After exhaustive engineering reviews, construction began upon the first Corellian Fast Attack Frigate, with the long, wedge-shaped hull laid out and welded together by the skilled CEC workforce with exacting detail. Hull plates were cast and tested, and rejected, adjusted, cast, and tested again. A long, flat plane took shape, over 300 meters in length, with a tapered nose, and support structures stabilized it while the integrity of the simulations was validated against the real item. Sparks flew, smoke drifted, and the air was filled with the racket of industry and men at work.
Elsewhere, weapons specialists worked to refine the frigate's signature weapon: the dorsal heavy ion cannon. Various barrel designs were tested, but at the scale proposed in the schematics, accuracy and safety both proved to be an issue. The initial targeting system, scaled up from much smaller weapons, was scrapped, and a new one designed. But simulations revealed a new flaw, in explosive detail. Upon conducting several thousand simulated firings, it was found that such a powerful ion blast, released so close to the frigate, tended to cause friendly fire damage to the frigate as well as its target. Lengthening the barrel ultimately solved both problems, and the safety weakness was removed.

Corellian TracerShip Class: Starfighter Ship Role: Starfighter Ship Length: 12.0 meters Agility (A): 4 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 4 Special Gear: 1 (Astromech) Description:A delicate blend of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shielding, the Corellian Tracer was the product of years of careful engineering refinement by Jedi shipbuilders Alex Carter and Tagert Hunt, in concert with the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Their handiwork eventually made the Corellian Tracer the fighter of choice for the Corellian Jedi's Berzerk Squadron, and later, some members of the Sandpanther Squadron. This preference arose because the Tracer packs heavy firepower, but it still has enough speed to hold its own in a dog fight, or defend itself between strafing runs on an enemy target. The body of the Corellian Tracer resembles the X-wing, but with a solitary, downward-curving, and stationary S-foil on each side. Designed as the backbone of the Five Worlds' starfighter corps, the Tracer was envisioned to preform either in a lone squadron, or as the primary starfighter screen for a fleet of capital ship. Armament:
(4) Heavy laser cannons (2 on each wing-tip, linked-fire and stutter-fire capable) (2) Proton torpedo tubes (embedded in the nose/body, 3 heavy proton torpedoes each) (2) Nano-missile launchers (embedded in the nose/body) Hyperdrive: Class 0.75 Crew:(1) Pilot (1) R-series Astromech (optional)

=Vance Waterpool=An hour later, the lawyer exited his meeting with a smile plastered across his face. After a thorough technical review, the engineers had agreed to acquire the rights to the Fast Attack Frigate. CEC would take the prototype schematics left behind by Kel'Al Raganella, and develop the unique design into a viable commercial product. Vance was certain that the vessel would attract the near-immediate attention of the Corellian Defense Forces, which were undergoing a major overhaul of their star fleets. In fact, the engineering team had been so pleased, they had asked him at least three times, what else was he sitting on from CEC's golden age under Tagert Hunt. Vance blinked as a strong ray of Corell's light, entering the lobby through a, high slotted window, suddenly caught him in the eye.=Carla="How'd it go?" The Duros receptionist asked, looking up from the numerous notifications blinking on her terminal. =Vance Waterpool=Vance laughed. She already knew the answer to that, because the engineers had been busy scheduling meetings when he left them. "It went very well, thank you." =Carla="I thought so." She winked, then ironed the smile out of her face as she took on a more serious tone. "Say, have you heard from the Raganellas, at all?" S he looked around, and then lowered her voice. "Not that it's my place to ask, but there's tons of rumors on the HoloNet ... and I just wondered ..." Her voice trailed off.=Vance=Inwardly, he winced. As trustee of the Sempreverde-Raganella Trust, if anyone outside the Jedi leadership knew anything, it would be him. But he was just as in the dark as everyone else. He knew most of the rumors were nonsense, but he couldn't prove anything. But it was also his job to be politic. "I think Master Raganella would say to trust in the will of the Force." He replied smoothly. "Carla, I'll see you around." Waving his hand over his shoulder, he turned and exited the building.

