The Solenbaran Diarchy Description and goals:
A former director of intelligence (ISB) from a crumbling Empire, Atash S. Torkan was tasked with pacifying the whole Corporate Sector. However, once the regime he served disappeared, the director seized power of all the conquered territories. His abolition of monopolies and slaveries led to a widespread revolt centered around Etti IV. In need of help, he signed a treaty with a member of the Inquisitorius -now essentially masterless-, Zariel, forming the basis of the Solenbaran Diarchy. The uneasy alliance between two very different Imperials managed to successfully regain all territory formerly under the Corporate Sector Authority and establish their domain over that corner of the Galaxy. Having not inconsiderable resources, the faction has developed newly-issued Imperial ships, some of them of imposing size and powerful armament. How to join:
- OOC: if you have any ideas for a character, Imperial in a quite traditional sense, feel free to send a pm to Atash S. Torkan, we're willing to collaborate in the creation of interesting and engaging storylines and situations for everyone involved. The faction was born out of desire to rp a faction deeply inspired by post-Endor warlords, including the Greater Malrood or the Pentastar Alignement. Thus, it offers the diversity of the said era but with an interesting feel of decadence and lost power.
- IC: If you're Imperial-aligned, you have a char or belong to another small faction and consider joining would be nice, approach Atash S. Torkan over Bonadan's orbit and work it out through roleplay. We're accomodating and welcoming, because we're a small faction willing to increase our numbers and provide an umbrella for all the like-minded roleplayers in the forums. Player interaction is encouraged and ensured.
Leaders: High Moff Atash S. Torkan, Inquisitor Zariel. The goverment of the Diarchy is branched out in two different halves: Order and Enforcement, with each diarch taking out two very different roles. The administrative apparatus is led by Torkan, who employs is considerable expertise in the betterment of the faction's prosperity, while also leading the former CSA's actives and executive board. The High Moff is also in charge of foreign policy and intelligence. Lady Zariel leads the military, both navy and army, while also being head of the Inquisitorius and, thusly, in charge of keeping peace and order within the faction's borders. Systems controlled: Bonadan, Telos IV and Etti IV (current capital and faction headquarters). Ongoing storylines: after unifying the Corporate Sector, the Diarchy strives to cement its newfound power in the Tingel Arm, while openning itself to wider Galaxy. Embassies are being conducted with the major Galactic powers and the Imperial faction is undergoing extensive reforms, both administrative and military. We are also making preparations for the annexation of The Maw and the remnants of its secret facilities. Ship roster (custom technology):

Hello all.
I’m looking to get involved with the Diarchy. What would be the best way to get my character involved? I’m not fully certain on the details of Lucius’s background as I was going to wait and see how things went getting him involved.

It’s a bit of a difficult question to answer in all honestly. Especially given how blank a canvas you are. Already being apart of the Diarchy would be just as easy as signing up and getting brought on board... guess it depends where you want to direct your writing. Either Force or Non-Force. Both decisions will have some branching roads to follow.

Pretty sure I won’t be pursuing a Force-sensitive role and stick ship command. Will definitely be a ruthless leader that will do pretty much anything to win proved he is allowed. He desires power and seeks to rise the ranks and to be feared by his enemies. Respects command provided he feels they have proven themselves worthy of it. Doesn’t backstab allies. Big supporter of the Tarkin Doctrine for the most part in using big shows of power to dominate his opponent. I pictured a lot of Col. Tavington from the Patriot in his character.
As for his start, wasn’t sure how to start him. Whether he is as located elsewhere and convinced to join by what Diarchy agents have witnessed or if he has been apart of it and has risen through the ranks. Maybe even an opponent that they admired and convinced to join them.

Military matters (Enforcement) fall under the Inquisitor Zariel, who is currently MIA. However, Vidarr is her second and right-hand and is an Admiral in the forming Solenbaran Navy, so perhaps I can be of assistance.
As for ship command, there are some ideas. However, considering your idea, let me ask you some questions: - Do you see Lucius joining prior to the Diarchy's formation or not? - If the latter, would be new recruit native to the CSA's former territory or an Imperial commander that was scooped up?

That is a hard decision. Part of me would like the story of being picked up by some through some discovery made of him. At the same time, part of me likes the convenience of him having already been involved since before the Diarchy’s creation, serving on a ship and working his way through the ranks to being granted a command of his own as the main introduction.
I’ll definitely need to think on it and get back to which side has more appeal.

Character background can always be a pain, had the same issue when I started with my first character on the FO side and even with Azrea here on the Diarchy, I had quite a lot of talks with Vidarr Saren and Oznerol what could be realistic for a Royal Guard character. In the end it's the best to decide on what you think might work out better for you, where everything else gets easily settled via RP.
Other than that I'm glad to see more members joining on the Diarchy. It's always good when the smaller factions get some attention too and can grow.

