Unfortunately, the Faction Bonus system is currently being reworked, so the Whill Council has put a hold on doing any scans or audits regarding Faction membership and individual IPs. There is a moratorium on any Faction points or SSD permissions being given out for the time being until the time when we get the system back up and running. This means that any use of anything involving the Faction Bonus system cannot take place in Open RP.
However, if all parties involved agree to the use of a SSD or any other Faction Bonus, that would classify it as Closed RP and that use would be acceptable. Several Factions/groups do this already; having Closed RP fleets, which exceed the limits of the Fleets regulations but are only used in Closed RP, and Open RP fleets for when not all parties involved agree to the use of Closed RP fleets.
When the Faction Bonus system is operational again, the transition of any ships gained using assumed Faction Bonuses for use in Closed RP back to Open RP may take place, so long as there is legitimate RP backing for the construction of said ships, as well as the Factions meeting the minimum requirements for whatever standards we put in place with the final, fixed, version.
We apologize for the inconvenience, ~The Whill Council.

The Imperial control sector, also known as the Emperor's Ruling City, was the capital city of the planet Byss during Emperor Palpatine's reign. Spanning an entire continent, it contained all the shipyards, industrial complexes, and administrative areas needed to run the Empire, including the Imperial Freight Complex. The Emperor's Citadel was located in the center of the control sector.

Here he gives an example of what he says the existing rules are there to prevent, and then provides a vehicle for a player to RP their way around the preventative rule. The operative phrase being "RP their way around."
The point of most of the restrictions we have is not to outright ban or completely prevent characters from owning certain items, if those items are gained in a meaningful way. It is to prevent people from claiming their new non-Mando character that has zero RP presence has, for example, a full suit of Beskar (or any other energy resistant metal) armor, or a non-YV starting out with full Vonduun crabshell armor. For a Mandalorian character it could be reasonable that they would have beskar armor, and some slack is given in this aspect. For a YV character, it would make sense that they would have the armor their species uses, if they are of the warrior caste at least.
A new character could be made with the explicit purpose of having an unfair, unearned, advantage over other characters in-Universe. That character could then, potentially, use that advantage to steamroll over members who did not decide to start their character out as the "bestest ever" or "strongest ever" or "had all the best things ever." The exception to this being, of course, if everyone who interacts with that OP character agrees to their abilities and such, making it a closed RP. But that OP character could not operate outside of Closed RP.
You can have YV tech. You can have Beskar as a non-Mando. You can have almost anything you want, you just need to write it out for it to be used in Open RP. As I said though, this really only becomes an issue when it comes to unplanned stories which can include fights, battles, invasions and such. This way a character CAN have their full beskar (or any other restricted items) in said fight without the other person saying they godmodded it into existence, and then bring it to our (the Whills) attention.
And in the case of receiving these items, someone other than you has to write giving it to your character. This prevents members from "gifting" themselves things from an NPC or throw-away character that is created only for the purpose of handing over tech, and then is forgotten or abandoned, never to be written as again.
These restrictions are to help prevent abuse in a similar vein to what happened in 1.0 and some of 1.5, with characters who had massively unfair...well...everything. Fleets of SSDs, rifting to invade planets in guerrilla attacks with baradium fission devices and then re-rifting to get away to safety, everyone having Ysalamir in all of their ships and riding on all of their troops and on themselves...I could go on. The point is, these things were magicked out of thin air. We do not want that, and so have put in place regulations with restricted items, BUT with ways to attain them LEGITIMATELY.Reverse engineering of alien species and technology has many examples in Legends, yet this is somehow banned. You are allowed be gifted such technology from another player. JvS has in the past allowed for the creation of new technology that improves upon or exceeds Canon and Legends technology. This is no longer the case as we no longer have a Patent Office to keep track of anyone and everyone's homebrewed tech. The Databank only allows for the creation of ships and space stations made using canon or legends technology. I'll refer you to number 5 of the General Rules.Reverse engineering technology in a written story can, potentially, happen; but there is a very fine line as to how this should be done and the rules for anything "created."
