I checked some other canon bombers of similar shape, and you're right. Length has been increased to 19.5. I feel it should still be smaller than the VCX-820 (20.2 meters).

Deleted the drop pod as special gear, I realized I forgot to subtract the extra point for maxing out the offense. So let's just assume the 5 for offense covers all of that.

Just to be clear, the drop pod and spotter droid are canon, but there is very little information available about their capabilities.
Edit: I'm fine with removing that as special gear, if there is no disagreement.

YT-5100 Shriek-class BomberShip Class: Heavy Starfighter Ship Role: Bomber Ship Length: 16.5 meters Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 5 Speed (S): 2 Special Gear: 1 (Ejectable Bridge) Description:Designed specifically to provide a bomber capability to the Five Worlds, the YT-5100 was shaped like a smaller version of the YT-1300 light freighter, however with a central nose cockpit instead of the cockpit offset to the starboard. Their armaments included frontal torpedo tubes, concussion missiles, a top-mounted quad laser cannon, and a bottom-mounted bomb/spotter droid drop pod. They had three engines, granting a decent amount of agility despite their weight and slow speed. Much like how the stock YT-1300 had a removable cargo pod between its mandibles, the bridge of the YT-5100 can be ejected from between the mandibles as an escape pod, carrying the pilot and the gunner to safety, away from the rest of the ship. The first recorded usage of Shriek bombers in battle was by Panther Flight at the Battle of Tralus in 40 ABY. Their deployment against the Galactic Alliance caused considerable confusion, as older-model sensor systems identified them as typical YT-class freighters. The subsequent barrage of bombs from the Shrieks' drop pods was devastating. Armament:(1) Quad laser cannon turret (rotating, top-mounted) (2) Proton torpedo tubes (front-mounted, 3 torpedoes each) (4) Concussion missile launchers (side-mounted, 2 missiles each) (1) Drop pod (belly-mounted, capable of carrying a wide array of thermal and kinetic bombs) Hyperdrive: Class 1.8 Crew:(1) Pilot (1) Gunner/Missile-man (1) Spotter Droid

As someone who used to be an expert on Corellian ships, this is possibly the most heavily armed Corellian freighter (in canon), so having a very high rating is plausible.

YT-3000 Light FreighterShip Class: Support Class *Ship Role: Mixed-use, High-value Transport Ship Length: 24 meters *Agility (A): 4 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 1 (Passenger capacity exceeds 5 -or- Cargo capacity exceeds 200 tons **) Description:Originally designed and test-piloted by then-Jedi Knight Kel'Al Raganella as an all purpose transport for Corellian political, military, and Jedi leadership, the YT-3000 modernizes the classic YT-series freighter for the JvS current day. This light freighter borrows heavily from CEC's decades of engineering on the reliable and popular YT-2400 model, but extends the length by 5 meters *, and adds a third bracing arm on the cockpit. It features a saucer-shaped reinforced double-layered hull, similar to other YT series ships, and a starboard-mounted command pod. It comes standard with a number of features which required aftermarket modifications in the past, such as upgrading from twin to quad laser cannons and adding a small tractor beam generator for loading cargo (can pull anything up to roughly the size of a heavy starfighter). The YT has been thoroughly modernized for the current era, including the latest in CEC shielding, sensors, and targeting and navigation systems. Armament:(2) Quad laser cannon turret (rotating, one top, one bottom) (3) Concussion missile launchers (2 front, 1 rear) (1) Tractor beam generator Hyperdrive:- Class 1.5 - Backup Class 15 Crew (1 minimum):(1) Pilot (1) Navigator (2) Gunners (3-8 **) Passengers Cargo: 135-215 tons *** Like its predecessor the YT-2400, the YT-3000 is wider (31 meters) than it is long (24 meters), so the width actually determines the ship's class. ** The internal cargo hold is reconfigurable, allowing for either a full load of 215 tons with 3 passengers or fewer, or a reduction to 135 tons with room for up to 8 passengers.

=Theomiir Starstrider=As he closed the final distance to the High Port, the Jedi Knight reached out to the Force, calming himself, and then carefully and cautiously suppressing his presence in the Force, as his master's brother had taught him so long ago. He did not completely close himself to the Force, but he narrowed his presence enough that the average Imperial Knight would (hopefully) write him off as someone with a little bit of potential, but no actual power or formal training.Reaching one of the outer spheres that served as a docking facility for common off-worlders (those without the wallet size for a dedicated spot provided by their bankers), Theomiir set the Phoenix down in the first unoccupied spot he could find, and winced as one of the landing legs collapsed with a groan. Scraping its belly against the deck, the G9 finally came to rest slightly off-center of the designated spot, but close enough that he would probably get away with it."Bother." Shutting down the engines, he peered out of the cockpit cautiously, looking for some sign of where he should go next.