A Bes'uliik starfighter broke out of hyperspace on the edge of the Tatooine system, and paused for nearly ten minutes, scanning the system and the traffic entering and leaving planetary airspace. Apparently satisfied with the outcome, the pilot of the V-shaped Mandalorian craft eased her forward to join the handful of other craft in a thin, ragged line, descending toward Mos Espa Spaceport. The two women on board stared down as the surface came into view. Unlike most travelers arriving on Tatooine today, they were not dismissive or condescending in their assessment of the barely-civilized outpost. Compared to where they'd just been, Mos Espa was a paragon of civilization. =Jordan Halcyon=Hours later, a second ship exited hyperspace on the extreme outer fringes of the the Tatooine system, arriving along a different vector - one from deep within the Unknown Regions. Powering down everything but the life support systems and basic maneuvering thrusters, the pilot of the YT-3000 class Corellian light freighter settled in to watch, and wait. Not only was the Golden Wolf masking her transponder signal, but the unmistakable white exterior had been repainted. The green and gold trim and the Jedi emblems were also gone, and the entire hull had been repainted a drab, earthy brown color which gave the ship an unfairly derelict feel. The Jedi Knight sat next to the comm, and settled into a deep meditation, prepared to wait days if necessary.

Hey, sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to this until now. I'm spread a little thin right now, so I'd be hesitant to start anything on a new planet. That said, if you're looking for Jedi training, find your IC way to Corellia and Mike Frantz or I can help. We are working on increasing activity at the Corellian Academy, including training for all skill levels, and dispatching Jedi on small missions around the Corellian sector.

Hangar
Dec 16, 2020 17:24:51 GMT -8
Post by Kel'Al Raganella on Dec 16, 2020 17:24:51 GMT -8
The shuttle over from Coronet City stopped in the hangar of the Jedi Academy to offload a few passengers. In the middle of the pack, emerged a tall, blue Twi'lek, her lekku wrapped in strips of leather that buckled around the harness on her head. She was traveling light, just a duffle of clothing and belongings was carried on a shoulder, while her white robes carried the dust of long travel on the hem. Her hood was up over her lekku, and she stopped to read a map to find her destination.
Raylia had never had the pleasure of a visit to Corellia though she was uncertain of what she might find here, only that the Force had lead her this way. =C3-P9=Catching sight of the Twi'lek, the academy's silvery protocol droid approached the visitor. One of its duties was as a greeter, and its programming noticed that Raylia had lingered in the hangar after the other recently arrivals from her shuttle had departed in various purposeful directions. She also carried a duffle bag, which implied her presence was more than a momentary visit. Its servomotors humming as it hurried over to her, the droid rounded the side of a parked shuttle, and stopped two meters in front of her.Good afternoon, ma'am. I am Cee-Three Pee-Nine. It said in a prissy, masculine voice, tilting its head to the left. Begging your pardon, but may I be of any assistance?

=Theomiir= He was walking a fine line between truths and falsehoods in concealing his reasons for visiting Imperial space, but the Jedi Knight had decided not to outright lie to the Imperial Knight. Instead, he would let the full truth come out slowly, and use it to test the man's reactions, and his attitudes toward the Jedi and toward helping Theo with his twin missions.
Smiling, he extended his right hand. "My name is Theo. I'm investigating the disappearance of a Jedi Master. I've exhausted my luck with the Jedi Order. They either don't know anything more, or they are unwilling to help me further." He cringed inwardly. That sounded worse out loud than it had in his head. "So I thought I'd try my luck here instead."
He paused, and took a deep breath. "This is one of the only clues I have found so far. Can you tell me anything about it or it's former owner?"
He opened his left hand, offering the object to Brock. It was the severed lower half of one of Kel'Al Raganella's lightsabers, with the blue pontite crystal missing. The severed edge was smooth and clean, as if done in one solid cut. This would no doubt prompt a hundred questions, but Theo wasn't going to volunteer the answers. He wanted to see how the Imp thought.