For example, if you wanted to reverse engineer YV tech, an amphistaff for example, you would need to first to get in your possession the original YV tech, which would have to come from a YV character written by someone other than yourself (for it to be used in Open RP, anyway). The reverse engineering process (studying, prototyping, manufacturing) would, preferably, need to be as detailed as possible, in multiple posts, over a good amount of time (R&D isn't easy, after all).
Anything created from this story would essentially be a reskinned version of the tech it comes from. It would operate, for the most part, exactly like an amphistaff in every way. No better, and potentially a little weaker even. You would need to list it as behaving like an amphistaff on your character bio, but it could potentially be approved for use in Open RP.
This is akin to writing out the manufacturing process for a faction-themed blaster rifle. If you want an E-11 blaster rifle that looks different for use of your Faction or Character, you can. But it must be noted that it operates exactly the same as its canon counterpart.
The important things to note are how the original restricted technology to be studied is obtained and where it comes from. For it to be accepted for use in Open RP, it must be gained fair and square, and best judgment should be used when deciding how it is used. Don't expect to get away with arming all of your NPC troops with beskar or YV tech just because you wrote it out. It would be limited to a PC character for the sake of balance and fairness to prevent abuse. If you want your character to have 30 "faction themed" reverse engineered amphistaffs you can, but I'd classify that as Closed RP. Don't expect anyone to take you seriously.
This generally applies to all "custom" technology. For example, a bionic eye (I'm always watching). If there is an example of a bionic eye being used in Star Wars, you can then create your own "personal" version of that technology. But it cannot go beyond what the canon version is noted being capable of doing for it to be used in Open RP, and should be limited in use to PCs or important NPCs. For example if the canon version is noted as being able to see across the vision spectrum, it would be acceptable for the "personal" version to have those same features as well. Going beyond that and adding all sorts of additional features (canon or not) is where you would run into problems with it being accepted for Open RP, regardless of how well you write it out. Trying to create an amalgamation of several different items into one single item would be going too far as well, as that would be seen as an improvement upon canon tech, or the creation of new technology. Even for Star Wars tech there is a limit to what one item can do. You can only fit so much into something without compromising other aspects of it and then having to compensate by adding MORE things into it, which would be considered creating new technology and against the rules.I feel making such things as YV tech for non YV or beskar for non mandos or chiss masers for non chiss available for individual players to RP or start out with, while still requiring a reasonable explanation as to how the character acquired the material/item is a better way to go about things. Leeway IS given for the rule of cool. If something is explained well enough and everyone agree to it, you can do almost anything. A non-mando character could probably get away with owning a single small piece of beskar armor. A non-chiss character could potentially own a chiss maser. But it would be best to fully explain, even if only in their bio, how they acquired such items and ask the community if it is acceptable for them to use it. If they wanted MORE beskar (or any other restricted item) for use in Open RP, they would then need to write it out. With this being a cooperative roleplaying site with many seasoned veterans, I would hope most would be accepting of a new character having some cool items if it makes sense for them to. I think most of our members can sympathize with wanting cool characters with cool things.
The biggest exception is YV tech, which needs to be obtained as laid out in the rules for use in Open RP.
Not everyone wants to start out as a young padawan and work their way up. Some characters are older starting out, and it would make sense for them to have more "equipment" than someone who is writing as a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed youngling.

