disappearance into the Unknown Region. Yet, look upon what he created. From such humble origins, as an Eriaduan native, to an Emperor that dominated the galaxy and proved his leadership through action and word. I am unknown to many of you... but just as my father grabbed the reins of power and lead by example, so too will I do the same.
Confidence would come with action. There were times that Octavian showed his father and it was something that he wished he had more of, but when it came, it proved to be when it was needed. There was still shadows of doubt and uncertainty that lurked within his mind... a shiver within his soul that made the Imperial wonder if he could truly be the Emperor that his father knew he would become.
I am my father's son. I will be an Emperor that this is needed to move forward. Support me in the great endeavor of a new era, a new reign, a new chapter of our nation, and we will not falter. Help me ensure that the legacy of my father, and that of which our forefathers contributed to its survival, will always be the brilliant beacon that it is today.
And with that said, the oaths were given, both with a willing and loyal heart as well as one that bowed the head, for now.