[ Lawyer's office, Downtown Coronet. ] =Vance Waterpool=Vance Waterpool, the new legal counsel for the Sempreverde-Raganella Trust, leaned the high back of his chair against the window sill of his 26th floor private office, and squinted at the legal-sized holobook held in his left hand. The documents and contracts he had inherited from his predecessor seemed simple enough, but the elder Raganella had asked him to confirm all of its provisions and its compliance with local and Republic business law. There were the certificates denoting Marie Sempreverde as sole heir to her father's stake in the Corellian Engineering Corporation, and the marriage certificate for her union to Raja Raganella, with full survivorship provisions for her own inheritances. Then, there were the birth notices for their two children, Kel'Al and Kay'li, a death certificate for Marie, and a Jedi decree on the death of Raja, with a sworn statement from Kel'Al as the only witness to his father's demise. And finally, a confirmation of Kel'Al's standing with CEC from then-chairman Tagert Hunt. The chain of succession was above reproach, and so the Jedi Master was fully within his legal rights to assign his stake in the famous corporation to the Trust that he and his sister had chosen to establish. The plan was quite simple, but also admirable: they had chosen to assign their family's accumulated wealth, which included land, their family stake in CEC, and residual revenue from Kel'Al's CEC patents, to a Trust which would manage the assets on behalf of any future, as-yet-unborn, non-Force-sensitive descendents of either sibling.Satisfied, Vance lowered his chair until all four legs were resting on the carpet of his office floor once more, then turned to the door of his office and called out, "Shirley, come put these back in my files, please." Setting the holobook down on the end of his desk, he took a sip of stimcaf, and gazed out the window at the picturesque skyline of Coronet City.[Years later.] =Vance Waterpool=Arriving in the Coalition District, a speeder slowed to a stop outside the office building that served as the public-facing side of CEC's ground operations at the Santhe shipyards, and a sharply-dressed, middle-aged lawyer stepped from the vehicle. The lawyer stopped for a moment to straightening his pocket square, then entered the building, briefcase in tow, and approached the main reception desk."Hi, Carla." He said to the young Duros woman who was currently on duty behind the counter. "Shirley called ahead to get me an appointment with engineering. I have something to show them." He winked, and helped himself to a YT-1300 shaped mint from the bowl on the counter.=Carla="Absolutely." The receptionist smiled, then pressed some buttons on her terminal. "One moment, Mr. Waterpool." By this time, Waterpool had become a familiar face around the Santhe Shipyards -- sometimes to celebrate the company's successes, and sometimes to argue with the company's leadership about their perceived failures. This visit was about neither. He'd uncovered something valuable in Kel'Al Raganella's old engineering files.

That sign should be fairly obvious to him looking out of the cockpit of his ship. Brock leaned up against some crates on the landing platform idly chewing on some nerf jerky as he waited to see what the newcomer who requested to speak to the Imperial Knights wanted. Although wearing his more common white and gold armor instead of the traditional crimson that most Imperial Knights wore, his presence here and the two lightsabers on his belt, one the traditional Imperial Saber while the other was distinctly more personal in origin, left little doubt to why he was hanging out at this particular platform, even if he did look a bit like a casual loiterer. =Theomiir Starstrider=Spotting the loiterer's sabers and guessing his true purpose in hanging out at what looked to be one of the least auspicious of High Port's landing facilities, Theo exited the freighter through the rear boarding ramp. After a quick look around, including a quick check of the Phoenix's remaining landing legs, he slowly approached the man in white and gold armor. The visitor was a young man in his early thirties, with short, black hair, and covered by a dark grey cloak, slightly tattered, from his shoulders to his knees. Below these were a pair of green pants, and thick-soled black leather shoes that enabled him to be surprisingly light in his footsteps. The Jedi had left his sabers behind, but a bulge on his right hip, beneath his cloak, implied that he was probably still armed."Hello." He said as soon as he was close enough. Yes, that one was definitely an Imperial saber. "Are you with the Imperial Knights?" He continued to suppress his presence in the Force, although he allowed himself a small portion of his feelings, testing for danger. Unless penetrating such illusions were a true specialty of the Imp, he hoped to be taken for nothing more than an untrained individual with slightly heightened Force potential, and definitely not as a trained Jedi. There would be time to reveal that later, after he had tested the man's abilities and his personal views on the Jedi Order.