I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but as I see it this is already how we regulate canon artifacts, superweapons, and species/culture specific items (like Beskar and Vong tech). I'm also assuming this is referring to the General Technology Rules and Miscellaneous Rules of Note page, where most of the information relevant to this proposal is located. Some of it is also alluded to in the Fleets and Armies board, how each troop or ground vehicle class is limited in their scope. We just don't put items individually into different classes...not exactly anyway. The way we do it is Restricted or Non-Restricted.
The general rule of thumb is to use best judgment, and when in doubt ask. Although as with any of the In-Universe rules, they only apply for Open RP. This is mostly for instances of unplanned invasions and fights/duels that are not agreed to beforehand; to prevent anyone from calling foul. Any of the rules regarding restrictions on any artifacts, force powers, metals, or technology are negotiable when in Closed RP: so long as everyone involved agrees. Also anything attained in Closed RP cannot be then transferred to an Open RP, unless everyone involved agrees (which would then make it a Closed or Semi-Closed RP anyway.)
Again, I apologize if I am misunderstanding. If I am, if you could elaborate I would be happy to read a fuller explanation.

Byss

ByssByss was a mythic paradise world enshrouded in the dark side of the Force, located within the isolated and nearly inaccessible Deep Galactic Core. It was situated at the end of the Byss Run, a heavily guarded artificial hyperlane kept open by hundreds of non-mass S-thread boosters, connecting the planet to the Core Worlds. The planet was otherwise nearly impossible to reach safely through hyperspace, due to the high density of stars in the Deep Core and the constantly shifting patterns of the region's natural hyperlanes. Byss was the fifth planet of the Beshqek system and orbited the star Beshqek; it was one of two habitable planets in the system, the other being Relus. The planet was orbited by five moons, which had little influence on its tides.
Bathed in a blue-green sunlight, Byss was originally a lush and fertile world. A natural conduit of Force power, it invigorated practitioners of the dark side in a flood of Force energy. Byss was corrupted by dark energies after Emperor Palpatine made the world his personal retreat and began leeching Force energy from the immigrants he lured there. Over time, the planet was transformed into one of the most powerful nexuses of dark-side energy in the galaxy.
Byss was renowned throughout planets under the control of the Galactic Empire as a legendary world of serene, paradisaical natural beauty. The planet was dotted with chains of lakes and rivers where microscopic lifeforms dwelled, as well as wind-smoothed plateaus and canyons. Its isolation from much of the galaxy allowed for its natural islands and pre–Expansionist Era ruins to remain untouched for thousands of years. After its corruption, the planet's soil lost much of its natural quality and produced little more than ferns and lichens. No intelligent species ever evolved on Byss, and what wildlife there existed was largely nocturnal and harmless. Byss was also devoid of any rare elements or heavy metals. The planet's calm, balmy climate and mild seasons, ranging from clear to rainy, were primarily caused by its minuscule axial tilt and stable geologic foundation. Violent phenomena, such as storms and volcanism, were extremely rare. This led to the creation of a myth, fabricated by the Empire, concerning a beautiful and mystic siren world hidden from the galaxy at large, where blissful contentment awaited any who chose to apply for immigration to the planet.Current Ruling Faction:First Order/Knights of Ren Astrographical Information:Region: Deep Core Sector: N/A System: Beshqek System Suns: 1 (Beshqel) Moons: 5 Grid Coordinates: K-11 Orbital Period: 207 standard days Rotation Period: 31 hours Physical Information:Class: Terrestrial Diameter: 21,600 kilometers Climate: Temperate Primary Terrain: Urban sprawls, plateau reserves, canyons, lakes Points of Interest: Byss Locations, The Lux Cathedral, the Citadel of the Ren. Empress TetaEmpress Teta was a city-planet located in the outer shell of the galaxy's Deep Core, at the terminus of the Koros Trunk Line directly galactic south of Coruscant. With over half its landmass covered by its capital Cinnagar, and vast reserves of carbonite that made the backbone of Empress Teta's economy, the planet was the center of galactic civilization in the Deep Core. While officially a monarchy, the Mining Guild held the true power on the planet in the post-Unification era as the stores of carbonite on the planet gave them the advantage of setting galactic prices on the valuable commodity. Due to the reliance on carbonite economically, mines dotted the surface of the planet and the cityscape, and had at one point threatened to completely shatter the environment of the world. The discovery of the valuable substance on the other six worlds of the Empress Teta system enabled the Mining Guild to do much of its business offworld, allowing the nonurbanized areas of Empress Teta to avoid the environmental damage that befell the other worlds of the system. Where the city had not grown, some areas of wildlife remained, including forests and plains.
In addition to the carbonite stores, Empress Teta was a major source of andris spice within the Core. An authorized supplier of the spice, andris' primary function was as a cure for hibernation sickness, a side effect that befell ancient colonists that had been frozen in carbonite on sleeper ships once they were woke from their slumber. Like most controlled substances, the criminal element on the planet had discovered a way to make andris spice a powerful stimulant and sought ways to sell it on the black market. This criminal problem was an issue until the rise of the Galactic Empire, which stamped out much of the black market dealers. Traffic in the planet's skylanes and orbit was controlled centrally from the Cinnagar Space Traffic Control tower. Cinnagar Control directed ships leaving orbit, arranged for repairs to returning vessels, and kept wanted vessels and those taking unauthorized action in line with its own defense force of Koros Spaceworks interceptors.
Empress Teta was a wealthy and fashionable world, typical of the many affluent planets in the galactic core, only slightly behind Coruscant itself in the amenities it offered. The ornate artistry of the world's architecture was admired, much of it having arisen in the reconstruction that followed the Great Hyperspace War. Galactic-class museums, fine restaurants, and boutiques attracted tourists and local aristocrats; all of whom flocked to Empress Teta's gems of history and luxury. While most Tetans who lived in the Core District of Cinnagar were accustomed to living in luxury, those who lived outside of the Core District of Cinnagar lived a working-class lifestyle. Nobles on the planet traced their ancestry back to the legendary Empress Teta herself; though some historians questioned her actual existence by the rise of the Galactic Empire. Lesser nobles possessed a share of the Mining Guild's activity in the system, allowing them to amass great fortunes.Current Ruling Faction:First Order Astrographical Information:Region: Deep Core Sector: Koros Sector System: Empress Teta System Suns: 1 (Koros) Moons: 3 Grid Coordinates: L-10 Orbital Period: 359 standard days Rotation Period: 23.5 hours Physical Information:Class: Terrestrial Diameter: 15,700 kilometers Climate: Temperate to Arctic Primary Terrain: Urban, forests, mountains, plains Points of Interest: Empress Teta LocationsFauna: N/A Societal Information:Immigrated Species: Human Population: 310 billion (71% Human, 29% other) Major Cities: CinnagarMajor Imports: Consumer goods, Processed foods, Raw materials Major Exports: Andris spice, Carbonite, Refined Fuel, Technology First Order Information:IC Sympathies tend towards:- First Order Members/Allies