It certainly is a rare thing to have a character that fleshed out that you know where you are coming from right from the start.
And thinking it through, I’ve decided to go the route of Lucius joining prior to the creation of Diarchy, being part of the CSA and merged into the Diarchy’s control. I would like to see him start with a little bit of a service record serving on a ship (either not leading or in command of a small ship) and moving to the rank of a commander of a fleet of his own due to his achievements.
I think this would make things the easiest when getting him involved while still giving him a bit of story that leads up to his command. What do you guys think?

So a sort of spoil of war that the Diarchy gains? Or do you think your character would defect from the CSA to join the Diarchy? Cause the background of this nation is that they warred with the former CSA to gain control of this section of space. So which do you like? And yeah, I think having him start with a rank as a commander of his own fleet works just fine! We really don't have a lot of things. I think Vidarr is the only PC Admiral. Everyone else is with the reformed Inquisition, Azrea is with her Imperial Guardsmen duties, Torkan is High Moff, Zariel with the Inquisition, etc.

I think, to give it a little bit of a story, he was apart of the CSA that warred with the Diarchy, but once all was done, was brought into Diarchy. That or was convinced to join them in the middle of the conflict. Honestly kind of likely that second approach. Follow the idea of he switched sides because he saw something more from the Diarchy and was offered more than he was with the CSA. Go from serving on a ship to commanding a small command when he switched or at least moved to serve a greater role on a ship. Maybe given a high officer role under the command of one of the fleet commanders or the main leaders such as Atash or Zariel.

All military falls under Zariel with the Enforcement leader. Atash is involved with Order, so like law, economy, and such. We'd generally fall under the former's command, but Atash still has some influence in the military such as when he assigned Saren to revitalize the Diarchy Navy with newer creations out of Bonadan. Of course, with Zariel's approval.
And alright! So let's say... maybe he goes from ship commander to commanding a small flotilla in the midst of the war and this promotion makes him defect from the CSA to the Diarchy. Here's a nation that is willing to give him a chance to show off his talents as a naval commander. Plus, they seem to be winning, so would explain why Vasili would join. Unless you have another idea as to how he switches sides during the war.

Hmm, for the most part, it sounds like a solid approach. Would the Diarchy have used spies within the ranks of the CSA?
If so, I could see it playing out with Lucius having been part of the CSA when the Diarchy rose up and sought to claim hold over it. In that time, Lucius served upon a ship as a high ranking officer, but not a ship commander. As the war progressed, he made suggestions on tactics for the battles, but kept being overlooked due to his approach. This caused frustration but he remained loyal until spies caught wind of him, his tactics, and feelings and reported them back. Seeing him as a useful addition and ripe for taking him from the CSA, convinced him to join, promoting him and giving him a small fleet. Nothing but a few ships, but enough that could allow him to utilize his tactics against the CSA. The idea of promotion, given the chance to lead and implement his plans against those that denied him along with the Diarchy winning being more than enough to turn him. His tactics, while brutal, prove effective and with the Diarchy’s victory, the value of his efforts were rewarded. From there, he has continued to work to climb the ranks and gain what power available, leading to an eventual promotion with him taking control of a larger more dominating fleet.
If you think that going from commanding a single ship in a fleet with the CSA works better, it can be very similar to the Patriot and he makes a move that always gets serious backlash and threats of court martial or some form of punishment.

I could see spies being used in order to ensure they had an edge over the CSA for sure. Any means to ensure ultimate victory after all.
I think you for an excellent idea there! I really like it! A good thorough way of why he switched sides and how he proved himself to the Diarchy which warranted his promotion.
seeing as Saren is overhauling the navy, we can have the two be acquaintances due to the war and his promotion could come with the reorganization of the Diarchys naval assets and ships. Then maybe we can go off and do something as an introduction rp for Lucius. There are still some small tasks such as eliminating pirates towards the southern border or the remains of CSA loyalists near the Hydian Way.

After thinking it through and reading it over, definitely going to take the approach of him commanding a small ship, like a Raider, among a large fleet. That way, there's more substance to his tactics than just ideas as there are actions and scenarios which cause greater friction between him and the CSA superiors that the Diarchy use in its negotiating tactics.
But sounds like a plan to me. A good solid way to get Lucius rolling. Especially if he is the one being tasked, before and after promotion, at clearing up the final remnants of the CSA. A full closure on one story so another can flourish. A bit poetic.

Then I think we got ourselves a way for you to be a part of the Diarchy! If you want, we can start something over Bonadan that's leading up to Vasili's promised promotion then, from there, lead into mopping up some CSA remnants within the Diarchy's borders. Admiral Saren would be at Bonadan overseeing the construction of the newer Imperial models for the navy overhaul and such.