G9 Rigger-class Light FreighterShip Class: Support Class Ship Role: Transport Ship Length: 34.1 meters Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 2 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 1 (Passenger capacity exceeds 5) Description:The G9 Rigger-class light freighter was a type of Corellian freighter manufacturer by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, and presumably well-armored like most other known models produced by CEC. Measuring 34.1 meters long and 16.9 meters wide (including its starboard outrigger), the small freighter had an outrigger that could be extended below its belly in flight, for added stability, and to provide an additional firing arc for the two blaster canons mounted there. It was already an aging model by the time of the Clone Wars, and was considered to be slow and unwieldy compared to starfighters. While not a military design, at least one such vessel, the Twilight, saw action in the Clone Wars, when Anakin Skywalker used it to escape Teth and was intercepted over Tatooine by Rogue-class starfighters. Obi-Wan Kenobi made the first reference to the existence of the G9 in Episode IV, when he told Luke Skywalker that his father had been a navigator on a spice freighter, which was true from a certain point of view: the Twilight had indeed been a spice freighter prior to Anakin's "acquisition" of the vessel on Teth. Armament:(1) Double laser cannon (rotating, top) (3) Heavy blaster canons (one starboard strut, two belly outrigger) Hyperdrive:- Class 3.0 Crew:(1) Pilot (1) Co-Pilot (6) Passengers Cargo: 70 tons

Corellian Fast Attack Frigate (FAF)Ship Class: Frigate Ship Role: Quick Strike Ship Length: 358 meters Agility (A): 4 Defensive (D): 2 Offensive (O): 2 Speed (S): 5 Special Gear: 1 (Advanced maneuvering thrusters) Description:Intended to fill the long-standing gap in the Corellian Naval catalog between the corvette class and the star cruiser class, the Corellian Fast Attack Frigate was designed with offense in mind. First designed years ago during the peak of Tagert Hunt, Alex Carter, and Kel'Al Raganella's influence over the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the plans were lost, but have now been uncovered and updated for the modern era. The FAF was capable of independent patrol or forward operations, but the real value came in its quick strike or counter-strike offensive capability when integrated into a larger fleet. The FAF isn't heavily armed, but it is armed with a deadly primary weapon system: a long-barreled heavy ion cannon and a single quad heavy turbolaser turret. These were enough to allowing it to confront larger capital ships for a short period of time in a quick-hitter operation. Meanwhile, the advanced maneuvering thrusters, combined with the craft's speed and the added stability of the starboard and port outriggers, allow it to outmaneuver larger and less agile capital ships, neutralize them with the ion cannon, and then move it for a quick kill with the main guns. Armament:(1) Heavy ion cannon (top) (1) Quad heavy turbolaser turret (fore) (8) Dual turbolaser turrets (4 starboard, 4 port) (12) Anti-starfighter laser cannons (4 fore, 2 starboard, 2 port, 4 aft) Complement:- 18 Starfighters - 2 Shuttles/Boarding craft Hyperdrive:- Class 0.85 - Backup Class 12

Yeah, you can fix that by using pixels instead of percent in your template.

the length of the ship was fine, i meant that the image you have for the ship is a bit image and that you should make it smaller. The 100 percent width comes from the template. If the RPA doesn't want large images, I recommend updating the template to enforce a fixed dimension (maybe a fixed maximum height?), not a relative dimension. I'll test that on mine and see. Edit: changed the max-width to a max-height of 300px, and I just went and checked it on a desktop. I think that's what you were looking for.