*Australis Outpost - Somewhere on Myrkr*Two clan Australis grunts were sitting in the sensor control room for the outpost, in charge of monitoring this section of airspace over the planet, in the case of any unidentified craft somehow making it past their orbital defenses. Such a thing could never possibly happen, though. At least, that was what the two Australis soldiers believed, which it turned out was both a blessing and a curse. "Nothing ever happens out here! There's no way anything will ever make it down to us, but I'm just sitting here, with my thumb up my sheb!" One of the grunts complained to the other, who was kicked back in his chair, feet propped up on the console, drinking from a little coconut with an umbrella and crazy straw in it. "Reeeelaaaax, vod. Enjoy the peace while it lasts. It never does." The more tightly wound of the two grunts huffed and pointed an accusatory finger at his comrade. "This is all your fault we got this dush detail! I told you to get rid of that poster of the aliit'alor's daughter!" The grunt raised his hands to try and catch the attention of whatever deity had cursed him with such a horrible bunk-mate. "Oritsir, Hod Ha'ran! I do not know what has caused you to curse me, but I will have my revenge on you!" The more laid back of the of the two raised both his hands in a faux defensive position. "Calm down and drink your rum. It wasn't easy to smuggle here, especially after the C.O. ransacked my bunk. Lost most of my stash. Don't ask how I got it here." The laid back grunt took a sip from the crazy straw. He pointed at the other coconut that was across from his more tightly wound partner, who's face was now red with anger. His eyes widened, and he opened his mouth to begin a tirade not unlike the one their commanding officer had given both of them before sending them out in the middle of nowhere, when the outposts klaxons began going off. Something was in Australis airspace.Screens lit up and the red emergency lights flickered as the sensors picked up something...big. The tightly wound grunt shoved his ally's boots off the control console, and looked at the readouts of whatever had tripped the alarms. He frowned in confusion. "That can't be right." Without another word, the grunt stood up and left the outpost through the doors, to look outside. The other Australis soldier simply shrugged and continued sipping on his rum through his swirly straw. From his helmet, which was in his lap, he heard his commlink crackle to life as his partner contacted him from outside. ::Vod...come out and take a look at this...:: The grunt set down his coconut drink and put on his helmet to respond. ::Me'bana? We under attack?:: His comm crackled again as his partner spoke again, but it seemed it was not directly to him. ::How is this even poss-:: The link went to static, as if there was heavy interference or signal blockage, even at such a short range between their comms. Slightly worried at this point, the grunt jumped from his chair, grabbing both coconuts on the way out to join his friend outside. As he stepped onto the veranda, drinks still in hand, he slowly approached from behind his companion, who was staring at the sky. His helmet hid his expression, but beneath it his jaw was agape. As the drink toting grunt made it to the railing where his flabbergasted compatriot, he joined him in looking up at the sky. The two coconuts slipped from his grasp as the same shock overtook him as well, their contents spilling out onto the ground. "Woah."A giant asteroid had somehow appeared within atmosphere of Myrkr. The celestial body, however it had arrived, stayed aloft for a few more moments. Atop the asteroid, a humanoid-looking being with long white hair and beard wearing naught but some tight fitting green pants and a pair of black sunglasses, walked across the surface of the celestial body. From a hip holster he pulled out a travel mug and drank some of its contents before returning it to his hip. He took hold of a pair of reins, attached to the asteroid's surface by stakes driven into it. Adjusting his sunglasses, the being clicked his tongue and lifted the reins up, signaling to the giant space rock it was time.A signal would air through the clan Australis communication channels as the asteroid began its descent, which caused even greater panic than was already happening. An asteroid appearing out of nowhere was not something that anyone could miss. Even as fighters were launched from bases on the surface, and ships in orbit turned their attention to the asteroid, it was already too late. Fire erupted before the asteroid as the friction from the speed at which it was descending. What was odd was that from the perspective of the two grunts still staring up in shock, it was growing smaller as it got closer. The asteroid was, in fact, compressing in on itself, as if under an immense pressure. The being that had been riding atop was no longer there, as what was once a giant space rock was now too small to comfortably reenact a similar scene from an old holofilm. It was now the size of a home refrigeration unit, and rectangularly shaped. The fire dissipated, and any damage caused by the gravitational forces was somehow instantly reverted back to their pre-asteroid state, and all recorded evidence of the asteroid was scrubbed, as if it had never happened. The black rectangular rectangle stood like a dark monolith among a grassy clearing, standing around nine feet tall, and four feet wide, sticking out like a sore thumb. The rectangle shaped former asteroid was sleek and black like the void of space, with an obsidian sheen and perfectly smooth. There was no visible way to gain entry into it, no handles or scanner of any kind. When the person it was meant for would stand before it, its seamless surface would open to reveal the contents; a magnificent caf bean producing plant, genetically modified to forever be in season and producing. As well as an assortment of caf related tools to turn the beans produced from the plant into the most delicious caf in this sector, such as an automatic bean roaster/grinder/brewer combination machine, several mugs, and a shelf with ingredients to get any desired flavor. Lastly, there was a smaller box, the same composition as the larger one it sat within, but inside this black obsidian box was a bag of beans, specially grown by the Whill of Coffee, made especially to bring forth the memories of whomever they were grown for, and only that person. Atop the smaller enclosed box was engraved the name Kaine Australis. Finally, one of the Australis grunts came to his senses, shaking the other by the shoulder. What had only been less than five minutes had seemed an eternity, as they both were still in shock from the terrifying event that had just transpired."Hail the aliit'alor! Tell him we have eyes on the impact...no...landing site?...Just tell him we have eyes on the...thing!" His face unnaturally pale beneath his helmet, and a slight tinge of feces emanating from his armor, the previously laid back grunt snapped to attention and ran inside the outpost to reach their clan's leader, Kaine Australis. The grunts, after cleaning their armor, would arm up and go to secure the area of the monolith.