The welcome sounded about as warm as he has expected, which was to say, not very warm at all. But Theo didn't mind. He had successfully infiltrated far more hostile worlds, with the intention of doing them genuine harm. In this case, he meant the planet and the Imperials no harm, and his only deceit was in concealing his Jedi allegiances.=Theomiir Starstrider=Acknowleged, Suzerain. He replied simply, seeing no reason to continue the conversation. He was slightly disappointed by the redirection away from the surface, but that was unimportant compared to his quick success in securing an appointment with the Imperial Knights. Easing the controls forward, he changed course for the orbital station known as High Port. The freighter shuddered from nose to stern, and balked quietly for a moment, before changing course to follow its insistent pilot. The shining spheres of High Port loomed larger and larger, like a clump of silver bubbles floating above the planet.

The arrival of the large Mon Cal style cruiser was carefully tracked by the Royal Navy as it approached the planet. The unnecessary provocation of the Sith against the peaceful world remained a sore memory and a clarion call to watchfulness among the defenders of the planet. Since the collapse of the Republic, the Naboo had taken an independent approach to their own defense, and all outsiders were treated with more suspicion that previously. One exception, however, were Corellians, as their old ally had been one of the few Core worlds to take a genuine interest in the plight of the Naboo during the invasion. Most of the Corellian forces had arrived too late to help, but at least they had come.=RNSF Control=Vigilance, this is Lt. Lagan of the Royal Naboo Security Forces. We are honored by your visit, and you are cleared to land at the Theed Spaceport. There was a brief moment's pause, and a pop or two of static, then he said, A Representative of the Queen will meet you there.[ Graemon Gorgano | Jacques Hu ]

A dilapidated G9 Rigger-class freighter practically fell out of hyperspace, decelerating rapidly as it approached the outer edges of the banking world's planetary defenses. Any scans of the craft would show that it was nothing out of the ordinary: stock armament (that is to say, light), a few suspect places in the armor, and signs that it had been maintained painstakingly, but by a relative mechanical amateur. The transponder, however, would be much more interesting, to anyone with the ability to obtain the proper data feeds. The craft was registered to the Jedi Academy on Corellia, but if one dug deeper, it had been reported stolen nearly two years ago. As for occupants, there appeared to be just one: a human male.
=Theomiir Starstrider= Muunilinst control... The black-haired young pilot said. This is the Purple Phoenix, requesting landing clearance for Harnaidan. I wish to speak with the Imperial Knights.

Long after the battle had concluded, and long after the galaxy's attention had receded from Naboo, the cracks of distrust remained like scars in the psyche of the Royal Navy as they conducted cleanup operations in orbit. Originally, this had started as a recovery effort aimed at the wreckage and the starfighters that the First Order had left behind, but later it moved to simply clearly space debris from the planet's crucial spaceways and orbital defense emplacements. Simultaneously, repair efforts were commenced on the Golan space defense platforms which had taken such a heavy beating from the unexpected attackers. Experts from CEC were flown in specially to oversee the repairs and assess any remaining structural deficiencies from the heavy fire the platforms had taken. After months of effort, Naboo's defenses would soon be reaching 100% operational capacity once more.

Boop. Sorry I've been slow to get this thing going. Should have time later this week. Well, THAT was an epic fail. I am never saying this again. Murphy's Law and all.

Actually, creating tech for the Mandalorians to fill in some of the gaping holes in what is available in canon is a great example of what I had in mind. That should be 100% legal, you would just need to make sure that your new Mando ships were equivalently powered to non-Mando canon examples.

I've always felt that custom tech should fall into one of two categories:
1) "I want tech that's equivalently powered to canon tech, but I want my own custom brand/version/manufacturer." In this case, you're basically cloning the canon powers and abilities of the tech, you just want it to look different. That means the specs should not exceed the capabilities of canon equivalents, and when in doubt, the capabilities should be less than the canon equivalent.
2) "I want to build a new model in an existing canon line of tech, with realistic upgrades," e.g. a new Corellian freighter in the YT line, or a new starfighter in the X-wing series. In that case, you should start with the canon specs (if there are multiple older versions, from which a trend can be derived, that's even better), and make small additions or changes in certain areas. If you want larger modifications, then you need to substitute some features by adding/removing others, for example making a ship longer to carry more people, or adding bigger engines to compensate for more weight. The end result, your YT-1310 or whatever, would have better specs than the YT-1300 it's replacing, but those specs should still be in line with other canon equivalents, e.g. the YT-2400 or a non-Corellian freighter of equivalent size. In other words, you can't customize your way to a new release in a canon line of ships that exceeds all canon examples for the ship class, but you can exceed that specific model's current canon specs.
When I used to build custom tech for the Corellians, these were the rules of thumb I (usually) used, even going back to JvS 1.0.

I intend to start writing the Naboo again as well. Krennel Gulch has contacted me about Naboo possibly joining his Outer Rim Confederacy. Of course, I will have to see how that compares or conflicts with other alliances, but I'm badly in need of new storylines and new people to write with. All my characters are buried in the baggage of unresolved storylines with characters that aren't around anymore.

I actually was aware of that plan weeks/months ago but I had forgotten all about it since then. I was looking at Naboo as the beginning of something, and not the end of a larger conflict.

Alright, I think we worked things out. I've been a little too focused on Naboo to remember what the larger plan from weeks/months ago was going to be.

Sounds good. But we should make it legit IC information, not just assume. I'll try to fit some information acquisition into my very overdue cleanup and response posts, coming soon.