Tatooine Tatooine was a desert world and the first planet in the binary Tatoo star system, located in the Outer Rim. It has three moons; Ghomrassen, Guermessa and Chenini. Due to Tatooine orbiting its two suns, Tatoo I and Tatoo II, the planet is oppressed by a scorching climate. The whole planet is covered in harsh deserts, mountains, and canyons which make traversing the planet very difficult. The planet is filled with many natural hazards including sudden sandstorms and carnivorous Krayt dragons. Due to the absence of surface water, those who live on Tatooine had to draw moisture through the dry air. The planet has built up a very bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the high-level of criminals who could be found on its surface. From mercenaries and bounty hunters, to crime lords and general ne'er-do-wells, Tatooine is regarded as a planet filled with opportunity for those with little to no regard for Galactic Law.Astrographical Information:Region: Outer Rim Territories Sector: Arkanis Sector System: Tatoo systemSuns: 2 Moons: 3 Grid Coordinates: R-16 Rotation Period: 23 standard hours Orbital Period: 304 local days Physical information:Class: Terrestrial Diameter: 10,465 kilometers Atmosphere: Type I (breathable) Climate: Hot and arid Gravity: Standard Primary terrain: Desert, Some oases, Mesas, Buttes, Canyons Societal Information:Native Species: Kumumgah (extinct), Tusken Raiders, Jawas Immigrated Species: Innumerable different species Population: Roughly 200,000 Government: Local councils Major Cities: Mos Eisley, Mos EspaMajor Imports: Metals, Foodstuffs, Chemicals, Medicine, Technology Major Exports: Minerals, Illegal goods, Crime Places of Interest: Tatooine LocationsTatooine Information:IC Sympathies tend towards:- Travellers

Any major factions/chars/places of interest that have been RPed here:- Sand People Enclave - A large Tusken settlement, located far north of the Mospics and Mos Espa, nestled in a valley of two twin mountains.
- Jabba's Palace - Originally erected as a monastery of the B'omarr Order, the buildings eventually fell into the hands of two major crime lords: first an outcast and gang leader called Alkhara and later Jabba the Hutt, a notorious crime lord from Nal Hutta.
RP of Krayt Dragon Slaying:When hunting a Krayt Dragon, please write out the story as much as possible. They are to be assumed rare, hard to find, and extremely dangerous. Writing a single paragraph post is not considered acceptable. Suggestions and/or rule variations for this Planet:Tatooine has a wide variety of species and cultures coming to and from it and is well known for being a lawless world. This is much still the case, but please be mindful of other writers. It is of the utmost importance that we make Tatooine a bastion of creative and collaborative writing. Tatooine is an open world, meaning there's no need to request clearance to land. All police/military forces are NPCs and are left up to the writers inciting their appearance to control. Considering most police/military forces are bribed or owned by local crime lords, it is always safer to carry a weapon. RP planning mostly takes place in PM or in the JvS Discord Chat. If you have any questions about Tatooine or wish to start a story including the locals, please PM Nartaga. What to expect as a new RP arrival wanting to write here:New members are welcomed to join in any roleplays. However it is suggested to PM any members you wish to roleplay with beforehand. New members may PM any members involved on the planet to ask them to join a roleplay they wish to do. Tatooine Defenses:While Tatooine does not have an official standing military, almost every denizen of this planet is armed with usually less than legal weaponry. Crime Lords and townships alike have their own militias for protection. Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters armed to the teeth fill the bars. Ships belonging to smugglers and legitimate traders alike fill the spaceports. There is no shortage of people that will give anyone seeking to take what doesn't belong to them (or in some cases does) trouble.

Dažbog walked the hallways of the Temple, as one does when they had eternity, drinking a wonderful brew from a black ceramic mug with a chibi version of himself holding up two coffee mugs of its own. The Whill was dressed in his pajamas, unable to sleep. So he had decided to take a look around and see how things had been since the last time had posted in this thread. Not much had changed, but that was not necessarily a good thing. The bearded Whill paused mid-step as he heard a skittering noise, making his beard hairs tingle. He looked around, unsure of who else would be walking around the Temple during this house, but he always enjoyed it when anyone stopped by. Why would they be hiding though? To any mortals he had the appearance of a friendly elderly fellow who just happened to be in amazingly good shape. Nothing to be afraid of.A blur passed in the Whill's peripheral, and he whipped around to confront whatever it was that was hiding from his sight. Yet he saw nothing. Sighing and taking another long sip from his mug, Dažbog shrugged and turned around to head back to his bedroom. When he turned around, before him stood the forty and a half centimeter member of the tridactyl species: a child, probably no older than fifty years or so, in a billowy robe-like garb almost too big for its tiny body. The youngling looked up at the towered being before him with its large eyes, cooing softly and reaching its hands up towards the Whill. Dažbog put his free hand on his hip as he frowned. "Now what are you doing out here? You should know better than to be out and about at this hour."The child tilted its head in confusion at the Whill, unsure of how to answer. Dažbog took a tentative step towards the youngling, so as not to spook it, but was met with an animalistic hiss. "Come now. Let's get you back to bed." The child hissed again dropped down on all fours, arching its back, the bones in its small body changing position to accommodate its shift in form. The being's mouth widened, hidden retractable razor-sharp teeth extending down into its now gaping maw. A feral screech echoed past its lips as it attempted to intimidate the much taller being. The Whill raised an eyebrow in confusion, but knelt down, extending his hand to the now fully transformed tridactyl. While it still had the basic features of the Child that had visited the planet so long ago, it now moved upon all fours like a beast. With another screech, the transformed child dodged the Whill's hand, using its improved claws, now much more like talons, to climb up the wall and onto the ceiling, calling out in a wild fury at the other being, hissing and spitting. The coffee god let out a huff, his frown deepening. He spoke in a firm tone of voice to the creature now leaving claw marks all over the Temple ceiling. "I'll give you to the count of three to come down from there..." The diminutive creature hissed again, arching its back even more. Dažbog held up his free hand and held up his pointer finger, indicating the number one. "One..." The small green creature roared out, baring its many rows of teeth capable of ripping into flesh. Dažbog brought up his middle finger along with his pointer, to show he had gotten to the next number. "Two..." With another fierce screech, the creature charged towards the Whill, still upon the ceiling. Small bits of stone fell down to the floor as the tiny beast's talons tore into it to gain speed and still be upside down. Dažbog raised his ring finger to join the other two, his frown contorting into an angry grimace, a fire igniting in his eyes. "Three..."The tridactyl monster changed its direction as an attempt to confused its target, turning left and gaining even more momentum by climbing down the wall and then back onto the floor in a spiral. It used its powerful hind legs to launch itself up into the air and at the bearded Whill. It's jaw opened, and it clamped down on Dažbog's other arm, which was horizontal so as not to spill the mug of coffee he held in his hand. It gnawed and chewed on the Whill's appendage, but none of the seemingly mortal skin would break open. Still it continued its vain attempts to rip open the arm with its rows of fangs. Dažbog's enraged look softened suddenly, realizing the true reason the youngling had been up and about. He stroked the head of the mutated tridactly like a pet. "You just couldn't sleep cause you're teething, huh? You must be so agitated...Poor thing." Dažbog gripped the robe of the small beast and pulled it from his arm. Using the Force to keep his coffee mug afloat midair, the Whill willed into existence a teething ring next to it. The bearded coffee god shushed the still protesting creature, and held it like a baby in one arm. With his other hand he grabbed the teething ring from the air and put it in front of the transformed tridactly's mouth. With much delight it bit into the ring, which material it was made of had just enough give to satisfy and lessen the discomfort the youngling felt. As it chewed away at the ring, it slowly shifted back into its original form, that of a harmless tridactyl child.Dažbog nodded his head in satisfied, making his way to the gift shop which totally did not sell overpriced cheap junk to make a profit at all, tickling the chin of the young being, smiling to himself. The child continued to chop down on the teething ring with teeth normal for its species. "I know...But you mustn't leave. What if we had a visitor and they had seen you?" The child cooed and looked up in confusion at the Whill's face. Dažbog nodded again, his smile turning upside down in sadness. "Yes, I'm afraid that it's time you go back to bed...But you can keep this..."The Whill wiggled the teething ring with his other hand. The child giggled, its big dark eyes sparkling with joy. "...so that you don't make me worry again."Dažbog entered the gift shop near the entrance of the temple. Inside were replica artifacts for every Whill that had ever taken up the mantle, the most prominently displayed of which were the pointed hats. Close to the cash register, so as to encourage impulse buying, were shelves filled with (currently) unmoving replicas of the Child, as seen in the popular Disney+ show, the Mandalorian. Dažbog took hold of the child under both its arms and placed him in the vacant spot it had left. The tiny being waved its hands goodbye, with the Whill returning the gesture with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. The child bit into the teething ring a few more times before resuming its position to appear like an inanimate object. The life left its eyes, and they appeared to be nothing more than glass or plastic. It did not blink, it did not move, it did not even have a heart beat. It was as if it was nothing more than a toy. In its hand, however, it still held the teething ring.Dažbog walked to the door to leave the gift shop, turning to look at the many full shelves of the Child replicas, waving to each of them. "Sleep well my little ones...Soon your time shall come..." The Whill nodded his head, satisfied with himself, before taking his coffee mug back into his grip. As he left he hummed a popular tune to himself, with a grin on his face. The Whill re-continued his walk around the Temple.

Introducing JvS Squadron ComplementsWith the hard work of the current and previous RPA, the Whill Council has approved what we hope will help alleviate one of the biggest limitations with the current Personal Fleet system: Starfighter Squadron Complements. Now, each ship class comes pre-equipped with Starfighters based on their JvS classification. No longer do you have to spend most of your fleet points to fill up your capital ships with starfighters. There is also a system in place for upgrading the amount of starfighters a ship comes with, utilizing a combination of the MAD system and Fleet points. The new Starfighter Squadrons system is located in the Fleets and Armies sub-board, with the other rules regarding ships and ground forces, here. Please read the new system rules carefully before re-creating your personal fleets, and remember to reference the Database of Ships and Space Stations for proper ship classes and MAD values. If you have any questions regarding the new Starfighter Squadrons system, please contact a Whill or a Databank Operator for assistance.

Starfighter SquadronsWhile individual starfighters must still be purchased utilizing fleet points, larger ships automatically come with a complement of starfighters, the number of which is dependent on their JvS ship classification as determined by their ship length. Please refer to the list of personal ship classes and their point cost here to help determine your fleet's composition. No starfighters gained from this system may be used as Personal Starfighters by Player Characters. They are to be used in combat scenarios ONLY! If you believe that someone is abusing this system please contact a Whill via PM, Report a Post using the post options button or create an infraction report to be reviewed by the Whill Council. Upgrading Starfighter CapacityEach class of ship can be upgraded with more hangar space to carry a larger amount of starfighters. This is done by using more of your fleet points. Upgrading a ship's carrying capacity requires half the fleet point cost of the ship in question. The ship you are upgrading also needs to have the "Extra Hangar Space" special gear using the MAD system or canonically has the potential carrying capacity of greater than the default. If a ship in question does not have this special gear, it only comes with the default number of Starfighters for its ship class. A new sub-class of that ship can be submitted for review and approval by the Databank with the appropriate special gear. To determine the MAD point categorization of a ship, please refer to the Database of Ships and Space Stations. If the ship you wish to use is not currently listed in the Database, you can create a submission in the Submissions sub-board, following the guidelines laid out in the Submissions Guide. Once it has been approved you are free to use that ship. The numbers in parenthesis are the upgraded numbers for each class of ship. Faction Ship (SSD) Starfighter ComplementsFactions that have been approved use of Faction Fleet points can also utilize the Complement system, but to a slightly different degree. Any faction class ship's complements are non-upgradeable. This means that there is no option to add an 'Extra Hangar Space' special gear to increase the number of starfighters that come with the SSD. Below are the complements given to each faction class ship. Example Cruiser class ship (without upgraded Starfighter Complement): 16 Fleet Points Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 2 (Extra Hangar Space, Upgraded Hyperdrive) Starfighter Squadron Complement: 36 Starfighters Cruiser class ship (with upgraded Starfighter Compliment): 24 Fleet Points (Half of 16 is 8. 16 + 8 is 24)Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 2 (Extra Hangar Space, Upgraded Hyperdrive) Starfighter Squadron Compliment: 72 Starfighters If a ship is canonically incapable of carrying starfighters, it does not receive any of these benefits. If the maximum number of starfighters a ship can canonically carry is different than its potential JvS allotment, the smaller of the two will be used as the non-upgraded allotment.Fleet ProfilesWith this new system in place, remember to show the number and type of starfighters each ship is carrying on your profile or in a Personal Databank. If you are using a Personal Databank thread for your Fleet Profile, you must still link the thread on your character's profile to ensure easy access to anyone looking for that information. You may mix and match the types of Starfighters that each ship carries, but must make note of the quantity and model of each different Starfighter type.Example Fleet Profile Imperial I-class Star Destroyer 128 pointsStarfighter Complement: 48 Starhunter starfighters 12 First Order TIE bombers 12 TIE/sf Space Superiority Fighters 48 + 12 + 12 = 72
This is just an example of how your fleet composition should be on your profile/personal databank. So long as all of the relevant information is included, that is acceptable.

I believe a discussion has opened within the DO about the inclusion of Ground Vehicles into the Databank, though this discussion has not yet made it to the Whills for approval. I can neither confirm or deny whether it will be approved or not, but it is something that we may be taking a look at in the future.
Regarding arms companies; the current business regulations are slightly outdated, but follow them for now until an announcement is made about them being updated. The current rules state that you may create non-canon products of a canon business.
For weapons: as Zion pointed out, liberties may be taken for the some individuality and custom look to fit your aesthetic, with wiggle room for personal customization. For instance, you could add a canon grenade launcher onto a canon blaster and use a non-canon picture from another source to depict this. This would create a non-canon item using canon products, noting back to the non-canon products rule in the Business rules. This is acceptable on a small scale.
Personalized lightsabers have never been entirely restricted, though there are a number of crystals that have long been banned (see General Tech Rules link below). It's just best to go into detail with the specifics of any customized-canon personal weapons/armor on your profile or in your character's Personal Databank thread.
With artifacts, I'll refer you to theGeneral Technology Rules and Miscellaneous Rules of Note. At the bottom there is a section about Unique (i.e. canon) artifacts in Open RP. That whole rule post can be used as a guideline for what is and is not acceptable. This does not restrict the creation for interesting non-canon artifacts for the sake of story, or canon artifact use in Closed RP or the JotW. What is Star Wars without its cool mystical treasures that have the potential to unbalance power of the squabbling factions? While artifacts may be created, it is best practice not to create "an all powerful artifact that allows you to do all the things."
As with anything, if we believe there is any abuse or advantage being taken of the leeway that is given with these rules, the Whill Council will step in.

KinyenKinyen was an agriworld in the Expansion Region, located on the Corellian Trade Spine at the junction to the Great Gran Run. It was the Gran homeworld, with a recorded history dating back to 10,000 BBY. Though it was an outpost of the violent Rakata during the Pre-Republic era, during its recorded history, the planet has had no local wars. At the time of the Clone Wars, Senator Kharrus represented Kinyen in the Galactic Senate.Current Ruling Faction:Blackguard ImperiumAstrographical Information:Region: Expansion Region (Canon/JvS) Sector: Bes Ber Bikade SectorSystem: Kinyen SystemGrid Coordinates: L-15 Trade Routes:Rotation Period: 28 standard hoursOrbital Period: 256 local daysPhysical Information:Class: Terrestrial Primary Terrain:Points of Interest: Dal ForestFlora: SilvergrassFauna:Societal Information:Native Species: GranPrimary Language(s):Government: Socialist Demarchy Population: 1.983 billion Demonym: Kinyenian Major Cities:Major Imports: Technology Major Exports: Foodstuffs Blackguard Imperium Information:IC sympathies tend towards:- Sith/Blackguard Members

EriaduEriadu was the primary world in the Seswenna sector, and one of the Outer Rim's most active trade centers. It sat on the intersection of several hyperspace routes, including the Rimma Trade Route, the Hydian Way, the Lipsec Run, and the Yankirk Route.
The planet was originally located on the Eriadu Bypass until the Hydian Way was remapped to run through Eriadu (reflecting economic realities) rather than Seswenna. It was an important launch point for ships headed to the Moddell sector, such as the colony ship Free Enterprise in 130 BBY.
Eriadu was a terrestrial planet that occupied the fourth position from the star Eriadu in the Eriadu system, at the center of the Seswenna sector in the Outer Rim Territories region of the galaxy. Eriadu served as the capital of the Seswenna sector and was situated at the intersection of the Rimma Trade Route, the Hydian Way, the Lipsec Run, and the Yankirk Route. Possessing a breathable atmosphere, standard gravity, and a single moon, Eriadu was a gray factory world of rugged landmasses and narrow seas whose terrain included industrial cityscape and waste zones. The planet had a day that lasted 24 standard hours, a year that consisted of 360 local days, and diameter of 13,490 kilometers.
Eriadu's climate was polluted and an orange haze appeared in its lower atmosphere; the world was dominated by heavy industry, and toxic by-products spewed from numerous unregulated factories fouled its air, land, and sea. Most of the inhabited regions on Eriadu were heavily industrialized with blocky, utilitarian architecture. The advanced waste disposal systems, atmosphere scrubbers, and aquifer purifiers that were used on most prosperous worlds were absent on Eriadu. Eriadu Manufacturing, the largest employer on the planet, was by far the greatest polluter, and its processes were directly responsible for much of the environmental damage inflicted on the planet's ecosystem. The rapid industrialization of Eriadu drove most of its native species into extinction; the Eriaduan rat, which thrived in the new environment, was one exception.
In spite of its pollution issues, Eriadu was an active hub of trade and government in the Outer Rim Territories. Eriadu imported foodstuffs, medicinals, and lommite ore, and exported computer technology, manufacturing, textiles, and droids. Although several droid manufacturers were present, droid labor was uncommon on Eriadu; despite this, at least one EV-series supervisor droid that had been equipped with an MDF motivator instead of the standard EV motivator was used on Eriadu, where, as a result of sadism induced by the MDF motivator, it had the feet of 160 droids melted to a factory floor to prevent them from leaving their work stations. Apartments on Eriadu, rented under false names, were among the off-world assets of House Organa.
Major cities on Eriadu included its capital, Eriadu City, Phelar and Old Town Factoryville. The planet was also mentioned to have forests. Eriadu was orbited by one natural moon, a pair of shipyards: Eriadu Manufacturing Shipyards and Quintad Orbital Manufacturing, and several orbital habitats.Current Ruling Faction:Quintad Directive/ Sith EternalAstrographical Information:Region: Outer Rim Territories Sector: Seswenna Sector System: Eriadu Sun(s): 1 Moon(s): 1 Grid Coordinates: M-18 Physical Information:Class: Terrestrial Diameter: 13,490 km Climate: Temperate Primary Terrain: Industrialized cityscape, waste zones, and seas Points of Interest: Eriadu LocationsNative Flora: Creatures of EriaduSocietal Information:Native Species: Humans Primary Language(s): Galactic Basic Standard Population: 22 Billion Major Cities: Cities of EriaduMajor Imports: Foodstuffs, Medicinals, Lommite Ore Major Exports: Computer Technology, Manufacturing, Textiles, and Droids Sith Eternal InformationIC sympathies tend towards:- Sith

The traditional leadership fell to the notable and prestigious Tarkins. Olin Tarkin serves, alongside four others, as the collective leadership of the Seswenna Sector. - Enticing a puppet, Dash Tarkin, son of Olin, the Sith Eternal performed an expert coup, seizing the planet and its industry within a week. The victorious Sith and their Eriaduan allies formed a new government called the Quintad Directive with Dash Tarkin as High Marshal, creating the appearance of yet another 'Imperial Remnant' in the area, thus marking it as the third creation. - For their efforts, the Sith are willed Raven's Peak, a highly secure military compound, as their base of operations. MustafarMustafar was a small planet located in the Mustafar system of the Outer Rim Territories, coreward of Rutan, between the Hydian Way and the Ninth Quadrant.
A fiery volcanic world where an unusual type of lava was mined as a natural resource, Mustafar often served as a place to dispose of unwanted evidence, a quality which drew Black Sun to the planet. It also drew the Sith: it was here that Darth Maul began his training under Darth Sidious. Mustafar served as the last capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, thus becoming the site of the Separatists' downfall, an event that shaped galactic history. In a duel that followed, Darth Vader fought his former mentor, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The fallen Jedi lost and was severely burnt after he was caught on fire by one of Mustafar's lava rivers, forcing him to wear a suit of dark armor to live.Current Ruling Faction:Blackguard ImperiumAstrographical Information:Region: Outer Rim TerritoriesSector: Atravis SectorSystem: Mustafar SystemSuns: 1: PriateOrbital Position: 3 Moons: 0 Grid Coordinates: L-19 Trade Routes: Tosste SpurDistance from Core: 53,000 light-yearsRotation Period: 36 standard hoursOrbital Period: 412 standard daysPhysical Information:Class:- Wasteland (modern)
